I’ve been a lifelong mega fan of Cryptopsy and could go on for hours talking about them and each of the albums. Here is my list, which will probably be unpopular:
    1. Whisper Supremacy. Listen. I know why NSV gets the love it gets - I love it with all my heart too. But I have no idea in fuck why Whisper doesn’t get at least near the same level of recognition, because it simply is the most extreme, masterful piece of music ever recorded. If you don’t agree, you need to sit and listen to it again.
    2. NSV. No comment needed.
    3. Blasphemy. Like NSV, not much commentary needed. It was the album that set the tone for what was to come. Timeless and unforgettable riffs, vocals that set a new standard, heavy as fuck with a creepy vibe. Masterpiece.
    4. Once Was Not. This one sounds a bit weird, I know. But man, THE RIFFS. Levasseur left the band right before the recording of the album, so Alex Auburn was the sole guitarist on this one. Shit on him all you want for spearheading the ideas on Unspoken King, but this guy was an absolute BEAST on Once Was Not. I also feel that although the mix was weird on this album, the drums definitely benefitted from it cause they sound MASSIVE. It shone a bright light on Flo’s undeniable skill - total masterclass.
    5. Cryptopsy. After the clusterfuck that was Unspoken King, I pretty much ceased to even acknowledge that the band existed until they popped up on my newsfeed in summer 2012 - an interview with Jon Levasseur. Wait…WHAT!? He’s BACK?? I listened to the album teaser they released and immediately preordered. Man, by the time the 2nd song came on I almost started crying. Even I had no idea how much I needed that album back then. After loving Cryptopsy for so long, and shutting them out after what felt like treason - their entire catalogue just didn’t feel the same, and consequently, I just didn’t have the same love for music anymore. If Unspoken King was like a nasty injury, this album was the miracle medecine that made me fall in love with music again. The riffs were SOLID, with serious “grind your face off” tones. I was pleasantly surprised with Matt’s vocal performance, and I continue to support his presence in Cryptopsy today.
    6. And Then You’ll Beg. I hate that this one has to fall to 6th because musically and technically speaking, I think this may be Cryptopsy’s best album. This was a very well thought out album, riffs were all mindblowing, technicality and musicality all turned to 11. The lineup on this album was *arguably* the best ever, and anyone who’s seen them perform back in the day will agree to that. They were untouchable in that era. I can see why some people didn’t like the vocal performance from DiSalvo on this album - personally I enjoy it - but he admitted to being really sick when he had to record the vocal tracks and that he wasn’t happy with his performance either. Ranking this one before-last sucks because I listened to it countless times and still do to this day - it fuckin rules.
    7. Unspoken Shit. This one wouldn’t have hurt so bad if they had just called it a side project (and hadn’t been such assholes to disappointed fans). But whatever, it’s in the past and they’re cruising now. I love the current lineup - Oli is the most brutal bass player in Canada and is showing it in Cattle Decapitation. Chris Donaldson is one of the most criminally underrated guitar players in metal today. Looking forward to hearing what they have next for us!

For me, blasphemy made flesh and none so vile are two of the best albums in brutal death metal.
Those two albums really stand out in their discography.
There's a huge gap between these two and all of their following albums.
I'm glad I got those to albums.
I would sacrifice all of their other albums just for those two.

Blasfemy made flesh surely is like non so vile but , it is not on the same level because of the production and the vocals, i think the vocals are flawless but very messy to catch up with the lyrics, a little bit exagerated , non so vile vocals you can actually match the lyrics with vocalizing when you know them and the production couldnt be better, i dont think its cliche putting always that album on the top, its just what it its , a masterpiece and unbeatable

Honestly, I thought “Blasphemy Made Flesh” and “None So Vile” are the only good albums they put out besides Once Was Not. Anything with Lord Worm. That’s it. His vocals are so ridiculous it’s borderline ... cartoonishly scary. Their deathcore is just blasphemy. They should just change the name at this point IMO.
