@@shamsahmad8700 That's actually what they do with the mocapped moves. The performance actors make the movements at slower pace, then the developers will tweak the speed of the movements for the final game
For the piercing strikes, keeping the blade sideways does indeed prevent the blade from being trapped by the body. I learned this my first year studying under sensei Jeff Marsten. Particularly when stabbing to the abdomen and the abdominal wall, with any blade, in fact, the abdominal muscles contract and flex, and will clench down on the blade, making it hard to withdraw if you have stabbed with the blade positioned up and down, but piercing sideways prevents this as the flexing of muscle causes the blade to cut further preventing your blade from being trapped by your opponent's body.
It can also be a factor with the ribcage. The width of the blade, front to back, is bigger than the gap between ribs. Having the blade sideways decreases the likelihood it deflect off a rib, or if it does, it will be more likely to deflect up or down into a gap rather than to the outside.
That head-down and shaking while running during the running slash is what football players call 'keeping your head on a swivel' Jin is looking behind him on each side for pursuers, much like a player running with the football would whole trying to avoid tacklers
I think Jin is using his kinetic vision a lot, which is why he often faces his head oddly or faces to the side. It's basically keeping your eyes relatively unfocused and centered, and using the corners of your eyes/vision to watch for movement. It's like keeping your vision wide instead of focusing down on specific parts and narrowing your vision (tunnel vision). The only reason I think this is because I use my kinetic vision a lot too, mainly because my eye muscles are weak and is essentially stuck forward (I can't look to the corner of my eyes). If I wanna look to the sides or behind me I have to swing my head that way. I use my kinetic vision a lot while walking and when looking behind me.
I know I'm replying to a dead thread but that's exactly what I do when driving, makes me so much more aware of my surrounding while not being focused on one spot
It's used a lot when hunting or in the military. One exercise people use to develop it is to hold their hands all the way out to the side, then slowly bring them together and stop when they can just barely be seen in the peripheral vision. When someone has practiced this at random several times a day every day for a while, the next step is to randomly stop periodically and without moving the eyes, move your head left and right as slowly as possible. tl;dr it's a useful skill that people spend a lot of time training. I naturally do it anyway because I not only have terrible eyesight, I also have Asperger's which makes me very uncomfortable when I look directly at people.
@@asahearts1 Ah, yes. For some reason, I too am uncomfortable looking directly at people, so I usually end up just facing their way and looking at something else. This is probably why I'm very bad at remembering faces (coz I barely look at them lol)

The fact he managed to kill a creature that is immune to all of mankind's weaponry. Written in the lore. That is pretty scary.

That head-down and shaking while running during the running slash is what football players call 'keeping your head on a swivel'
Jin is looking behind him on each side for pursuers, much like a player running with the football would whole trying to avoid tacklers
That gives nausea
It was a military saying. Football referenced it later, but yes it does mean to watch your surroundings
The best part of this videos is looking at people actually enjoying creating content. These two are definitely having a blast with these moves.
@@ferofax In the case of people on the spectrum it's also that we have less working memory and our brains don't really pick up on faces as something important to remember to begin with.

The Heavenly Strike footage was sped up for the purpose of the side-by-side comparison. I don't think that much speed from a standstill is humanly possible. The Dance of Wrath looks like it could be real time, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was sped up a little.

him: cutting armpit is very effective because there are alot of nerves running there and its really hard to stop the bleeding
me: 😱😱😱
Also it is usually less armored, if at all. You’ll find kill strikes at them in most sword manuals
Usually those places have 0 armor cause that's where the joints are located and it severely restricts movement otherwise. So as that meme goes "it's free real estate" for a swordsman to aim for
I know right... I'm getting nervous just thinking of me getting sliced in the armpit. It has to hurt a lot since there are multiple nerves in thar area and it's a surefire way of incapacitating that arm.
Joints are the bullseye for swordsmen, the unarmored, sensitive spot that renders even a little muscle movement critical to the enemy if their joint is wounded.
Right..? Just hearing that makes me cringe. Eugh.
