For the cost of just the ebike battery, you can get a low to mid-level mountain bike and a 2 stroke gas conversion kit. It will go faster and will be less appealing to thieves.
Fun hobby. I've built two myself, a California Motorbikes PK80 on a Walmart Granite Peak (needed a jog pipe intake to fit), and an old 80s Peugeot with a little Pexmor 49cc. Good luck to you with your project and future ones.
If you want this all to work good with a normal kit you gotta make sure you have the right bike or you're gonna have to make some custotom adjustments. Bike needs to be exactly like this guy has. The problem is in the US at least these are "outdated" a bit, most frames are much thicker now so it's not too easy finding one or a decent quality one. Street bicycles still have a frame that will fit b but they have thin tires which isn't ideal unless you wanna spend another $100 to get new tires. This happened to me where I had to get the exhaust custom bended and mounted to my bike.

@@blendedculturecreations5202 i only know 2 types of good engines and 3 more idk never tested or heard but ppl often chooses either minarelli engine or avenger85 those 2 engines can be powerfull and fast but minarelli might be the best when it comes to upgrading it and getting huge top speeds
@@blendedculturecreations5202 u can try the minarelli engine but ppl say u need to take huge care of the engine well its kind of racing engine so it needs a lot of maintence but if u wanna have a decent good engine go for avenger85 i only did 1 mod rn new bigger carb and it is fast and gets to 40mph
