Ya know sometimes ignorance is bliss... But sadly this doesn't work on me and I flipped every drawing I did in the past and sht I don't want to go through the pain of doing it anymore

About the canvas flip, this was a mind breaker for me... I made so many drawings where I was really proud until I learned about the c..c-c-c-anvas FLIP!!
Nowadays, when I make a drawing, I regularly go to the mirror to check if it's okay even when flipped and I do this especially for the eyes too! It helps a lot (to do this in the early stages, you'll just cry if you do this at the end haha)
Edit: You're my favorite drawing channel on RUclips, I wouldn't know what I would do without the advice of Ikea Sir.
Ikr i always get a chuckle when people bring up the fear of flipping the canvas. It's become my go to habit, i prolly flip thousands of times in a single drawing session, and honestly it's become like a crutch for me, I'm that dependent on it, so much so that i sometimes flip my pages around and hold them to the light when drawing traditionally
I did this and found out that I looked ugly ☹
Yes! I learned about the mirror trick like 2 weeks ago and since then ive been using that trick on my drawing
Nothing says "your art sucks" like the Canvas flip
I actually flip the canvas so much that its no longer useful as a tool for checking for mistakes. I need to force myself to stop doing it so I can retain its benefits.

Canvas flipping is second nature by now! It's EXTREMELY HELPFUL! What I found helpful as well, especially when it comes to drawing eyes! Is flipping the canvas upside-down. See it for yourself, for me the difference in perspective instantly reveals if the eyes are looking right or if they are off.
Thank you Marcel for your hard work! Your editing, how the red lines materialise for example, always leaves me in awe. It's such a quality detail. Though I only draw digitally and don't have to stress about leaving eraser markings on the paper, your tips and advice are tremendous help!

as digital artsit, flipping canvas is really game changer. I always do it even on sketching process. really help a lot not only for the eye but for the entire artpiece itself

Hi Marcel, i found your channel like a week ago when i was looking for a tutorial on how to draw faces (seen that video where you were asking how and when we found you for the giveaway so I thought it would have been great to share) and now I've seen almost all of your vids. I started a month ago being intrested in alcholic markers so i bought a set and then i started drawing my sketches (i'm still pretty bad though). I've seen you have a lot of markers and also a deutsch channel, hope you'll be translating some videos from there (they sound cool but I can understand nothing at all) and also make some markers tutorials even if the coloring videos aren't getting that much views (I think a lot of people gets interested in drawing because of markers). I'm trying to learn how to draw like a sir, byee!
