Me too . Junior high was my hay day with cards and we had several card shops . I don’t even know if any are around my area now . Actually I remember the man’s name from the best store . Everyone called him cookie . Haha good memories
i share that sentiment mike as im also 43 and a dad. the good ole days when i was a kid colecting cards. i still have them all but ive never sent them to get graded. i doubt i have a 10 as its nearly impossible. i have alot of jordan cards and a few other good ones.
It’s awesome to see that there are still vintage boxes that haven’t been opened yet! Brings back great memories. I’m Loving the fact that I can share this hobby with my two sons now! Mike = GOAT
Thanks Geoff and Mark for hosting that box opening! Good to see you two ripping rare NBA boxes we dont see in this realm any more. Love it! Keep it coming!
Congratulations on the Michael Jordan cards love seeing that card. Miss the days when you could open up a box and actually make a set. Mark is very knowledgeable about the vintage cards great to see him. After watching this I want to see the 1998 Fleer box opening video again. Thanks for a trip down memory lane for me.
Gentleman, I loved this. Being born in 1980 this brings back so many happy memories. As a kid I'd watch basketball with my mom and she was a Pistons fan (Zeke, Joe D, Microwave, flopping Bill, Spider Sally, and a young worm) so naturally I cheered for the Lakers! I called them the Puny Pistons so she called mine the Losing Lakers. One of the best memories of my life. Glad I discovered yall this morning!
46 and this video brought back so many memories. I started collecting in 89 so I missed these classic years. I still have a ton of cards and a giant book of John Stockton cards.
Great show I grew up watching all these guys play. I distinctly remember watching Craig Hodges. I love the commentary on the other great supporting cast players.
I hope I'm not too late. Normally, I don't have time to sit through an entire video. This would make my holiday all that much better. Happy 4th for a 4th Jordan!!!✅️
This was absolutely amazing to get 7 Jordan Cards… 3 stickers and 4 base cards… it’s definitely safe to say that this was not just a great investment but really fun to watch, especially getting that last base Jordan at the end! Can’t wait for the next episode guys!!! Great job!
I wish I was into basketball in the 80s like 85 or 86. I was only 8 or 9 but old enough to buy stuff. Sadly I was into collecting garbage pail kids in the 80s. I'm pretty sure I bought some fleer packs but probably just ate the gum and threw the cards away 😅
Wow I am 38 years old and remember growing up on watching Michael Jordan and have been chasing a 87 Fleer for 20 years. But that’s so awesome thanks for always proving amazing content!
That was fun to watch! Lots of good memories of the NBA "Good ol' Days". I could never afford those cards...but it was exciting to watch you open them!
We used to get rid of the gum residue by wrapping a woman's nylon stocking around your fingertip & rub it out gently in a circle, constantly changing the position of your finger in the stocking so you don't rub the residue into the card itself.
I watched the whole video as i watch a lot of your other videos. Thanks for all the work you guys do and for all the effort you guys put to giving us first hand on the hobby.
I was born Feb 18 1987 a day after Michael Jordans 24th Birthday!! Would love to win that card I watched all the way to the end! Great video!! Wish i could afford your guys app Im sure its great!
I always love the old stuff you show. I have a bunch and am a regular collector, but you always seem to provide information that I'm interested in. Thank you for your content!
I recently started buying old boxes of sports cards not just for the value of the cards but because it makes me feel like a kid again. I really enjoyed watching you guys opening these packs. New Sub :)
This was a long video that went by so fast that it was incredible 👏. As a child the most packs I ever opened was 10 because my grandmother gave me and my brother $5.00 to share and I bought the last 10 packs of basketball cards my corner store had left and I remember feeling like I was on top of the world. Thank you for bringing back that feeling.
What an opening - so much nonchalance after hitting HOF-er after HOF-er, haha. Thanks for taking us through the box and through 80s basketball once again!
Im so glad I found this channel. Thank you guys for eating the gum to! That 87 jordan is very special to me to. Growing up, my two best friends and i called ourselves the T3 because we were unbeatable on the court. I had three copies of the 87 jordan when Kyle died in 2015 just short of 34 years old. At the funeral i put one copy in the pocket of his jacket and i gave one to our other friend Joseph who was actually the minister presiding over the funeral. So, all these years later, even though we are separated from each other we will always have a bond within the 1987 MJ. ❤❤❤
Wow ! That awsome Jordan cards! I lost all mine in a fire in my home 30 years ago. But always is good to see some. Very rare box for this times.i began to collect again but all those treasures are gone for me. I enjoy to see you videos!
Love watching you open this box (and chew the gum 😅). This brought back fond memories of my card collecting as a kid in the 80s, never landed Jordan but loved the hunt! Love your enthusiasm, you have become our favorite voice in this wonderful hobby, keep up with the great videos!
What a way to finish the box with a 4th Jordan! I was nervous you guys weren’t going to hit a single base card of him for awhile! Awesome video & thanks for sharing!
I needed this more than I thought. It was so fun to watch and brought back some great memories of my siblings and I when we were card collectors in the 80's-90's. Fun times. Thank You.
That is so awesome , and to eat the gum how awesome y’all are brave and to hear how crunchy it was I can’t stop laughing eat your heart out Johnny Knoxville lol
Wow this was an awesome video and it brings back so many memories of my brother and I sitting in my room opening a bunch of packs and chewing bubblegum. So nice to see this video! Thanks for the memories!
What a great way to promote the hobby. Makes me wonder what the heck I was doing back then? Should’ve bought some Fleer basketball cards! Love the videos! Thanks for sharing!
Growing up less than 2 miles from Reunion Arena (in Dallas), seeing all those Harp, Aguire, & Detlef cards brought back some memories. Detlef and Thurl Bailey fought it out for sixth man for a while. I once saw Detlef throw a pass off Uwe Blab's head and score (like a soccer header). It wasn't on purpose. I miss the game 7s with the Lakers.
CONGRATULATIONS Cnewman3576! You have won the 1987 Michael Jordan giveaway! Please email hello@sportscardinvestor.com to claim your prize. You have until Monday, August 21st, 2023 at 5 PM ET to claim otherwise another winner will be chosen at random.
I very much enjoyed watching you guys open up that rare box. So many unique, legendary players! In 1987, I was growing up on the south side of Chicago trying my best to be Michael Jordan or Isiah Thomas while opening packs like these. Great memories. Thanks!
Man this brings back so many memories of going to the card shop and buying these pack back in the day. I remember washing my dad's truck to get get money to buy them. Thank you both for taking me back down memory lane.

