"Should sylvan primordial stay banned?" On etb it can blow up 3 lands, gets you 3 lands. Just flickering it or having a panharmonicon in play can put you 6 lands ahead and your opponents 2 lands each behind
To be fair, those are likely to be just normal pleb lands, no game win lands. If spending a lot of mana to get a lot of mana was a mortal sin, Boundless Realms would be banned, but it's pretty far from it.

Richard playing the same deck he plays every other week looks a little "bringing a knife to a gun fight". Dowsing dagger a little less scary when you're staring down Fastbond and Sylvan primordial 😅... even funnier watching him cast a cartographer's hawk off an underground sea
I kinda liked that ithighlights how broken green is with all the ramp to catapult it ahead, especially with the crazy fastbond and channel starts in each of the games

Fastbond's damage trigger happens any time a land is played and isn't the first. Even though Phil has multiple additional land effects, fastbond sees all extra land drops, and should have taken more damage. That's what makes fastbond "fair" hahaha
I think keeping the fast mana house ban but allowing the EDH official ban list gives a look at how fair some of the ban list cards are compared to things that are legal in the format.
It could be interesting to see a game with random restrictions that you don't normally see. Like all your cards have to be under $1, or you can't use any non-basic cards that contain the letter E in their name.
In the first game, Emrakul was put straight onto the battlefield from Seth's hand using Smuggler's share. Emrakul's extra turn happens when you cast her, and putting a permanent onto the battlefield isn't casting it, so Seth "merely" did it for the 15/15 flying Annihilator 6 with protection from colored spells
Sylvan primordial def does not need to be banned. There are tons of spells that ramp way more than 3 mana for less than 7 mana. Harvest season and traverse the Outlands comes to mind.
It does need to be banned. If it was a cast ability I would actually agree with you but unfortunately it isn't. So any deck that can blink it or cheat it into play can absolutely abuse that trigger. Plus you can hit lands with it so you can destroy your opponents lands AND ramp yourself. I have the card and have played it and I promise you it deserves to be banned.
