If it weren't for Patrick's "family" showing-up in the main series, I'd propose that the Patrick Star Show _actually is a real show_ in the Spongebob Universe. Not a show that Patrick is putting on public-access; that's part of the show's framing. It's an actual show that's being produced by a Studio in Bikini Bottom; the family are all actors who are hired to be Patrick's family. The reason that I think that, is because, in the main series, Patrick seems perfectly able to get-by despite being unemployed. Patrick not having any money is only ever brought-up when it's relevant to the plot; meanwhile, he seems perfectly able to just _exist_ in his lazy lifestyle. This leads me to think that Patrick must either have a fortune in savings that he's literally just sitting on. So it could be that Patrick actually made enough money as the star of the Patrick Star Show that he figured he could live the rest of his life as lazily as possible; so he took the money and retired. Or it could be that although the show was cancelled, Patrick still receives royalty checks from the studio; heck, that could explain why Patrick is able to live despite some episodes being centered around him being broke - he's making income that's actually few and far between. In-fact, maybe the contradiction isn't that far-fetched. We know from I'm With Stupid, Patrick is so dumb that he wouldn't recognize his own parents if he saw them - heck, a later episode actually has Patrick confusing _Spongebob's parents_ for his own. So while the other members of his "family" from the show were just hired actors, maybe Patrick was stupid enough to think it was all real. Maybe that's why he either still sees them as his "family" or occasionally interact with them as family. And maybe his "family" goes along with the charade, because they're actually _too afraid_ to correct him. Let's face it, we've seen how violent Patrick can get when things don't go his way. So I think everybody involved would regard _due caution_ when it came to revealing to Patrick that he was low-keyed "Truman-Showed". The question is, why would Patrick have his own show? Well, it could be that the powers-that-be (The French Narrator/Cyclops) assumed that Patrick's stupidity and propensity for anticts would be more entertaining to watch. Meanwhile, Spongebob is a supporting character. Maybe after a while, the producers realized that Spongebob made for a more entertaining protagonist; so they cancelled the PSS and started up with the original series that we all know. And heck, snipets of the Patrick Star Show still linger on, considering we get occasional episodes from Patrick's Perspective - like the episode where he becomes "King;" that seems like a Patrick Star Show concept, only _better-written._
Alright That narlene cheese grater foot scene was downright horrendous to witness Thank you so much for assaulting my eyeballs with that I miss the life I had before I knew it existed
Obviously they had none of the original show’s continuity in mind when they made the spinoffs. The main thing they were thinking about was making money.
You talk about the spongebob fanbase hating Arlene, but Nick does not care about the opinions of the people you’re talking about, they care about what will keep kids watching. If the opinions of the adults that consider themselves spongebob fans mattered, the show would have been canceled several seasons ago. The narwals probably tested well with kids or something like that.
I didn’t think Sponge on the Run was a great movie but the scene showing SpongeBob as a kid going to Camp Coral and being voiced by an actual kid was genuinely heartwarming…and then like the series they shit on it by giving us Kamp Koral which looks like Cocomelon on Johnny Johnny’s “sugar”. I cannot stand these spin-offs.
I understand folks not liking Bubblebass. The dude's designed to be an inconsiderate jerk. His most notable appearances in older seasons confirm as such: 1.) He plops himself down on top of Plankton and grinds him into the seat a bit when SpongeBob tells him "you're sitting on my friend!" 2.) He gaslights SpongeBob into thinking he forgot to put pickles on a Krabby Patty, causing SpongeBob to fall into such a state of disarray that he can't remember how to function normally.
I like to imagine Patrick's real family aren't the ones from The Patrick Star Show. His real family was just forgotten. And then he was mistaken by every part of his 'family' in The Patrick Star Show. With how dumb he is nowadays, it's plausible. Either that or his family got major plastic surgery or were like thrown into a high contrast machine that also changed their anatomy-
