Honestly, if Meta did a limited run of crystal colored (aka colored transparent plastic) Quest headsets, i would be so down for that. It would be an instant throwback to the Nintendo 64 era. So many companies got lazy with the typical Black or White plastic... where'd all the fun go?
You can buy it I don’t know exactly where but that does the same guy make making the mods. Four clear entire Meta Quest headsets and controllers you can just buy them the mods if you want to :-)
Cant wait to play Alien. The biggest pain points for me with VR have always been lack of graphically impressive titles and lack of good, horror titles. I got the Quest 2 specifically because I wanted to experience true fear (I get scared really easy with video games lol).

And an USB connection is cheaper than a Display Port one. And as ideally, we would like two 6.5Mp screens The battery would last less long in a autonomous mode and in WIFI PCVR, but in wired PCVR, no worries, a USB3.2 is enough to provide enough juice
I think ByteDance really has to get back into VR and fund Pico. If they're intent on not selling TikTok and it gets banned in the US that's a lot of cash flow just gone. They need to diversify into VR in the Chinese market before a different company beats them to the punch. Basically what Meta is doing now. So I think the future is bright for future Pico devices

You can play alien Isolation in VR i installed the mod yesterday but am yet to try it. Maybe now is a good time. And I hope they ROG VR headset works with the ROG ally that would be awesome. the quest 3 can in some capacity But imagine if it was designed around the ROG ally or something.I haven't tried my Quest 3 on my ROG ally as I have a decent PC so why would I.

I am SOOO hoping that the Pico rumors are true, because I have to say, I really love my Pico 4. Mind, I like my Quest 3 quite a lot--but like the Quest 2, there are aspects of it that seriously get on my nerves--not least of which is the fact that I have to download and install an app on my damned computer to change the refresh rate! Also, once I worked my issues with the facial interface, the Pico 4 is much more comfortable for me to wear for long periods of time, whereas the Quest 3 literally makes my face feel like someone is punching me around the eyes after about an hour. So, I'm hoping hard that there will be a Pico 4S/5--and that they'll have the grace to include a displayport on the headset for those of us who still enjoy PCVR. But even if it doesn't include DP, if the design remains similar to that of the Pico 4, I'll be there for it.

"lot of use cases for every day life" Im in Vr for few years now since quest 1 and to be honest, im very disappointed. Yesterday I tried desperately to mod Skyrim Vr once again, because this is true virtual reality for me. You know another world filled with life, where You can go for some time, take a rest, listening to birds. Seriously, I dont need any super duper glasses, spying my flat every day. I don't even need Augmented reality. I dont need another smartphone which i put on my nose. They promised us a VIRTUAL worlds, but they trying to sell another mass control hardware. This is a sad true. There is no one single game even close to Skyrim in term of immersion.
I'm glad that Pico is still working on devices. Not that I want to replace my Pico4 for another one. It works fine enough for me. Besides that I have the Quest3 as well and I use both devices. Yesterday after a sweaty fitness hour with the Quest, I sat down to watch a movie with my Pico4.... in pass through mode, so I could see my cat jumping on me without getting a scare...
Had the pico 4, but was waiting since the launch of the Quest 3 for a pico 5 and all I heard is that it was cancelled, got to try my friends Quest 3 and the Mixed reality and the fact you can Interact with the UI with the hands and the ton of games inside the headset made me change, and 2 months ago I switched to the Quest 3 do not regret it. Still play PCVR cause its the best but I can now have full Upper body tracking and bottom estimate
