My idea is to just add battle passes into the shop instead of releasing separate coametics into the shop. What i mean is that you can buy any battle pass and grind that untill you finish it and then you can buy a new one, that way you won't feel pressured to complete battle passes and you can play at your own pace
no, that literally the “effort” of a battle pass if you want that skin then get to that level
@@CakeReacts Yeah but then new players will miss out on old skins and people who bought the Battle pass but didn't have time to complete will also miss out. Besides it's financially better for epic games, think about it, if people can buy any battle pass, then they'll buy more v bucks so that they can buy more battle passes which means more money for epic games, and more cosmetics for players without having to worry about: "if I don't play now, I'll never get to lvl 100" it will also solve a lot of addiction problems that parents are so worried about. It's basically a win win situation

Don't get me wrong, I'm not the biggest fan of every Modern Battle Pass Skin but Some of them were better than others.
I know it's subjective when you look at the Battle Passes compared to the Seasons themselves because of Seasons with Map Changes, Updates & Lootpools of Items & Weapons.
It depends how someone felt about the game and It's really up to anyone wether they like something from the Pass or Not.
alsoooo, when fortnite surprised us last year by returning the “OG” map with a mini season, none of us expected that or knew it was possible. it was a success and they’re doing it again! apparently this time they’ll have a permanent game mode. now… i’m just speculating but hear me out:
- who knows what they’ll surprise us with and when? it could be soon. it is very controversial which is why they haven’t hinted at it or written any fine print (e.g. the festival pass specifies cosmetics may return at a later date but the bp doesn’t, it also doesn’t say it won’t so it will).
- if the crew packs return (which i have a feeling they will be soon) and if that system is a success, they’ll definitely do the same for the bp.
- buying/selling accounts and unethical behaviour are getting out of hand. epic knows the reason people do this is to get their hands on their dream cosmetics. they know damn well and i’m sure they’re slowly, but very secretly planning something on the low. it’s a large project and will take time.
- lego styles are getting updated day by day? this only happens for things expected to return soooo maybe once all the bp ones are.. they’ll do something. idk!
- the player base has a lot of newcomers and very few “og” ones (the only ones who would potentially get upset over this - some are loving this idea and want all to be happy, just like myself). it sucks for someone who had their real reasons not to play, to not be able to obtain their dream cosmetics. fn is making lots of profit in other ways and can still make profit from the bp and get us to play (bc it’s a great deal) and still return the stuff at a higher cost. like, why are collab skins locked behind the bars? ugh.
- with the og 2.0 season returning and it’s permanent game mode, this could be fn’s take on returning the bps similarly to halo’s approach. u can play in that season (specific to the bp you’re working on) and maybe complete it along with its season-specific quests to unlock styles such as the lara croft gold anniversary style? idk man this is just me speculating.
anyways, trust me guys, i know it sucks. but, we are all on the same boat here. epic games is good at listening to what we want as players. it may not seem like it at times (e.g. the trash item shops recently LOL), butttt, they’re out there listening to us - watching these videos, reading these comments, reading our thoughts on forums, and taking notes. they bring out emotes with trending songs, listen to our input and bring the survey skins we vote for, have thoughtful collabs, etc. if you haven’t noticed, they’re a bit slow bc these things take time - it’s not an overnight process. i’ll give a recent example: on tiktok, everyone wanted this created dance called the “astro slide” to be on fn. although it took them a few months, they found out and took action. we now have the exact emote with the same dance and music in the shop, known as the “point and strut”. have some hope!! they’re listening to us. this is wayyy bigger than some emote. with time, it’ll happen!
they know that some of us were too young or unable to play at certain times for multiple reasons. we may have been unwell or extremely sick, not had the money to purchase the battle pass, not had the time to complete it, or simply not heard of or been interested in the game.
one thing i know for sure, is that they will listen to the players eventually. the way fortnite is evolving day by day, becoming this “metaverse” with such a vast audience, they know this would be a smart move. we’ve just got to wait for them to find the best way to do it. it’ll take a lot of careful planning, much paperwork (with expired collabs), etc. one thing i know for sure is that if all of us believe that this can happen, it will 100%. i know it & i hope reading this gave you some hope 💖💖
let’s continue to post about this and get fortnite to hear us out, loud and clear! many other games have done so and it’s worked out very well for them. fortnite, come on!! 🙏🏼✨
Im tired of the "it makes my account less valuable" excuse. I played from season 1-7. Before there was a chapter 2. I have some good skins. I missed out on every single crossover because i stopped playing fortnite before the first crossover. Just started playing again this season. I want to be able to buy those battle passes... i want carnage, rick, peter, deadpool, darth vader, etc... from what ive seen most of the people who have those skins dont even use them!!! I wanna be able to earn those skins too... i would literally pay 10 bucks for every battle passe ever released right now!!! If call of duty mobile and halo infinite can do it, i think epic should too. Imagine how much money they would instantly make if they let us buy old battle passes too... i mean its a no brainer for them. I dont think they will lose any money at all. They will get more. Why would it stop peopel from buying new passes?! Im gonna buy them all!!!

