As for seasons 10 and later that's garbage, it forces humor way too much and is just as brainrot as Fanboy & Chum Chum but not quite.
Well there goes my theory about thinking that the Character Design change on Patrick's parents in the Patrick Star Show was because we are watching them in Patrick's eyes which makes them look and act like his mind thinks how they all are. I'm only waiting for the next seasons to reuse the current ones. Making low-quality episodes based on low-quality episodes will be the most complicated joke ever.
People say that SpongeBob is meant to be targeted for kids and adults shouldn’t even be watching but failed to notice the ungodly amount of nostalgia bait SpongeBob has
The point is that the nostalgia bait is literally just there. Very little about the episodes is really that appealing to more mature audiences. The fact that they’re bringing back old memorable characters doesn’t really change anything about the episode.
Ms. (Mizz) is the female form of Mr., used for women regardless of marital status, though generally unmarried. Miss is for young, unmarried women Mrs. Is for married women.

What is Nickelodeon planning on doing when one of the voice actors for the main cast dies? I'm sorry for asking a morbid question, but I'm truly curious. How are they going to replace Tom Kenny, or Clancy Brown, or Bill Fagerbakke? I wouldn't be surprise if they switched to AI-generated voices in the event that one of the main cast members dies.
Easy. They’ll hire Tom Schalk who voiced SpongeBob in one of the Death Battle episodes and Uncle Al who voiced Squidward, Patrick, Mr Krabs and Plankton in his videos.
7. Bad jokes 8.Characters making weird sounds rather than actually talking 9.Giving the characters more exaggerated personalities 10. Characters doing the most diabolical stuff known to man
Okay everything else is genuinely pretty terrible, but SpongeBob booping his dad on the nose through the split screen felt very classic SpongeBob and had some humor to it in the delivery.
@@andrewbaillie5549 I'm not saying the context we got is good enough to deem it "charming," but in an older episode I could picture him doing that to Squidward specifically, and then hopefully hanging up immediately, instead of extending the call, which kills it the most here imo. Humor in the delivery because.. I mean it's Tom Kenney. His voice sounds rougher and the material they give him isn't great but I still think there's humor in the idea and he still has the energy to pull it off, is all I meant by that part. An og episode would have probably also had SpongeBob's hand go through the phone itself instead of passing over the split screen, and done more of a visual gag there tbh.
3:14 I know spongebob Is stupid and childlike, but he shouldn't be this stupid to realize Plankton isn't here for a maclious reason. The ONLY time he's around spongebob is when its to benefit himself.
Depressing. The entire reason these cartoons were ever even popular and stayed popular for so long was because both kids and adults could find them funny. The kids couldn’t understand the adult humour. That was the whole point.
If they kept Spongebob more as an adult in these newer episodes we may actually see bangers like the classics. I also hate how they treat Spongebob as mindless, Spongebob is not stupid he knows Plankton is not his brother
i think the tie being a clip on is actually a pretty clever way to nod to a previous episode...even if it offers a bit of a contradiction. spongebob had a modern episode where he couldn't tie a knot, so it makes sense he would struggle to tie a tie, so he decides to use a clip on. he HAS been seeing tying the tie, but i think that CAN be explained off as "memorizing something he just learned" doesn't fix the episode, but i can respect it even if its a bit...proven wrong.
8:16 This scene RIGHT HERE is what pisses me off about Modern Spongebob, they run those unfunny and flat out disgusting jokes to death and the characterization in this episode is beyond abysmal that it just melts my brain. I MUST say that Season 14 is an ABYSMAL season, THE WORST Spongebob season and that scene pretty much proves my point.
It really hurts me to see what used to be the best show on Nickelodeon is now just a dumb and annoying kids show that constantly nostalgia baits it's users that watched it since it's debut.
The fate of every kids show with modern writing, no more jokes that are funny to adults while also being funny to kids for different reasons, only braindead ipad kid adhd attention span keeping no matter what.
Admittedly, I think the continuity spit. Anything released after sponge on the run belongs to the camp Coral/Patrick star show timeline, unless it pacifically shows something only in the original timeline like Patrick’s house
Spongebob doesn't know how to tie a tie in this episode even though he was shown doing it before in an older season? Well... when he was a free-spirited naïve adult...
Plankton could have at least walked away from SpongeBob for some reason. I mean, he just can't tell SpongeBob about the secret formula unless Krabs tells him about that. It's possible that Mr. Krabs would give up the ownership of the Krusty Krab to SpongeBob and SpongeBob would probably make some changes for the restaurant. I knew that season 14 was an abomination. It never ends, does it? Someday it will, someday it'll happen. Even if Mr. Kenny would retire in voice acting if SpongeBob had a series finale. It's been there for over 20 years, man. Let the show die. Bring a new TV series that has nothing to do with SpongeBob or something. We millennials used to like that show during our time.
Tbh, I don't think it's the reason why kids are so weird. It definitely plays a part, but I think it's more unrestricted internet access and absent parenting than anything

