dude, i have been drawing my entire life in all styles and subjects from tattoos, architecture and comics/anime and still use videos just like your for reference and review when i find myself stuck on a piece or maybe i just need a good warm up exercise. Thank you for this video and all your others too! I draw realism mostly and I am still working on it. That said, when I started my drawings were terrible and learning basic proportions etc. was very, very helpful. Regarding drawing realism vs. a cartoon, I actually find that I learn as much from a cartoon tutorial because a cartoon (a good cartoon) communicates the important information while neglecting the less important details. Sketching cartoons is great practice for me. Sometimes I think the key to progression is to practice and enjoy the journey.