Would you rather buy Peter Griffin like 3 months later for 1,500+ v-bucks or would you rather buy the battle pass for 1,000 and get a bunch of extra emotes, skins, extra v-bucks, etc.

I hope they remove exclusivity from BP. As someone that had to explain a friend new to the game why he couldn’t have Vader or Mando his fav characters as SW fan or a Marvel fan why he couldn’t have Spidey, Wolverine or Deadpool it is no fun at all. If they sell the items in the store o put the old BP available without vbucks in it and probably expensive I don’t understand the problem as the season pass gives you a lot of cosmetic and 150% of the vbucks paid. People must remember they are just pixels and their accounts are valued nothing as is illegal to sell them. One day Fortnite while close and everything will disappear as dust in the wind.

Exactly what I’ve been thinking. They can allow players to buy old battle passes, but of course remove the v bucks that you would earn from them
But the thing is people technically can get old battle passes through account buying which has been a thing for quite awhile now with how bland the battle passes have been lately. But the downside with this is that people sale the accounts for very large prices and the possibility of the person you bought from snatching the account if you don’t secure enough to where it’s just not worth spending the money, but some people are willing to spend $1k to $5k just to get renegade or black knight.

I made a post about this on the FortniteBR Subreddit and it caused such an uproar, my post got taken down after almost an hour. So many rarity gatekeepers were pissing themselves.
I don’t mind if they rerelease them. But there’s just so much that’ll go wrong if they do. I feel like the day they do, fortnite is ending very soon.
Currently Battle pass skins have value because they don't come back, and become more valuable as seasons go on.
I think all the battle passes should be available for purchase but requiring the completion of all newer battle passes.
This way after completing the current battle pass you would continue/begin leveling up the most recent unfinished battle pass
I think they should release Old battle passes only for people who played at the time of the battle passes and couldn't complete them

I feel ur pain, I started playing back in season 2 as well. I didn't finish the battle pass, I only got to teir 35 out of 70... I'd do anything to sum how finish that 1 battle pass.. they should do something ab letting u finish a battle pass u already bought.

What’s the point in buying a battle pass skin for exclusivity if they’re just going to release a better version of the skin. I could go on about how dumb exclusivity is in a digital market and how it doesn’t work especially in Fortnite’s case. The arguments people make usually come from people who are tricked into thinking that limited time things means we want it more when in reality it’s forcing you to buy it; Short term gain one might say.
They did do that with The Ageless and The Ageless Explorer

There's triple the amount of new players than old players now unlike them everyone should have some sort of chance to get these skins whether if you were here during it or after they would lose money at the same time would make more money at the same time
If Epic did bring them back, I'd love to see that, but how I'd do it is bring them back, but give the people who brought the Battlepass back then would be given an extra edit style for free.

I don’t mind old battle passes not coming back. Everything that released before I started playing wasn’t anything I cared much about, and the only thing I’ve missed in a battle pass since was the full gold agent peely, which was nearly impossible to get. If we could go back I would probably go back to that season just to fully max him out, but other than that I don’t really care all that much

If we were able to buy old battle passes or skins, I'd just like The Reaper skin simply because of how clean it is, sure I have the real John Wick from Season 9 and I know there was a lot of people who had The Reaper agitated by a reskin. In short, I like the look of The Reaper skin, and in my opinion having both John Wick and The Reaper which I don't really see the "John Wick" look of The Reaper. Take my money Epic, I'd only want that skin.
Problem is lawsuits they go back on the exclusive advertising they'll be sued to oblivion for false advertising its sad but they did it to themselves

How about an easy method. Bring back old battlepasses but give the og players an exclusive style. Simple I’ll be happy with that I don’t mind bringing back the og skjns

So how i would want it to work is:
You can have two battle passes at a time BUT you can only get a previous battle pass if you bought the current seasons you can only have 1 previous battle pass per season and if you bought 2 passes you would get 10 battle stars per level instead of only 5

@@panicbuttonmemes I'd be willing to spend it. Yeah, it might cost more than the original battle pass price. But it helps their wallets and helps us get the old cosmetics and emotes we want. I mainly want Predator and Deadpool because that's before my Fortnite time. And Optimus Prime because I was busy that season and had no time.

Something I think would be cool is if for example you owned the season 2 battle pass but didn’t finish after you earn tier 100 in the current season you can go back to the old battle pass you owned and your tiers past 100 can be spent on the old battle pass you owned. Edit: Oh dang he said my exact situation/idea I also didn’t finish season 2 battle pass lol.

