Yeah, I still think that the idea of Bill Cosby, the guy that created "Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids" and "Little Bill", being a rapist is ridiculous! There are fucked up people in this world who would get a kick out of doing such a thing! 3:00 the amount of detail is crazy if you slow the video down to .25 he actually does what the guy said and twist the sword to pull him back in. It happened so fast i think they missed it.
You can imagine that implementing proper blocking and evading the momentum of each enemy attack from various angles would've been insanely complex.
Finally “experts” that don’t ruin the game they make it so much more exciting

The sword technique does exist, at least in Ninjutsu, where an opening, like the open chest or torso, is presented to the opponent to lure him to an attack.
I agree the reaction and analysis was excellent, but they're not taking into account context. Jin becomes more dishonorable throughout the story when he realises honor won't win the war.

There’s are some styles for specific enemy’s in the game and for a very big guy its like you turn your body right and for spearmen they have their stomach open for you to attack but you can dodge it pretty easily for me lol and for shieldmen you have your right arm up with your katana ready to strike from above or on the side, and for a enemy with a normal katana you have it your two arms on the katana ready to cut their stomachs open.

I find it interesting that their main issue was with the stances the player was using, whereas the stances the opponents used were good. I’m wondering if the player was just using the wrong stance? Because you can change your stances in that game
I wish they had gotten a chance to watch the different techniques, controlled by a player with a lot of experience with the game/style.
There's plenty of videos, now, of certain players displaying flawless shonen, samurai, etc combat. Rather than someone that's just playing it like a general videogame combat system.
I feel like these guys would thoroughly enjoy that.
I liked that bit where dude was like "you show respect as a warrior to your enemy regardless of what they've done, you never go in with hatred", to me that was beautiful, a mark of a real warrior and gentleman

Just played through this game. The stances are optional, you have to pick different ones to so different attacks.
It’s interesting that they’re so knowledgeable on swords that they feel the impact of it, like normal people when they see someone get a splinter
A lot of people didn't like them last time cuz the game (sekiro) was obviously inaccurate and fantasy based.
I hope this changes their opinion because I think they are pretty cool.
They could show them for honor too. A quarter of the characters are samurai. Its got some roots in real swordplay
The problem with these games is that "cool" characters use really terrible and shitty guards and telegraphed, elaborate slashes. Not meant to be a realistic game,
The slashes go through meat and bone quite easily without doing much visible or practical damage.
I'm just disappointed, that yeah again even this gen a cool swordfighter does too fancy and elaborate to work techniques while enemies here seem to fail to match him even.
If the enemy and friendly chars equally telegraph then it's kinda realistic, but these swings are ridiculously long
It's really hard to say that this is grounded in reality when it doesn't particularly go that hard.
Urm KCD was amazingly realistic at sword combat which is a given, but I'm assuming cuz these guys deal with two handed Asian swordsmanship vs European combat in the middle ages it was different for them that way too.

@@gustavocampos1781 The Samurai culture isn't around anymore. It was both a caste and a rank. It's the same as something like a medieval knight. You can be descended from that lineage, but it doesn't necessarily make you one.

@Jackson McMillen There are footages from the state of play video but they could've added it in edit post shoot.
I get the impression that they take suggestions really well but doesn't do a lot of research on the game being suggested. That's why, for example, in the Escape From Tarkov video a lot of people complained they didn't show the experts the best gameplay around.
They said once in a comment before that they need permission to use footage from other poeple (YT, Streamers, Etc...). Maybe they don't go out to get permission from people and just give them free/stock footage from trailers or early releases? I'm not sure, but they really need to step it up.

I mean they're a gaming channel with some funding and staff so I presume they can afford to buy these games and record some gameplay. Or...just let the experts play the games.

I think they will add more to the story. Because Khotun said when he died, " there will be more of us coming". And we might also meet Yuna and others again. The game talked quite a bit about the mainland. Maybe the dlc will expand the map to mainland. Maybe we have stories relating to the shogun. I wanna see all of the hidden mysteries so bad.
I think him mentioning that more will come was An allusion to the real life second mongol invasion of Japan.

I unsubed from his channel when he started calling people that corrected his misstatements aviation nerds(not me but I did call out his douchebaggery), so take his videos with a grain of salt, and know that his attitude is atypical of most fighter pilots but very typical of F-16 pilots(I've known a few RL) they are the biggest pricks.

The whole respect your enemy thing is so interesting. Makes me literally look at the morality of killing. If two opponents respect each other and one shows the other a warriors death, it almost makes it ok? Does that make sense? Not ok but like idk how to explain my thought here. It’s different from like a modern gun fight or something. There’s no respect for the enemy there, and most people are not content with death. Or there’s that feeling I’m sure many snipers have in particular, where you just kill someone without them even knowing an enemy was even there, and then get the feeling like you just murdered someone. Where as if you’re defeated in a dual on your knees bleeding from your stab wound in the gut, it’s a gift to be given a proper death via your enemy. When you’re up against an enemy face to face like in a dual you can really understand what they’re feeling, and grant them the death they deserve. Even thank them for a well fought battle. Making them feel somewhat content in their death. I find that fascinating.

In Ghost of Tsushima, the game tries to make you kill ur enemies with respect, by having a just fight, face to face and not to assassinate through the shadows. In the game, if you kill too many people trhough assassinations and u reach a certain number, a memory will appear of your uncle, who taught you the ways of the samurai, telling you exactly that. Don't kill without honor, look your opponent in the eye and give him and honorable death.

ah so the game does have the mechanics of the onimusha series. Iaijutsu the badass technique that can most certainly get you killed if you do it without any experience.

I really like that move of Masako where it looks like she's rollerblading towards Jin. It looked so badass.
And I really hate the fact that they included any video of Jin fighting Masako, as it's a major foooooooooking spoiler for those of us not that far in the game.

The game was amazing at release but the animations in this pre-release footage are so awesome and smooth! I hope a sequel utilizes the new consoles better for a game that looks and plays more like this footage.
1:35 The practice Mr. Mok is referring to I believe is Batto-do/Batto-jutsu and it's MUCH harder than it looks. Not just hacking at something like cutting down a tree, but you're using the curve of the blade and slightly pulling to do the cutting for you - at least, it's how it was explained to me. :)

I LOVE Ghost of Tsushima!! I loved it so much I had over 60 Hours into the game before I even started play the first story missions to get the Bow & Kunai. I left all the encampments alone I just ran around slaughtering the ever spawning Mongal enemies leveling up while collecting as much as I could.
My only complaints were 1) the world felt sparse, it was beautiful but it felt super empty giving you nothing to really do besides collectables & Random encounters. 2) Is the fixed ending. I didn't like that no matter how you played the game, whether you relied more on Ghost tactics or Samurai tactics the game automatically assumed you used Ghost. For me it really broke immersion having an Ally chide you for using Ghost on a mission when you didn't. I get that it's pushing the narrative but I would've like to seen choice fact in.
I still love the game and props to Sucker Punch for releasing a free Multiplayer mode in the base game. I just hope they GT2 and add more choice based gameplay.
