The changes within the band this time is very significant that I no longer have no slightest idea of who are in the band now other than Robert, Lee, and James. The original is of course the best but the formation with Tris, Jason, Keith, and Bill are very endearing to me and a lot of younger Chicago fans who came to know them in the 80's and 90's, and from what I've heard they played the Chicago songs superbly with great musicianship. THat formation I also think the longest Chicago formation, from the time Keith replaced Dawayne Bailey until Bill Champlin was replaced with Lou (1995-2009). That formation also produced the biggest number of full concerts available on RUclips, so their visuals are really strong in our memories.

I think the band is great these days. Life happens and if the original members want to contract younger members to keep going., more power to them.
By the way , it seems like the people complaining about the band are using a copy and paste comment on all of the Chicago videos out there. Like they say it’s not 1967 anymore. I appreciate that the remaining members carefully choose their new young talent in order to keep the Chicago experience alive. Good work on the video too. 👍

I totally agree. People expect them to sound like their first album just came out. It doesn't work that way. They still sound great and it gives new generations a chance to experience Chicago Live.

I saw the band about two weeks before this video. Yeah, it's not the same as the original group, but as you said they are doing great. Brings back a lot of memories.

I don't mean to criticize, and I completely understand the band wanting to stay together. Maybe it's because I saw Terry Kath 8 times, I feel very fortunate and blessed. To me, this isn't Chicago anymore but just a watered down version of the original band.

Everyone has their opinion and I respect that you don’t care for this version of the band. If you saw them perform live, the band is giving 110 percent of their talent. I realize this isn’t the original lineup but let’s just enjoy the music. I love Chicago!! It’s not 1967, though they are still going stronger every day.

@@michaelackerman3823 Thanks for your honesty and integrity in commenting. Actually, listening to them now, they sound a lot better than the Bill Champlin days.

A shadow of what they once were...Unfortunately...Once "Chucky" retired Chicago lost his legendary voice and are just another average band...Cetera really made their songs come alive...at least for me and just imho...
