Just traded my 2020 Silverado Trail Boss LT for a 2021 Ram 1500 Built To Serve Edition. Every bell and whistle. Blows the Silverado out of the water. Fit,finish and features.
can you say in what way? i'm in the market for a new pick up truck but I've known 3 different coleagues with rams and they are always in the shop.. it seems to be a common thing that rams are lemons.
Toyota Tundra might not have the most bells and whistles like the Ford or Ram but resale and reliability are the best. The 5.7 is thirsty but will do everything you need it to with ease. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Very informative video!
The Tundra is broke. It’s butt ugly, much like it’s much smaller bug eyed Tacoma, and it wastes a lot of fuel. So, the long term reliability or there perceived of...is a mute point as you’ll still loose money over the life of the Turdra.
Giving a full-size pickup a bad rating for poor gas mileage is stupid. No one (that has any sense) goes shopping for a full-size truck and says “this better get at least 25mpg or I’m not buying!” I’ll take 10mpg as long as it’s a V8 and not some bs active fuel management that switches to a 4 cylinder.
Riigght? Sure your friend just drove around town in his Ram Hemi w/o hot rodding it or going over it’s payload and towing capacity. Lol. My cousin owns a construction company that uses two Ram Hemi fleet trucks; one with the 4.7L V8 and the other w/ the 5.7L V8. Both trucks are well maintained and are used on a daily basis. The smaller V8 has over 230k trouble free miles on it. The bigger V8 has just over 180k with zero powertrain issues except for the washer fluid pump partially working.
I have a wife, a 17 year old kid and a 90lbs dog. I am looking to get a pickup truck sometime next year 2020. I have watched your videos to try to see which would fit our needs best. The trouble is most all reviews focus on towing. My situation is a little different. My primary purpose is to haul the family and commute to work daily ( about 60/40 city/freeway) nothing extreme, and only about 50 miles a day round trip). The truck aspect is for the occasional trash haul, or helping someone move, or getting plywood at Home Depot for some project. With all that being said, I want the most comfortable room, best fuel economy, reliability, safety and price. What is your recommendation? Thank you
The Tundra hasn’t been re-designed but it has had significant improvements/upgrades every year. You can’t beat it for reliability and resale value. I love my 2020 Tundra Limited, wouldn’t own anything else!
JFC read the fine print. People in Europe switch fuel types to get worse mpg to save money. Look it up. Ram, Ford GM and I believe the new titan use premium fuels for hp, torque and mpg rating. The Tundra is cheaper to drive than the GMC with the 420HP motor using premium. Do the math. For anything cheaper to drive the Tundra will still be the cheapest to own by the time you sell it. Resale is higher and statistically repairs are less saving you time and headaches.
Interesting. Only have owned 2 pickups. A sierra and a Silverado. But many others friends have. I think you have the ratings for options right but you have to have QUALITY AND RELIABILITY upside down! The Ram would be the very last on my list!!!
About around 1500 because of all the options I got it's a 2019 1,087 mi on it it's already in shop for the second time for the same problem will not start when you are ready to go I don't see how ram come in number whatever it was what is it 10

I seriously doubt " outperform " b/c it doesnt offer front lockers, & its power isnt top of th line by current standards. Unless theres a type of performing idk about. Reliability most likely will b great though
I love my 2019 4x4 OR Tacoma. But I need to seek a full size truck. I pull a 23ft boat and the taco don’t have the balls for it. Going to be sad to let it go.
Just don’t buy any but the Tundra! Tundra will have a V6 in ‘23. Take it from a chrysler and Gm owner! Lease a ford or GM if you can. My Silverado 4x4 double im getting for $275 a month with 12k a year. No money down! I need more miles so will be buying a Ridgeline or Tundra or Tacoma. The Tundra is the MOST AMERICAN made truck in the world so don’t be fooled! Good luck!
Ryan, that's because the prices he is quoting are base sticker prices and not the final MSRP. The only one he was close to was the top price for the Toyota. I own a 2019 Toyota Tundra Platinum which stickered for $53K MSRP.
I think design preference are just that unless it interferes with function. It's not a fashion show. 😉 Gas mileage..it's a full size truck. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 What I want to know how they perform and are there problems to look out for. All the vehicles you'd ever want to buy a truck is about what it does it's not about A to b it's a workhorse even if your butt is sitting on leather it's still a workhorse.
Wow. Trucks are for practical purposes. That's main purpose of them. So the Titan and tundra stand out to me. Flashy expensive show trucks are for people who are just using them for display. The pricing is a little shifty on the big three based on the configuration. I don't believe the f150 could tow 13000 lbs on a regular basis safely. That's just my opinion. I am in the market for a full-size truck. A used f150 would be a much better deal than a new one. A used ram would be a much better deal than a new one.
They are more and more being bought as family vehicles; pretty much a full sized SUV with a pickup bed. Not sure how so many people can afford $60-80k vehicles, though. Easy credit, perhaps.
@@cnoyes72 that's part of it. The easy credit. But the year end sales do help. I got two dealerships trying to sale me a Titan. But they are just so useful and practical. So it's hard not to have a truck. Or you have to depend on delivery or ask someone with a truck.

