I think that they should go with the Halo route where if you buy the battle pass, you can level it up at any point and it never expires. I believe this is very helpful and consumer friendly especially for people who can't always play, especially for people who just don't have much time to play but they want to get the skins they want.

True but CH2 S4 to CH2 S8, CH3 S1 to CH3 S3, and CH4 S1,S2,and S4 had collab content in their battle passes as well as CH2 S2 will pesent a challenge to bring back
I believe they should do this it is more consumer friendly and it will discourage people from selling their accounts which is against epic's terms of service and it also will decrease account thefts because the whole exclusivity part is why a lot of accounts are stolen (not to mention battlepasses begin to feel like a chore after a while which burns people out and can stop them from wanting to complete said battlepass which was paid for)
Honestly in general it should be for people who didn't buy the battlepass but made progress on it.

Literally bought a renegade raider because that’s the only skin I was missing 😂 I have a total of 1500+ skins probably almost done with my collection but you and others are right they should come back and stop account buying and the scams that come with it.

As someone with most of the exclusives and ch1 and 2 battle passes, i think they should come back. With how popular fn is, having anything, let alone a popular collab be behind a 5+ year old paywall is crazy imo
I don’t think that battle pass skins should just be released to the item shop but I do think they should return. The way I imagine it is you take all the battle passes from chapter 2 season 1 and onward (the ones with collaborations) and allow players to finish or purchase those battle passes for the first time. First you would have to have the current battle pass and upgrade it to level 100 (complete it) before giving the chance to buy and complete another older battle pass. I think this works out best for all players and epic as it gives players a reason to still play and grind the game as well as buy whatever the current battle pass is, eliminating the fear that much less people will buy battle passes once they’re not exclusive. In fact I think even more people would purchase them than usual.
The problem with battlepasses is most people never unlocked the full battlepasses in chapter 1. What could be a solution to this is at the end of every season players could spend vbucks (1,000-2,000) to unlock the rest of everything. This option never expires and could be used on any battlepass in the past that you bought.

I personally believe its a good idea to let us finish unfinished battle passes we owned. But there should be a different system, they should make it similar to how Halo Infinite does it.

Fortnite should take a break one season a year and allow people to purchase and complete a battle pass that they missed.
Players get to unlock sought after cosmetics that they missed, and epic games gets to use that time they would spend on creating a battle pass and instead focus on creating new content and updates for the game. It’s a win win for players and the studio.
There would be a very small like 0.1% group who own everything, but in that case maybe they could take a cut from League of Legends book and gift them vbucks or an old exclusive skin.

I feel like situations like this could be prevented if Epic converted their BP system to a much less FOMO integral one like Halo Infinite, permanently available to purchase after release to work on at your own pace.
And it would solve the account selling situation. I swear, the advertising for account selling sites is HUGE, every time I search for fortnite I get one ad.
As someone who owns virtually any battle pass skin except for the the majority of chapter 4 ones, i personally think its a really dumb thing to gatekeep cosmetics from players that want them. I would not have a problem with epic releasing the reaper for example to the item shop for 2000 Vbucks (2000 since he is a legendary skin). Don't get me wrong some players, including myself grinded hard for those skins but keep in mind that the people that grinded for it only spent 950 Vbucks, others would need to spend full price. I think we should stop caring for virtual items so much and just release those skins to the othere too, its unecessary and exclusivity only makes others want to buy accounts. So my opinion is: Don't gatekeep the skins and release them to the others that did not get them in the item shop at full price.
The problem is that not every battlepass skin has a variant, My absolute favorite skin, Maya does not have a variant, I have the original, but others don't. Telling people to buy a variant doesn't work for at least 60% of the skins
People keep saying that "oh well on the epic website it says battle passes will never return". Yeah well epic also said STW would be free in 2018, and then they changed it to 2019, and then in 2020 they said itll never be free so just because something is said right now doesnt mean it can't change. I think with the return of OG this year we're probably going to get the old battle passes back again. Probably free styles for those who bought the old one. Plus look at how many people are begging for this it would make a FUDGETON of money.

What value do Fortnite skins really hold ?
I’m not against the return of the old passes in a certain way , let’s say your account was active and you did play in a season where you didn’t finish your BP , if you bought it or not , you should be able to have a last chance to get it because you were active back there , it won’t ruin the exclusivity since you were technically able to get it back then , and the ones that weren’t active back then won’t be able to get it either , so it’s pretty fair to me choosing that path.
Exactly! If you bought and played during a season, they should give the rest of the battle pass to you, now they would have to take some things out like v bucks and xp, maybe other things. But that way it’s fair and people would be happy.

Epic should re release only the collab battle pass skins in the item shop and give those who got the skin with the battlepass get a exclusive style like Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper
One thing I think Epic should add is instead of having superstyles they should let anyone who bought a previous battlepass finish it, I bought the season X battlepass and barely played because the mechs were broken, so I never got the styles or emotes from that batlepass. That makes me think they should let people pick which battlepass to finish each new season, because the superstyles are almost always mid anyways.
I would take a page out of Splatoon 3’s notebook: after a season ends, a few season later sees a gacha mechanic that allows you to obtain old battle pass cosmetics. I’ve got several items that I missed from previous seasons as a result!
I think epic should bring back old battle passes cuz I used to own season 2 clear to chapter 3 season 1 but my account got hacked and I lost it also people don't understand yes I get it it is supposed to be exclusive but exclusive can also mean it expired can change how the battle pass system works now these days they can also bring back old for the people that used to own old battle passes get all these cosmetics again they have rare skins has your skin has no value you're not allowed to really sell your account about something rare also if you joined the skin and you think the skin is awesome why are you want to keep it rare you should let everybody else enjoy the skin too cuz some people don't even Rock the Black Knight skin just use the shield so I get some people to join some of these games cuz some of these people don't even Rock the skins anymore they just leave it in locker and some people forget about these cosmetics
though I dont think they should return to the item shop, if you are able to prove that you're account had these skins and then lost them, there should be some sort of refund system for it.