My personal take on this is: OG collab skins, emotes, and maybe contrails SHOULD return. Fortnite original skins (Black Knight, Midas...) could remain strictly for the OGs, who bought the pass back then. But when it comes to collabs and emotes, I think its just sad that just because you didnt play a few years ago, you can never get it.
Imagine now, lets say someone is a big Family Guy fan. He wants to play as Peter Griffin (the main character of the series). He has to skip work, spend hours on the game or money. Potencially ignore family problems, financial problems, etc just so he could play his favourite character, because he would be lost for ever if he didnt do that? Thats just sad and stupid. And reskins/bootlegs is not the same. Also F*CK value. Epic themselves said buying and selling accounts is banned, I could give a single F if a skin is worth 5$ or 500$. Not everything in life is about money

what i would like is if people who bought the battle passes back in chapter 1 and didnt max them out could have another chance. For example, i started playing in season four, and was only able to get to about tier 35. i more than anything else in the game want the groove jam emote, since napoleon dynamite is my favorite movie, but i’ll never get that chance.

so the Ogs don't complain, it's just epic bringing the old skins back to a store exclusively just for the battle pass and when you buy which skin, for example the drift, you would win tasks that when you finish if you would have the final stage *And not to have complaints* everyone who got the old skins at launch, for example calamity, omega and etc., got an exclusive style or exclusive coloring then everyone would be happy

I think Fortnite Should Allow players that played in specific seasons to buy the battle pass For Example: if someone started in Chapter 1 season 4 and played that season but didn’t have money to get the battle pass and missed out on it they can get eligible to still buy it And Fortnite can make money from it and the cosmetics will still be exclusive to those who played that season
this is something they'd do for the money lol probably make a lot too
I know im late to the comments but I have an idea. Instead of resetting levels every season, they reset every chapter. Instead of a battlepass section, it becomes a "Battlepasses" section. This would mean you can go into a hall of multiple battlepasses, AKA all of them in order from the latest battlepass all the way to "battlepass 1" which would be season 2 chapter 1 battlepass combined with the chapter 1 season 1 season shop. This way you could complete EVERY pass and it would be a MAJOR flex.
That would be a fun grind lol
They should bring back ones that u want most or that u specifically missed out on and let u grind for them, the new battle passes are seriously boring now

Its a really controversial take for the ppl who play the game religiously. But honestly even if the cosmetics were to return. People would get bored and want the next thing. And i feel like most people dont care for the looks. Everyone just cares about exclusivity. And if that disappeared then no one would care honestly. Fortnite should of pulled a halo with the battlepass but its far to late into its life cycle for that too happen

Its a way better system tbh. Its like if you actually want the cosmetic you’ll grind for it. Instead of only buying and grinding something because it will be exclusive

What if, everytime you get level 200 in a battle pass you get a free "time token" (which would fit into the story considering the recent time travel theme) that allows your to revist old battle passes 1 time but you can buy time tokens from the store (of course). This would be fair since it shows you actually ran the map and makes you worthy of getting the battle pass
So I have an idea on this and maybe it's a dumb one but let me know. But what if you could trade certain battlepass skins that you did earn from current battlepasses that you bought and completed for skins that you didn't earn in other battle passes so whatever one you trade can not be obtained again after you give it up. So, you could still make the ones you decide to give up still pretty rare for the people who wish to just keep them but then you could buy a new battelpass earn all the rewards but there might be a skin you don't care for then you can trade that one for an old battlepass skin that you do like and never get back the one you decided to trade in.

@panicbuttonmemes that's what I mean if you missed out on old battlepasses that you wish you got skins from then you buy the current one and earn all the rewards and let's just say you don't like Peter griffin but you know you have to earn him in order to trade him for lets just say groot or somthing like that. So my point being is that it makes you want to but it earn all the rewards knowing there might be ones you don't want but you know you can use them as currency for the older skins.
And maybe even having the rarity of it play a role as well like you can only trade color for color so purple from a current pass for a purple from an older battlepass.
Like for me for example I don't care that much for anime so I would buy an all anime battlepass knowing I could trade the skins for lets just say the marvel skins but then I would never get a chance at getting the anime skins back so amongst the people who love anime those skins are still rare. At least this way it's a choice you can make to forfeit stuff you have earned for stuff you want even tho you can never get it back it still puts the ball in your court a little bit more and your still giving up somthing in order to get what you would like to have.
My idea would be for them to rerelease the BP skins to the shop, but have it so that only you can see it. For everyone else it just shows as a default skin. So you lose bragging rights but for those of us who just want to play as Superman we still can

There's the problem. No one's account is worth anything. Unless you're trying to sell it, which is against the rules and can land you a nice juicy ban, in which case you'll lose your precious skins anyway. All exclusive skins are good for is bragging rights, and bragging rights are worth squat. People will be impressed for a couple of minutes, and then move on. It won't be the end of the world if Epic lets those less fortunate newcomers have a chance at getting some of these old skins. If you unlocked the skin through the Battle Pass, then Epic can give you a special skin style as proof. That's less offensive than gatekeeping an entire skin because you didn't play the game at the right time.
That would low key feel like communism 😂

Call me spoiled for this I don’t care. It’s not our fault. People did not get it when it came out. I’ve been playing Fortnite for a while. I have every battle pass, and I have completed every battle pass since since I was seven years old -(since game came out)

Like can we talk about how terrible the anime skins look. Like Dragon Ball Z are the only ones that actually look good. But all the other Anime Collabs- are ass. Like Naruto, Bakugou, a lot doesn't make sense. AND NARUTO DOESN'T EVEN HAVE BLUE EYES IN FORTNITE. Bakugou looks like shit- I could go on and on but it pisses me off. Yes I buy them but I don't even use them because of how shit they look.