@@lobsidedballs I hear the Rams have poor reliability. Also hear they have the best interior.
Yea they constantly have issues have fun being at the mechanic every month 😂 shoulda got a tundra
I just bought the 2020 Ram sport, nicest truck I've ever been in
Have you ever sat in a loaded Titan Pro-4X with it’s 'zero gravity’ seats?

agree!! i just had one and used to be a GM guy
Solid quick comparison of the major models on the market right now. Thanks.
Zero talk of reliability, since when did that take a back seat to fuel economy?
toyota tundra!!! more reliable than any!! and i am a GM guy!

Soon enough lot hybrid and electric trucks will be sold gasoline smells and it won’t be able to power your Home.
Used to be a Ford guy but switched to the Ram and OMG I’m glad I did.
The rams 5.7 has problems tho I guess all the new trucks have them lmao
Ram Hemi Engines will never last. Friend of mine had to rebuild his 2009 with 70K on it. Knocked around just doing local driving.

did you figure out what truck to get?

I want a damn tundra so bad... its so damn expensive. It'd be like a $500/month payment for me

What do you recommend??? I want a new crew cab short box truck but don’t know what to buy smh

Interesting , I was thinking the same
In the world of 100 various trim packages, why not bring a back a good single cab and an 8' bed, with a trim package nicer then a w/t?

The fact that the tundra is on the bottom of the list is a joke, it’s the most reliable well running truck in this list 😂
20 Tundra..... my dream truck. Tundra will also outlast and out perform everything else on this list.
Your right about that

No it's not fool.
@@coperpot100 No.
@@bkkersey93 YES
i feel that the 5.0 f150 is the best truck to get right now
Love the Sierra 1500s man. They’re just so nice
I’m surprised you didn’t take reliability and resale into account at all.

I guess they don't take into consideration if you want the truck to actually function properly.
Reliability is all I care about... so I'll keep buying Toyota.
I only look at resale values and long term reliability. Guess which one that is.
Toyota?
I'd take a army green 2020 Tundra trd pro..................
YESSS thats my dream truck
Hi Dave,
I so appreciate your helpful tips!

Tom Gregory I’m still driving my Tacoma 08 that how I feel now I may change my mind to get a new one your thoughts.
Any ideal when the redesigned Tundra is due to be released??
Late 2021 to early 2022 for model year 2022...........
2923 with a v6.
You cannot recommend a Titan. I LOVED my titan XD, but Nissan isn't long for this world. Sorry to say, but only a fool buys a titan...
True nissan lost its way
Wb ford f150?
Kane
So, you are the fool in this story? Titan trucks are great affordable alternatives to the norm. Strong and reliable engines.
I'll take the Tundra
Can’t find a top of the line version anywhere close to where your price $’s are listed

I’m not looking to buy cause I’m not able to now. Just checking the market trends. 🤪
Love those chevys
I’m surprised the Dodge beat the Ford. Don’t matter though. The F150 and the Ram will always be the two best pickups you can buy
You look skinnier my brother . And nice video
Very nice that Titan. Would love to own one.

If you buy the RAM get the extended warranty ..or just Lease it and return it after the lease .. you’ll thank me later
Ram 1500 number 1?? This list should be renamed .. “Best trucks that look good in the shop”
@ufoguyspaceman 5 months eh? Now that’s reliability
Ford f150 xlt diesel
The F-150 and Titan are the best
Woof, terrible choices