It's funny that they had to replace patricks parents with other people because his parents' only character trait was that they were just really nice people. My personal head cannon about his new parents is that like the episode that his actual parents first appeared. He just thought they were his parents, and they just went with it like the other parents did in that episode. That keeps the continuity kinda. Anyway, there is nothing to fix what camp coral does to the timeline through. They really messed that one up.
One thing that really annoys me about the show is how many games and collabs it recently gets. I get it’s the 25th anniversary but like, please Nickelodeon, give your other shows a chance…
I think with the timeline stuff, it is a causality loop. Like Sandy told her past self to do that then the past self would know in the future to tell her past self to burn it because of the future. There is no beginning or end.
If patrick has two families, then it might be darker than expected. His original parents couldn't take care of him, or he was put for adoption. Later into his life, he found out his true blood line and now sees his real parents more.
Instead of creating new stories and characters that make sense with the lore of the show, they create entire new scenarios and stories that contradict a lot of what we know, and then they force the characters in
Personally I don’t mind Bubble Bass going from a random one off character to recurring character and expanding on him.But that’s where my leniency ends. The spin offs shouldn’t be a thing in my opinion
I don't care if Stephen Hillenburg want a spin-off show based on Spongebob or not, as long as it memorable or fun to watch. And in my opinion, camp koral and Patrick star show are neither fun or memorable. So basically it was all Nickelodeon's fault.
It would make more sense for pearl to be on wheels or some kind of crane holding her head up, instead of the water tank. It'd make more sense, because she can breathe air and whales are too heavy out of water and It'd probably be funnier too.
Hillenburg said don’t turn SpongeBob into babies/kids. Which makes sense because the appeal of SpongeBob is that he’s a grown man acting like a child. So when you have a child acting like a child its not really that entertaining.
honestly people are so focused on the fact that there was a spinoff that nobodys talking about how the spinoff actively spits on the lore of the original show. like regardless of whether hillenburg knew or not let alone approved, it's a huge overstep to make so many changes to the world that you need to introduce time travel to justify it and then handfist those time travel changes into the core show. like say what you want about dark age spongebob, i know i have but that was just plain seasonal rot. it wasn't offensive in its very existance, only execution.
New characters from the spin-offs being forced into the main Spongebob show reminds me, back in 2012, when Marvel started changinig a lot of stuff in the comic books to make it look more like the MCU. Like, let's just pretend those elements/characters were always part of the source material.
They should have just done a retro 'Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy' spinoff in the style of 'Super Friends'. they could have gotten a whole lot of mileage out of that. Might've even ended up being cheaper to animate, I dunno'
i think he means main movies, not stuff like the sandy cheeks movie or the leaked plankton movie. i think he means just the actual movies where spongebob is the main character, so the first movie, sponge out of water and sponge on the run. though if he were including those movies, the sandy cheeks movie is definitely worse than sponge on the run
So, multiverse is only used to solve the plot mistakes, isn't it? The backstory with Sandy in Camp Coral is kinda messed up and doesn't even look like an alternative universe.
Man SpongeBobs voice is....wow. Also that Mr. Krabs spinoff idea is cool, but also i think would appeal to an older audience as a concept, and at that point just make a fully adult squidward show lol
I'm looking forward for a potential life action Spongebob movie starring Jack Black and Jason Mamoa (filmed entirely in front of a greenscreen, of course)
8:20 This is like Dragon Ball Z Broly and DBS Broly all over again. Patrick's entire family has been completely rewritten to fit in the universe for a new series. I believe that Stephen Hillenburg rewrites Patrick's family in the same fashion as Akira Toriyama rewriting the existent DBZ Broly for a new story. (Which is why we have DBS Broly) Kinda like a retake.

