I know people will probably tell me that Sparkle Specialist was part of the Boogie Down Contest as a reward so they can return when in reality, it was just a one off thing & nothing else. She was just a prize for that Contest & I didn't see anyone complaining about it because it was FREE for those who got it that way! Anyways, do you think Battle Pass Cosmetics should return? @@NINJAGOREAL "They" didn't keep Travis, Travis is a collab skin, and he can say when the the skins will return. Battlepasses are (Mostly) Original cosmetics. Epic doesn't keep many things exclusive, renegade raider cannot come back not because epic wants to, because they cant and it was part of a whole separate section of the shop that will never return. In 2020, a Save The World pack "Metal Team leader" was released into the store after it have gotten released as a 20 dollar bundle. (No more save the world packs have returned due to a controversy, which I think is stupid.)
Travis can come back when Travis wants too, but he likes to keep his stuff exclusive, like he did with his shoe collab

No cuz bp skins are mostly bought cuz they are known to be exclusive, yes it does not say anything to do with them being exclusive but we are so used to it that there is going to be a lot of controversy

All they should do is bring back all the skins for full item shop price (legendary skin = 2000, etc.) minimum a year after the battle pass ends so if you got the battle pass you’d have early access and get it for way cheaper than if you just waited and bought it in the shop

It’s crazy how the mandalorian and grogu are locked to a battlepass. Considering how big those characters are it seems crazy that they haven’t made a new one for people to get

So I have an idea on this and maybe it's a dumb one but let me know. But what if you could trade certain battlepass skins that you did earn from current battlepasses that you bought and completed for skins that you didn't earn in other battle passes so whatever one you trade can not be obtained again after you give it up. So, you could still make the ones you decide to give up still pretty rare for the people who wish to just keep them but then you could buy a new battelpass earn all the rewards but there might be a skin you don't care for then you can trade that one for an old battlepass skin that you do like and never get back the one you decided to trade in.
I feel like the “variants” point doesn’t hold up that great because there are a ton of skins that do not have variants. Maya, Meowskulls, Valor, and more, Calamity took FIVE YEARS to get a variant, and she was from season 6!
If they returned, a system I think would be fair is to bring back all the items in a special shop tab where you can access the original Bp menu and buy skins, pickaxes, even smaller stuff like contrails sprays and load screens. But they’re all for their full price, costing WAY more than a single 950 vbucks, and still way more than if you bought to tier 100. People can get what they want, and og players have all of their items at a far cheaper price. I’d be fine with them keeping super level styles exclusive, no issue there.
But honestly, they should bring back the stuff so people can stop selling accounts as much, Like, if you have stuff that will not come back, of COURSE people will sell accounts, What do you even expect!?
I think it'd be reasonable to release all battlepass skins, only after that said battlepass is 2 years since release. give all original owners of these skins an exclusive variant, and only give the new purchasers the base skin variant, nothing else. they could have a section in the battlepass that will release one returning skin with a bundle for their cosmetics and have it go day-by-day, so that whoever is checking daily will see the skin and know that they have to purchase it now or it will be gone for a very long time, potentially.
and btw, this is coming from someone that owns all battlepass cosmetics from chapter 1 seasons 1-10 (I quit after that and only just recently started playing again). I own the black knight and after all these years I dont even run it anymore. I dont even wear it to flex it anymore even though its considered one of the rarest skins in the entire game. I've used it, and I'm done with it. I would be happy to see others enjoy the skin like I did, and all epic would have to do to compensate me is give it an exclusive variant so that I can retain the OG status of playing and grinding during that time of the game. that would satisfy me 100%.
a skin that I am so sad to have missed is the ageless. such a dope skin and I'm sad I'll never be able to use him. yes a new skin came out for him in the item shop but I just dont like it. thats a me issue I think but I know this video makes that point that other skins for that battlepass character may come out, but some people may not like the item shop version for them. its a tricky topic but I know epic could do this and keep a lot of people satisfied.
all in all though, I'd love to see past battlepass skins return for purchases in the item shop. I dont think collabs should ever be put into battlepasses. I believe epic could make more money from people coming into the game knowing that eventually their favorite collab will be obtainable. I'm so sad I dont have some of the skins that came out since I've been gone from the game, and I just want to be able to use some of them. especially the ageless.