Love the video y’all! Hoping to start my card collection one of these days soon. This show has inspired me to get back into the hobby for sure! Thank you!
Awesome box rip on a truly iconic set. I remember opening a box of 1988-89 fleer basketball back in 91 or 92. It was such fun making sets out of packs with my Mom. Keep up the great videos and thanks for posting this!!
Great video! I don’t have the money to invest but watching your videos tickles the kid in me with all the nice pulls, purchases and trades you do. Thanks for being clean and good people.

Loved this episode! Brought me right back to my childhood, lots of names i hadn't thought of in a long time. Charles Barkley looked soo young. Id love to win that Jordan card, great addition to my collection. Keep up the great content!
I watched all way thru, would love to have the jordan I'm 43, and my boys would go crazy . They love the show and watch with me. Love the checklist as well.
I would eat 5 pieces of gum to get my hands on one of those Jordan cards! I have been collecting for 35 years and haven't got one of these yet! Was a fun watch amd great to always turn back the clock a bit. Thank you!
Great box! 7 Jordan's is a nice investment indeed. As a Celtics fan, I was rooting for your Bird hits. Brings a new appreciation for the condition sensitivity of the set.
So much fun watching you open these boxes from years past. Brings back great memories of my childhood doing the same thing with my dad. Congrats on the pulls!
As a 43 old father with a 12 year old and a 4 year this video brings back so many wonderful memories of a time when life was much simpler great video!

1:51 these packs are being seen for the first time since Steve Hart sealed that box at BBCE. These boxes never came sealed from the factory.

That's cute. Who's the ALL TIME points leader in NBA history?
Thanks Geoff and Mark for hosting that box opening! Good to see you two ripping rare NBA boxes we dont see in this realm any more. Love it! Keep it coming!
Neat to watch, what surpirses me the most is not opening them with gloves and putting them in sleeves right away 😅
Growing up in the 80s it’s always great to take a trip down memory lane with you fellas! Really enjoyed it.
Love Mark in the videos. His knowledge on history is second to none!
Congratulations on the Michael Jordan cards love seeing that card. Miss the days when you could open up a box and actually make a set. Great video guys!!! Being a Knicks fan in the 80's and 90's Jordan was always crushing us. Mad respect for the goat!!
Me too! If it wasn’t Jordan it was Reggie
They dont make them like they used to back in the 80s and 90s. Would love to see how MJ and Reggie….and ole Bill Lambier…would do in today’s game
Great show I grew up watching all these guys play. I distinctly remember watching Craig Hodges. I love the commentary on the other great supporting cast players.
Loved seeing the Drexler and Porter cards. My mom owns all of Drexler's star cards.

No basketball player has ever come close to touching MJ’s ability to play basketball as if it was an art form.
Larry Bird.
True about Jordan. That’s why PSA rates his cards at 9’s all the time!
