Many people don't know this , but Marcel actually saved my life. One day, I was watching Draw Like A sir tutorials and a thief broke in and held my family at gunpoint. I secretly took out my phone and clicked on a tutorial and the thief immediately dropped his gun and took a paper and started drawing. I took this time to call 911 and they showed up and they started watching the tutorial together like good friends. When the video ended, The cops arrested the thief. Marcel, I am forever in debt to you for saving my life. I don't know how to express my gratitude for you.

And the best part is that they’re really funny, too, so I can actually pay attention! Your channel is extremely underrated, you deserve hundreds of millions of subscribers. I just wanna say thank you so, so much, Marcel. You really are awesome.

Im sure i would have gave up if i tried to learn from any other artists on youtube than you. I thank you with my entire soul for keeping my passion for art!
You can draw like this guy, you just need practice and learn how that thing works. (E.g 3d planes 'n stuff and breaking complex shapes into super simple shapes.) Look at me, im a shit drawer with no experience with drawing and after 15 days or so of learning how to draw, i can now draw better than the video's level -1 and level 1. Aslong as you have passion and motivation for it, you can.

I just drew the best hand I have ever drawn in my life at almost 4 in the morning! Holy cow, I was not expecting to improve that quickly. I think it helps that I've been working on being okay with not being perfect. Thank you, Marcel! Also, I just bought your book and am looking forward to its arrival tomorrow. Marcel, I am so grateful for your videos They've taught me so much about drawing and I hope you get some support for your videos, keep up the good work❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This was super helpful, thank you! I think one of the hardest parts is getting good proportions (something that I find resonates within every aspect of art), so starting with blocking, then basic shapes, then exaggerations helps to make for a more organic hand. I still very much need to spend time practicing since there's of course a lot to learn, foreshortening being a particularly looming topic, but already I can tell the difference.
These tutorials keep getting better n better I love to see it. And I well gladly say these videos still help me to this day, silhouett-ing especially was a game changer
Huh after 4 years of pixel art I just do all 3 levels because it looks nice to me even if the hands are very N64/PS1 in 10px10p in scope. Which great turtorial and it really made me reflect on my art!
Anytime I doodle with out thinking I always default to hands, feet and faces. Even so I feel like I'm still kind of meh about my hands. maybe my brains is obsessed because it's harder for it to comprehend
BIG LIKE depuis ka Suisse. 👍
You didn't have to call me out like that in the beginning with the -1 level except, I left them as boxes most of the time in my drawings. On a serious note, your videos are a blessing Marcel thank you for these tips. I cannot wait for your book to come out and buy it instantly.