@@AnythingLounge first off, no one "grinds" for the standard battlepass cosmetics. There is no grinding to reach level 100, you literally just played the game. That's not "grinding".
For reference, I have two accounts. I got to level 145 on it in like two weeks. I played consistently with like 4-5 games a day, plus I played some creative maps in between. Now the other account I had lost access to. After playing on the one account and getting to level 145, I contacted epic games to recover that account. This once lost account is now my primary account and is level 160.
What I'm saying is I didn't grind for these skins. They were easy to get and I just so happened to be playing the game at the time this set of skins were obtainable. I don't feel special owning these skins. I just played the game like anyone who was playing the game at this time.
So releasing the base skin for purchase is fair, the people that played the game during that time and played more than others to get the variants for the skins are still compensated for their efforts. They got well over 100 cosmetics for the price of $9 while others will be paying upwards of $20 or more to get less than original owners.
Chapter 1 battle passes were not anything like this. The old system basically required you to play almost every day and complete every weekly challenge if you wanted to reach tier 100.@@NieR.Ver.
me personally my two favorite skins in the game (imo) is DJ yonder and Yonder, I’m sad since i stopped playing 1 season before they came out and came back at the end of chapter 2 season 1. Like you said I feel like if they just add an exclusive style to OGs then it should be fine since the same was done to skull trooper/ ghoul trooper. Not to mention the other cool really skins such as drift, omega, black knight, etc. I wish epic would add old battle passes back as a separate pass included with the normal battle pass but we will probably never win this “argument”. I feel like this would be a losing battle since a lot of fortnite “OGs” would have a riot if anyone else has fun in the game and rocks there favorite skin they have wanted since they started playing.

I’m down for whatever. Both sides have good arguments. Though it would be cool to get Drift on my new PS account, aka my favorite and first ever skin.
Simple deal, if you were half way or more through that seasons battle pass then you should be able to finish it
They should return them, add some extra styles for the people who owned them or make one style exclusive for the og owners, and thats it, end of story

as someone who did play during chapter 1 season 3 i think they should rerelease battle passes i never got the chance to get s3 s4 and s5 battle passes in chapter 1 and i just want drift
As someone who started playing last year (haha I'm new gen laugh at me [or don't idc]) I can confirm that it is an actual pain in the ass to not have some collab skins in your locker. I would like it if at least, at the very least epic would make a variant of some skins like Spider Gwen (no Jackie does not count shut up) or anything else.

The thing with re-released is that some of them change too much from the original. For example the new Evie skin has blonde hair, a white cost and a light blue shirt. Other than the backbling being kinda similar you don’t look as equal to the original skin. This was a problem with the lux skin too being put in the nostalgia pack. She went from a golden punk to a racer.

I think that 2-3 years after a battle pass releases, everything should be fair game, whether they let you buy and grind out an old pass alongside a current one or sell the cosmetics from battle passes for full price in the shop. I’ve been playing since chapter 1 season 6, and I regret not getting the bp for seasons 6 and 7 but started with 8. I also missed all of chapter 2 and continued with chapter 3 so I missed out on Lara Croft, Mando, and others
I genuinely feel the only time I would think Epic would ever think about re releasing old original Battle Pass skins is like, in nearly a DECADE, if the game is still alive by then, like at a point where there's people who genuinely weren't even born yet to get something like Peely, like THAT far into the future. Anytime soon? I think it's been far too long for them to do it and NOT upset people

The main reason why I want old battle passes to return cuz I used to own but my account got hacked I used to own season 2 clear to chapter 3 but my account got hacked and I lost my account I also had two exclusive skins on that account I had iconik and Galaxy I don't really care about ready or exclusive stuff see to my opinion I bought this stuff and I would like to get it again on my new account I would love to get these cosmetics these cosmetics should not stay exclusive exclusive also I don't really like remix skins I don't really like them anyway especially one of them is like iron man zero I want the regular iron Man I used to own him I would love to get him back I don't want iron Man zero send them and half of these other things I don't want them and I also want my emotes I had on my main account my favorite emote I want back and I love using was the robot emotes I want the stuff I used to have it on my main account that's reason why I think exclusive sucks even the same thing with iconic in Galaxy I didn't get them skins because I know they was going to be exclusive I got them skins cuz I like them and also someone got them for free
This is what they should do epic knows when you created your account i think its fair enough to have a chance to purchase or continue a pass if you were playing during that season and seasons you weren't playing you can't have a chance that's the fairest solution they could do.

what you think of the item shop for the past 2 months
I own so many battle passes and I would be completely fine if epic re-released the battle-passes after a period of time. Mainly because there are a bunch of cosmetics that will remain rare like my astrojack skin
As well as the rare style for the ghoul trooper and skull trooper
Putting main characters (collab) in the battlepass is a scummy move by Epic
I’m fine with them not returning battle passes however they should really give people who bought a certain pass/passes ( like me) the entire thing once the season ends since we didn’t get what we paid for, I don’t think that’d be unfair to anyone and I’d think a lot of people who appreciate it since not everyone has or has had the time to grind out the battle pass.
They can't really add Chapter 1 battle pass skins back since when you were purchasing the pass, they claimed that all of the items were exclusive and would never return after the end of the battle pass.

