Olivia's "I'm not the threat and since you targeted one thing on my board I'm going to be unbearably toxic for the rest of the game" schtick is getting old. It's been kind of annoying in the past but this game it was so annoying

Ben and Brian have two of the most genuine, hearty laughs I've ever heard and I can't help but find myself chortling along with them every time. It's such an uplifting, wholesome feeling.
Ben Brode has got to be my favorite guest playing on the channel (I still love Ashlyn on Game Knights with her Eldrazi). The energy Ben has is like being a chaoitc duo with Brian and their witty humor. 45:18 Ben: "I believe I have kept him in check" Brian: "YOU'RE ALIVE ONLY DUE TO MY MERCY! OKAY!"
I recognize a pattern: Brian just having a good time playing cool decks, Olivia hating him for that, and two mediators that help keeping things from escalating by their mere presence ;)

The genuine playgroup environment of this show, along with a very modest amount of graphical editing has made the only casual commander gameplay series I enjoy watching. Your guests are phenomenal, the decks are fun, the banter is organic, and the whole show is just friends farting around playing games. Don't ever stop making these, please.

As a fellow Ur Dragon player, I looooooved how gross was Brian's turn 1. This episodes feel like 20min episode, they are so fun and refreshing time goes by without noticing it! Lovely guys ❤☺. I wish i coul play there one day, sadly Spain is quite far away. The most I can hope is to see and take a pic with olivia & brian(if he comes) to Barcelona's Magic Con at the end of July!

I like that Brian plays commander similar to me. He essentially helps everyone beat him when he's ahead. Telling people what to kill on his board and reminding everyone of their triggers lol
Olivia is the type of player that says she's "not doing anything" the entire game and then turns around and wins with the engine she's built while she WASN'T "doing anything".
It's called strategy, if you say the right things the right way people react the way you want them too, since commander is a 4 player format people are more susceptible to manipulation.

It always rubs me the wrong way, - she kind of brutally abuses social contract to gaslight/complain her way closer to victory. It's not exactly sportsmanlike

But misrepresenting your own boardstate, loudly exclaiming "i'm not a threat!" when everyone has correctly assessed that you are a threat, and then giving even more outrage when removal is rightly pointed at you isn't politics, it's just being a pain in the ass. She's not getting results out of being cunning or sneaky or diverting attention, instead her opponents give her more slack because people naturally want to avoid that kind of tension/outrage in a friendly game.
I love this show. They have a great interaction with their guests. It makes me feel like a real game of commander where I play. People enjoying game while enjoying the people.
This was good fun, I'm working on an ur dragon deck myself. I just found a new commander group at my local game store after like 6 years away from the game, lots of fun, meeting new people dying to new decks and trying to improve and dust off the old ones. It just feels good to be back in magic

Everyone there brought such powerful decks with great attitudes 😄.Was so hyped when Olivia started the game off with 2 mana vaults on the field. thought it couldn't get much better than that with how bomber of a turn 1 that is, but then Brian just goes "Aww how cute, hold my beer" then proceeds to have 8 mana by the end of turn 1!
My favourite part about 7:43 where Olivia jokes about people complaining when players use spindowns for random rolls is that spindowns are actually *more* random than a standard d20 when rolling odds or evens. The main issue with a spindown is that all of the high numbers are on one side of the die, meaning that it is a lot easier to guarantee that you'll roll high. However, when rolling odds or evens, the higher numbers being gathered only means that the odd and even numbers are nicely spread out across the die. On the other hand, the standard d20 puts all the even numbers on one side and the odd numbers on the other--it's a lot easier to guarantee odd or even. So basically, when rolling odds or evens, someone can use the exact same skill that makes spindowns 'not a real random dice' to rig a standard d20, but they can't use it to rig a spindown.

I love that players are not afraid to ask about card rulings. I feel like this is how people play Magic in real life, it doesn't feel scripted like on other channels.

Ben's laugh is the most boisterous and contagious laugh. If we worked in an office I'd be purposely making him laugh as often as possible and no one would appreciate it but me.