Nice theory. I think The Patrick Star Show would work better if it was a show about what Patrick does while SpongeBob’s working at The Krusty Krab.

Not only that, but Nickelodeon, being its usual clingy self towards money making things, would rather have Disneyfication than what the people want.

It's not. He approved of Kamp Koral. Your misinformation is annoying, I bet you don't even care about Hillenburg
@@ProbablySoon-pv6ee A lot of Seasons 1-3 SpongeBob fans love to claim this nonsense for nothing more than cheap attempts to get likes.

No they aren’t. Get used to the spin offs.
His most notable appearances in older seasons confirm as such:
1.) He plops himself down on top of Plankton and grinds him into the seat a bit when SpongeBob tells him "you're sitting on my friend!"
2.) He gaslights SpongeBob into thinking he forgot to put pickles on a Krabby Patty, causing SpongeBob to fall into such a state of disarray that he can't remember how to function normally.
SpongeBob becoming a arg
honestly that actually would be cool if it was branded that way
@@theorginsonicThat would be very cool in my opinion
'The Tidal Zone' sounds like a legit arg name as well.
I made a discord game dev server close because I put an arg in there
The Mr. Krabs spin-off woulda been fire
The way SpongeBob episodes and timelines are made are confusing, as almost every episode has a different timeline seemingly
You know, out of all the possibilities, we should've got a Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy spin-off 😠
I like to imagine Patrick's real family aren't the ones from The Patrick Star Show. His real family was just forgotten. And then he was mistaken by every part of his 'family' in The Patrick Star Show. With how dumb he is nowadays, it's plausible.
Either that or his family got major plastic surgery or were like thrown into a high contrast machine that also changed their anatomy-
Mr. Krabs could’ve had a One Piece style spin-off
It's funny that they had to replace patricks parents with other people because his parents' only character trait was that they were just really nice people.
Nickelodeon wants people to live like Squidward for a year. LOL.
I think with the timeline stuff, it is a causality loop. Like Sandy told her past self to do that then the past self would know in the future to tell her past self to burn it because of the future. There is no beginning or end.
i love the main show of spongebob squarepants
If patrick has two families, then it might be darker than expected. His original parents couldn't take care of him, or he was put for adoption. Later into his life, he found out his true blood line and now sees his real parents more.
"the tidal zone" is actually a pretty clever name and they had to waste it on that bull crap?
My theory is that the newest seasons are an alternate universe because of inconsistences and, well, the stupid trash spinoffs
6:45 oh god please put a warning next time
Instead of creating new stories and characters that make sense with the lore of the show, they create entire new scenarios and stories that contradict a lot of what we know, and then they force the characters in
I miss when Truth or Square and Atlantis Squarepantis were the worst this show could offer.
Personally I don’t mind Bubble Bass going from a random one off character to recurring character and expanding on him.But that’s where my leniency ends. The spin offs shouldn’t be a thing in my opinion
I am shocked that they used the name "Lube Lagoon"
What is it with nickelodeon and feet?? Dan Schneider hasnt worked for them for a good few years now, but weird feet stuff keeps showing up?

I don't care if Stephen Hillenburg want a spin-off show based on Spongebob or not, as long as it memorable or fun to watch. And in my opinion, camp koral and Patrick star show are neither fun or memorable. So basically it was all Nickelodeon's fault.

It would make more sense for pearl to be on wheels or some kind of crane holding her head up, instead of the water tank.
It'd make more sense, because she can breathe air and whales are too heavy out of water and It'd probably be funnier too.
I'm wish that kamp koral was a actually prequel to spongebob in not just the main show but a horrible cash grab
Narlene is spongebob’s equivalent to poppy from trolls
New characters from the spin-offs being forced into the main Spongebob show reminds me, back in 2012, when Marvel started changinig a lot of stuff in the comic books to make it look more like the MCU. Like, let's just pretend those elements/characters were always part of the source material.

i think he means main movies, not stuff like the sandy cheeks movie or the leaked plankton movie. i think he means just the actual movies where spongebob is the main character, so the first movie, sponge out of water and sponge on the run. though if he were including those movies, the sandy cheeks movie is definitely worse than sponge on the run

So, multiverse is only used to solve the plot mistakes, isn't it? The backstory with Sandy in Camp Coral is kinda messed up and doesn't even look like an alternative universe.
the spongebob squarepants cinematic universe and it's consequences has been a disaster for the human race
at this point i’m convinced that the writers are just trying to satiate their barely disguised fetishes than actually trying to make a good show
Man SpongeBobs voice is....wow.
Also that Mr. Krabs spinoff idea is cool, but also i think would appeal to an older audience as a concept, and at that point just make a fully adult squidward show lol

8:20 This is like Dragon Ball Z Broly and DBS Broly all over again. Patrick's entire family has been completely rewritten to fit in the universe for a new series.
