I enjoy that Ben has the full belly laugh of someone who sounds like they're genuinely having fun and that gives me life.
It's amazing to see just how interconnected all the different MTG shows and players are. The sentence "Josh Lee Kwai has a photo of me playing Jacob's deck in my first commander game" coming from a multi Gran Prix winner is unreal.
The intro will forever be the best intro. Welcoming the audience into to your home and showing the fun and love of magic. It is the best
As someone who is brand new to magic, I love how they keep a conversational tone while still explaining a little bit what the cards do. Also putting them up on screen is such a big help!

Honestly same guess that's what happens when you play decks like jodah the unifier, Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice and Saheeli, the Gifted.
THIS is what Magic should be. Nice and relaxing. Mates just getting together and playing some cool cards and not overly caring about things like the prismatic vista not having a back.
The vibe is so wholesome and fun, this pod is goals for all I've ever wanted in a playgroup.

7 minutes in and this might be my favorite magic series on RUclips. This is the kind of atmosphere I want in a commander game
Finally there are some people who get the atmosphere right, no acting or weird edits, just some friends sitting at home together enjoying the game. The conversation throughout the game was hilarious.
I knew Kibler and Olivia would be an amazing host tag-team but the casual vibe that this channel starts with in the intro is amazing, and loved all the cameos of various chill and amazing magic personalities in your intro. Also good doggo bringing good boy energy made me smile. Please keep this vibe going we need more channels with good vibes like this to brighten up people.
Brode unintentionally feeding Kibler was hilarious it's been a joke with my friends that green players only need two or three extra card draws to go off and murder you at the table and Brode giving Kibler a fresh full grip was like, oh boy the fish has been fed!

Honestly this might be my favorite commander show that exists... It's a really chill environment and it almost identically represents what an actual table at your local game store or at your home looks like and feels like.

I don't know about you, but I did not find it clear what was happening on the turn Kibler popped off and the camera and sound focused on the players and not the board.
This is what commander is all about! Jokes, laughs, name-calling, the whole 9 yards! It was perfect, perfect, down to the last minute detail!

How Olivia feels about the card counting is how I feel as well. Winning is great but fun is more important imo, I also feel it leads to better games and more knowledge intake.

What i like most is how casual the game is, most other channels feels too serious, this is so chilled with people revealing their hands, using proxies and just having a laugh in general. Reminds me of how my playgroup is, hope to see more

Easily among the best gameplay video on RUclips. BMK and Olivia bring so much to the table as cohosts. The group of players in the intro alone is enough for seasons and seasons of excellent content. The clean and simple editing with the charming background music builds a beautiful background for banter like Kibler bragging about having a 62/62 or Olivia cursing the name of Ben Brodes. If the series continues at this quality, we’re looking at the birth of a smash hit!

That was so much fun! It really felt like getting together with my friends for Commander night. Everyone was so energetic and fun and just happy to be there! Also, Jacob Bertrand really felt like your friend who sits next to you and shows you his hand, makes funny quips, etc. He's really good at interacting with the camera!

This might honestly be my favorite in-person EDH show so far. Different from stuff like Game Knights, this doesn't feel like it's scripted from start to finish and actually has believable and relatable banter and chatting.

@@urfavoritejoel Even if not, the presentation with the mid-game interview thing makes it look like those shitty reality TV shows everyone knows, on top of the super artificially nice way everyone talks and acts with eachother that just makes the whole show feel so entirely unnatural and fake to me.
@@Zakading I can certainly agree with that. Always hated the talking head portions (to be fair though those are recorded after the game)
@@Zakading I agree that it makes it feel less authentic, but those talking parts are useful for new players who are trying to follow why people are doing what they're doing and for that reason I think it's a pretty good inclusion, if you're a pretty good player, it can be forgotten how much info that's actually quite useful for a new player to digest in those like talking head moments.
Hearing that classic Brode laugh brings me so much nostalgia. This is such a cool cast for the first show. Very excited to see where this series goes.

There's something charming about this versus the other commander shows out there. This actually feels like sitting down for a game night with friends. It doesn't have the artificial feel of the other more casual commander channels. It's not trying to engineer entertainment or try to be reality TV. This is just good, clean fun. It's the first casual commander content I've watched in years. These days I normally just stick to the highly gameplay-oriented cEDH channels because the non-cEDH channels just feel like they're trying too hard.
Also, Olivia stole the show.