Post S11 is where I really feel SpongeBob has gone 100% downhill since Stephen Hillenberg’s death in 2018. Which is 6 years ago. The last time I cared about SpongeBob was Salty SpongeBob and The Tiral Wave. SpongeBob had some fantastic and good episodes post SpongeBob thr movie(2004) and 04894 Sponge on The Run and Sandy Swuitrel movie(2020 and 2024). S12-13 have a couple good episodes. There are also some so bad it’s good episodes or SpongeBob, minusing all the bad and bland episodes of Appnhebob. I hate late SpongeBob. Love esrly SpongeBob and didn’t mind mid SpongeBob. Yet post-Hillenberg’s death(more like two years after) SpongeBob 100% become unwatchable. That’s saying a lot despite all the gross episodes us die hard fans had to face watching to find actual gold.
A lot of episodes from season 12 were ok'd by Hillenburg because they would've aired in 2019 meaning they were worked on in 2018 before his passing, I find it amusing how many people think the show actually changed in quality the moment he died despite much of season 12 also being during his lifetime, somehow no one can understand that it takes more than 3 days to make an episode of a cartoon. It takes an entire year.
Everything after season 9 just wasn’t the same in my thoughts. Sure seasons 10-14 have a few good episodes but these seasons don’t make me mad. They make me feel disappointed.
@@ReddyToAnimate that’s true. The exaggerated animation kinda hurt the episodes and the excessive nostalgia pandering made it worse. Yeah, when the writers actually think of something original, it is good.
If they remake Band Geeks, they're beyond the line.
This episode was so genius, I literally cannot imagine how the hell it would seem if it was remade in Modern SpongeBob.

The milking of this show has no limits omg. Spongebob's voice sounds SO different, they nostalgia bait every single episode but i don't think the people thatd get nostalgic over this are even still watching?

So first SpongeBob says that he doesn't make Krabby patties with love. Now that his tie is a clip-on? I know it's sorta a bit of a nitpick but I remember watching Squid on Strike, and he does know how to tie a tie on the beginning.
It does lead me to confusion whether this leads to nautical nonsense or random nonsense.
Hillenburg was right, shit should’ve ended after the first movie.
That would be a lame ending, season 4 and 5 are underappreciated, I don't wanna live in a world where that doesn't exist.

@@Carossmo that's good that you think that but I love season 5, I have a soft spot for seasons 6-9A and I'm honestly not even scared to say it, this era has some entertaining moments but not perfect some episodes can be randomly cruel but so were many old cartoons, if the hate stoops from Squidward torture or gross-ups then I know right off the bat there's an enter fan in the midst whose likely seen 0 episodes outside rants (not saying they're naturally good but try forming a personal opinion), yeah the episodes also tend to be boring but that's what made them so hysterical and you know what season 1 was also pretty boring so it wasn't that random that later parts were also. As for seasons 10 and later that's garbage, it forces humor way too much and is just as brainrot as Fanboy & Chum Chum but not quite.
Tom Kenny really can't do it anymore.
It might be the voice direction. In the Patrick Star Show, he sounds completely fine in Patty in Time.

@@Eyezick-l5zthat means "cap" or "stop the cap" aka "stop lying."
Well there goes my theory about thinking that the Character Design change on Patrick's parents in the Patrick Star Show was because we are watching them in Patrick's eyes which makes them look and act like his mind thinks how they all are. That could also explain why everything is wackier in that show compared to normal SpongeBob...

Spongebobs tie doesn't make sense. He literally tied it on screen in an old episode. Under and over then through the loop and down the barrel...
This reminds me of that one episode where Plankton dresses up as a grandma to make SpongeBob believe he's his grandma
People say that SpongeBob is meant to be targeted for kids and adults shouldn’t even be watching but failed to notice the ungodly amount of nostalgia bait SpongeBob has
Crazy how I’d be agreeing with one of you
The point is that the nostalgia bait is literally just there. Very little about the episodes is really that appealing to more mature audiences. The fact that they’re bringing back old memorable characters doesn’t really change anything about the episode.
A kid's show is always better if adults can enjoy it too

What is Nickelodeon planning on doing when one of the voice actors for the main cast dies? I'm sorry for asking a morbid question, but I'm truly curious. How are they going to replace Tom Kenny, or Clancy Brown, or Bill Fagerbakke? I wouldn't be surprise if they switched to AI-generated voices in the event that one of the main cast members dies.

Okay everything else is genuinely pretty terrible, but SpongeBob booping his dad on the nose through the split screen felt very classic SpongeBob and had some humor to it in the delivery.
That barely is chuckle or charming
11:41 Remember what Patrick said in Home Sweet Pineapple?
"When my parents kicked me out of the house, I never went back!"
If they kept Spongebob more as an adult in these newer episodes we may actually see bangers like the classics. I also hate how they treat Spongebob as mindless, Spongebob is not stupid he knows Plankton is not his brother
i think the tie being a clip on is actually a pretty clever way to nod to a previous episode...even if it offers a bit of a contradiction.
spongebob had a modern episode where he couldn't tie a knot, so it makes sense he would struggle to tie a tie, so he decides to use a clip on. he HAS been seeing tying the tie, but i think that CAN be explained off as "memorizing something he just learned"
doesn't fix the episode, but i can respect it even if its a bit...proven wrong.
Tom Kenny going back to the studio for the 12th time in a week
8:16 This scene RIGHT HERE is what pisses me off about Modern Spongebob, they run those unfunny and flat out disgusting jokes to death and the characterization in this episode is beyond abysmal that it just melts my brain.

Do the writers and animators have fun making this? Surely they don’t right?
It’s funny that they’re trying to make SpongeBob more kid like, but his voice is getting deeper😂
It only took them until s13 to balance classic era AND post s3 references correctly. They CAN make banger episodes (Salty Sponge, Tango Tangle, Dopey Dick, etc). It’s just hard for the writers to unleash their true potential.
@@rodrigomontalvo910 yeah. Even though the animation is as great as Disney and Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course but it doesn’t save these seasons. This isn't even intended as a remake of F.U.N