Stop gatekeeping pixels. I've been playing since season 1 and have no problem with newer players gaining access to older skins that I have. You'd have to be a child or a man-child to care about exclusivity over the skins themelves. Let the people who want the skins have them without such a butthurt fuss. You probably won't use most of them anyways.
Hey, appreciate the feedback, but this isn't a very good argument. Since these are just pixels, why does it matter if epic keeps these pixels from returning in the form of an item shop skin. Also, its not just the exclusivity that matters, its the value that comes with it (1:32)
@@Imawambat Value? What value? They are pixels. Looked into it very little, just because she appeared twice made her rare, but then being brought into rotation making her nothing. It was one less skin made "rare" for everyone, that value you speak of? The rarity of it? The skins aren't worth monetary value after purchasing, all it is, is keeping someone else from wearing a skin. It's epics decision to even bring old passes back, money lost, gained, is however they implement their return to the game.

If you really want go that route. the same thing could be said for those who want to be compensated for something they never experienced in a virtual game. we dont always get what we want. deal with it (even i dont even possess the early cosmetics)

That is true man, literally everybody wants things they don't have just to have it. Nobody would buy the Battle Pass anymore, and that could spur potential legal issues if consumers bought it for the exclusivity. I like your idea of variants however, and yes, it would be a real shame if any of the modes were removed in the future because of a lack of financing for the modes

I think that epic games should bring back the simplicity and ammount of styles back. Now it's just. "Oh yeah just level up, level up and after that just level up some more". Unlike in older seasons (from chapter 1 mainly) where you had to complete quests to get some edit styles of a skin. I also think that with "ammount of styles" i mean they should use more time on actual styles and stages rather than just making superstyles. Also i know that grinding levels is way more simple than completing quests, but i think it's just really boring. Also with "simplicity" i mean that there's just too much going on with the skin (in my opinion). For example the current battlepass skin Rust has some kind of protection made out of a tire piece with bullets on it(maybe idk), some small keys and and a belt with details you probably won't see when playing.

As someone who has played for years and has almost all the Collab skins (except Lara croft as i started playing when that battle pass was ending 😅) i'd be perfectly fine with them bringing back Collab Skins that were in the battlepass,
I think the original stuff should remain exclusive but it doesn't make sense to me to keep the collab stuff locked out forever afterall thats the stuff that lures new players into fortnite the thing is many times people dont realise that something is in fortnite till its gone like with Superman for example thats there to lure in people who are fans of the man of steel but if people don't find out till after its gone and then find out they can't get it again no matter what then there just lose interest and leave and lots of people have done this something thats supposed to be used to get new players ironically used in a way that limits new players and it just keeps getting worse everytime a collab item is in the battlepass thats another fanbase you cut off,
To me collab stuff should only remain exclusive for like a year or 2 and then become available for purchase in the item shop and as for alts we have like 30 plus stuff that can no longer be gotten and yet only like 3 skins after all this time have alts that can be gotten and in my opinion those alts aren't that good except maybe the no way home spider-man but that doesn't come back often to me there going to have to release them at some point or there going to start losing lots of potential customers

I don't know If they legally can. The battle pass is sold with the description that once these skins are gone they're gone forever. Bringing them back might be false advertising.
I see this argument a lot but save the world was advertised as to be free to play in 2018 and they changed it 2019, and then in 2020 they said itll never be free. So not entirely impossible they will change their minds
I think they could do similar stuff with what they did with goul and skull trooper. Give skins an edit style for the OG’s and allow every battle pass to be purchasable. Also keep the goddamn collabs out of the battle pass, I really miss the original skins. Skins like Midas and Omega were dope af and these collabs and new style of skins kind of suck imo.

Why make two battlepasses
One main battle pass with the collabs skin and other is a best of battlepass with old skins from previous battlepass. This should be one time as test or celebration.

Epic would make way more money now a days like if they was to bring back season 1 all battle passes and set the battle pass price to 2000 v bucks to buy it then ya people will pay if they have enough money and don’t have those rare stuff in their locker I was homeless and without a console for most of when Fortnite season 1 released so I missed it through no fault of my own and we got to question why did epic take all the different rarity colours out of the locker there has got to be some reason for it which they never said keeping things on the hush hush so maybe just maybe they are planning to bring back old battle passes but set the price a bit hire so back then Fortnite players only paid 1 thousand v bucks if they bring back old battle passes up it to 2 thousand v bucks which is 1 thousand v bucks more than players back then in those days paid for

Lot of people did bought some of the og BP because of the exclusivity promise , so let’s say out of 100% people that bought the OG passes , let’s say like 80% of them did bought them just because they were meant to be exclusives.