Gotta be honest was never a fan of collabs in battle passes always knew sooner or later this would be a problem given that collabs should have stay as item shop only so people can buy them later since chapter 2 season 2…at the time it was cool but now I’m tired of it..I all for selling the collabs but as for original na they reskins anyway so yeah that’s how I feel about it
I missed out on getting Wolverine from Chapter 2 Season 4 because the wolverine npc boss was so annoying to defeat. I agree that collabs in battlepasses should be in the itemshop.
i started playing fortnite not too long ago, there are a lot of characters and collab characters that convinced me to get into the game (also bc i also wanted to try a shooter game), but... yeah, almost all the characters that convinced me to get into the game are from old battle passes, not quitting because of that, the game itself is fun and i can play normally without these skins, but i would be happier if i could get them, i wouldn't mind if i had to pay the double of what they were originally worth
I own Seaaon 4 BP but I think if they decided to bring back old BATTLEPASSES, like pull a Halo Infinite and be able to buy any battlepass, they’ll get a lot of money and it’d be a smart move.

This would work because people would still buy the battlepass in order to get the collab skins at a cheaper price and they would play to ensure they unlock the skins in time before they have to pay much more to get the skins

Ifiremonkey already confirmed that they save the data of your levels for every season so it is possible
The battle pass HAS changed over time so Epic Games would have to revamp a TON of the passes to fit the UI/ways of leveling up (mainly Ch1S2 - CH2S6 and CH2S7 - CH3S4)
Something like this is a BIG change and would probably come at the start of a new chapter (just like how CH2 Introduced leveling up passed 100 and CH3 Introduced leveling up in creative maps)
(I want this change really bad because I was 1 tier away from getting Ultima Knight in season X and never got close to unlocking Rick in CH2S7)
Bro yes letting you complete battle passes you weren’t able to finish is a fair way to balance it because I never got the chance to complete ch 2 s5 and c2 s7 and 8 because of either wifi problems or personal stuff to do I really hope they do this one day.

It’s not going to happen sadly. They would get sued instantly. The reason why they got away with the boogie down sparkle specialist return is because it was like a challenge thing and it was a big accomplishment to win anyway.

Here's my take, return EVERY Battle Pass skin to the Item Shop at full price, minimum after 1.5 years, and give the OG owners an exclusive style(s) and lock the Bonus Styles (From the Bonus Rewards Tab or the other one) and keep them only for OGs

I agree with this take. I personally wouldn’t care too much if they brought any other battlepass skins. I definitely think if battlepass skins return they should give an extra style for original owners. But keeping skins like darth vader and Deadpool exclusive is just dumb. They should put them in battlepasses but have them return after the season. It’s a good deal and makes them not exclusive.

@@ElipseWulfy *face palm* of course it wasn‘t a battle pass skin but it was a rare skin since it wasn‘t in the shop for years so no it wasn‘t just like any other regular item shop skin. And it would have the same result. When the battle pass skins release everybody cops them and the interest isn‘t given anymore. So wouldn‘t make sense. Theres enough alternate lookalike skins anyways now.

If you played in the early seasons / first chapter you would know pretty much every player used to shit their pants when seeing a skull trooper or hearing the reaper pickaxe. Maybe you didn‘t but many did, even streamers. You saw a skull trooper and you knew they were good. All i wanted to point out with that fact is that the rate skin‘s that didn‘t return gave them some kinda boost in value and their reputation if you know what i mean. And when they return that is gone. I hope you understand my point.

It literally isn't. Halo Infinite's system is one of the best ive seen in terms of battle pass systems. Battle Passes are a way to keep the player playing and hyped about what they can earn trough just playing. You don't really buy a battle pass to get exclusive skin, you buy them to have something to look forward to while leveling up.

You have replied to every top comment saying the same shit. You're right it is just a skin so why be so protective of it. Eventually, the majority of the player base will be kids who were freaking toddlers in the OG days. They will ask "Daddy, why can't I play as Iron Man?". And their father will reply: "You should have been cranking 90's instead of learning the ABC's like a dumbass.".
TLDR: Let the kids be happy and play as their favorite character.

@@cobrajuicetin I’m not obsessed, I achieved them virtual outfits by playing through a battle pass during a certain time. If they start to sell them again, battle passes become pointless.

You also only pay a measly 950 V-Bucks for it while the one that missed out on it has to pay full price for every single item. If we imagine someone wanting the entirety of the Season 3 Battle Pass, that would almost certainly cost him atleast 75$, while you got everything for 10$.

@sinewyminotaur great vid but i think they should release old battlepasses cosmetics but just the base versions, so that mean you wouldn't get all the extra stuff og people have and lastly you were wrong about wolverine because alot of people cant get they hands on the skin because even crew skins haven't came back like they said they was so alot of people missed out on wolverine twice, and that's crazy if you like marvel especially.
