I was taught to find shapes in everything, from faces to trees to buildings, etc from an artist -it helps a lot when translating your vision into artwork
I would think that the reason why most "tips" tell you that you have been doing "art" wrong would be because before the internet where any picture is considered "art", most people had to formally study the particular art form they wanted to be considered an artist in. Even know some people still go and formerly study art and I suppose it must be annoying to see some of the things people call art, that are really just pictures. I mean this is if you consider visual arts like painting, there were various artistic movements that contained similar styles, in terms of themes, colours, style, motifs, brush strokes, medium, etc so critics could study this to see which master the person studied under and so on. I only studied art up to what Americans call High School, so I can't explain well. We can look at someone like Henri Rousseau who was self-taught like most so called artists online. He too was laughed at and mocked for his "childish" work by the educated artists and critics of his time but obviously he is not seen like that now.
Oh my God this helps me so much. My dream is to become an artist but everyone used to say that my sketches and drawings and paintings were not nice and I had this classmate he said that they look like trash so I gave up on my dreams and then a few months ago I said you know what I shouldn’t care about what people say or I shouldn’t care about what people think so I’m gonna keep going and then I realized that I was actually really good at art that time since I took a really big break I wasn’t that good anymore but I didn’t let that get to me I kept doing what I love and now I’m better and I’m only better because of you and your videos.❤❤❤❤ Thank you so much for this love you.
Ugh I hate this kind of people!! They are just jealous that you have something you love doing. Keep doing what you love ❤️ I started drawing seriously only at 22 years old, and then I managed to become a professional artist at 27. You can do it!! 👏👏
The more you do it, the better you get. For all you know, your classmate could've been jealous of your ability. If YOU doubt yourself, don't expect anyone else to believe in you. Not saying that no one will believe in you, but that isn't the point. Keep going.... 👍
THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! For a while I've been wanting to practice/study on how to take real people and draw them in a more animated style, while also making sure that it still held their featured that stood out and made them look like themselves!!
THANK GOD I've been struggling a lot trying do a cartooinsh style, semi realistic comes more natural for me and literally I was just crying because drawing something "simple" will take DAYS, this was actually so useful thank you so much!!!
Hey I wish you the best dude! Hopefully this method helps and gets you drawing quicker. Try getting super inspired and watching more videos like this one, it might help a bit more! And I hope you have a good day :D
I read on the internet once that anime/manga artists have to be really skilled at realism because it's only when you fundamentally know how a person's supposed to look that you can abstract it and make a cartoon feel like a living character
@@p3ter9000 yeah! that’s actually it, that’s why rn i try to focus more in figures and objects rather than details like i used to, to comprehend more and better structure, like have a better understandment of the object itself, i’m training my eye and brain to perceive important and charactering details so when i try and simplify the object/person i can still resemble those important traits and not loose any essence!, going back to the basics really really works :))
First you should study the style of the show, copy it a few times and understand what makes it unique and recognizable.
