In the last few months I've had two road ragers (same day actually) and some weirdo who chased me around on some dirt roads. The weirdo literally said he was going to follow me home and tried to run his truck into the side of my car as I tried to run. When I told the sheriff I almost shot him at that point the sheriff told me I was lucky I didn't because I would be in jail. Doesn't matter that the person intentionally tried to run their truck into my passenger door, endangering my passenger. It ever happens again I probably won't report it and whoever it is will just be slumped on a dirt road
I don’t even reside in Florida but I really wish more Sheriffs took their job as seriously as Sheriff Judd. He truly takes his job seriously when it comes to protecting and informing the community.
We have a few in Florida but Judd has the best description of the events! His ability to explain stupid makes him great!

I'm a armed security officer: G in central FL. I'm currently involved in a pending felony case. Suspect has a 3rd degree felony charge(more may be pending). Battery on a LE officer or special officer(security). He's in his late 50s. He also claims to have 3, three PhDs 🎓. 🤔

Bad people look at what the rest of us are giving a pass and gauge their own behavior accordingly. The more our social standards go down the worse bad people behave. But we don't want our fun violent video games to be taken away. We're a planet of 2 year olds who love to complain.
That's why I carry $500 cash on me at all times.
I pulled onto a dirt road the other day and there was a truck parked on it. So I went to go around and as I went around, the guy said hey. So I stopped and asked if everything was OK. He told me I was on his road (public road) and he was going to follow me home because he didn't like me in his neighborhood. I then hit the gas but my 4cyl was no match for his truck, he steered his truck in front of my car and cut me off. So I drove up on the wind row and kept going anyway. He was inches from my bumper even though I was doing 65 on a dirt road. When I reported this to the sheriff and said I almost stood my ground he told me I would be in jail had I shot the guy. So we have a police force that encourages people to do things like that.
If the law was observed properly, that man with about 25 different arrests would not be out on the street now if we had a criminal justice system that punished these people instead of releasing them back into the population

I always take the high road when it comes to road rage incidents. You never know what the other person is capable of. It’s not worth anyone losing their life over. Especially, if we both exercise our 2A rights.
In my day-to-day travels to work, I've had several near-road rage incidents and I always slow down until the other car drives away. I always assume the other guy might be armed, no matter how pissed I am..I'm twice as careful if I have my wife & little girls in the car, because if I ever decided play their game, they could wind up being the real losers. It just ain't worth it in the long run, I have too much to lose.
This wasn't road rage, this was just another black dude being jealous of white dudes and their trucks, style etc

Grady Judd is one of the best Sheriffs l’ve seen. He has so much respect for the victims his team members and the public. And he educates us all. What a shame not all Law enforcement are not the same as this man.
Except for the fact that He won’t get bodycams for his department, which is a huge transparency issue as government officials with power and authority over the rest of society, and internal investigations done by peers and colleagues in the brotherhood.
His terrible excuse is privacy concerns, as if they don’t control what gets edited and released, and as if any other department in the country uses that same excuse to avoid transparency
He is also respectful of the criminals and the use of the law. Impressive all around.

after hearing that the one guy shot through the windows of the truck from his car, it tells me he absolutely has done this before and I bet that gun they got will prove to be linked to many other shootings. The sheriff also says the shooter has an extensive criminal record so that also tells me absolutely he killed before and got away with it, not to mention the 1000s of crimes he committed over the years.
I said the same thing. He never made any attempt to contact authorities, instead drove home. Hopefully they connect him and the weapon to some unsolved late night/early morning murders, because that's what this is, a murder.
He has a long criminal record, but none were violent offenses! Small fighting charges are considered nuisance crimes. This seems more of just a crazy person with a license and a firearm. There plenty people like that out here these days. No matter the race/gender!

I take care of my elderly parents who as you can guess stay up really late and sleep really late. This involves me driving back home around 2am sometimes and YOU WILL BE SURPRISED at how many people actively engage in road rage with ALL LANES OPEN and not another car in sight. I have had people cut me off at close range on a completely open road with empty three lanes, brake check me, high beam me in the slow traffic lane with no other car in sight and three other lanes open. Driving home around that time in Houston is a death wish and my priority lays in avoiding drunk drivers…this doesn’t surprise me.people have no control over their emotions and treat their vehicles like weapons.

I have responsibilities of elderly parents, a random ass driver is nothing but a stranger to me who cannot control his or her emotions. In Houston it’s best to assume every driver has a gun in their car and think about it when you get cut off.

problem is a lot of people when they make a mistake on the road don't act apologetic to the other driver and so that other driver feels a certain way thinking that driver had total disregard for them and thus starts to get angry and this is when road rage begins.

Whenever I start a drive, I always assume someone is out to kill me on the roads. Every vehicle has an ego, grudge or potential rage attached to it. Proactively plan, anticipate and be aware. Your life depends on it.

I've been back in Orlando where I was born and raised, after having lived out in California for much of my life. I've already heard a horn behind me, the moment after the light turned green, and been honked at when I slowed down to make a turn, even using my turn signal.

One of them folks held me up screaming bloody murder because I happen to lightly bump his front bumper whilst trying to park in a very tight spot. I listen to him ranting and screaming through my window dumbfounded. He even waived off his hood buddy to gang up on me. It took him about a good 2 minutes to calm somewhat down after I did not really say anything to him. I have pretty high tolerance to verbal abuse so he got away scuff free. I guess we both did. However most folks out there do not have that kind of tolerance, and also nowadays people fuses are blowing left and right. So eventually they all meet their match. Too bad this man did not have anything at hand to defend himself with. Deescalate, and get out of the way if you can.
You admit you violated the law due to your lack of driving skills (and judgment as to where your car can fit), yet you seem confused about why someone would be upset. I’m sure you’re assumption that you did nothing wrong further instigated your VICTIM. Your ignorance is no excuse for you to continue operating a motor vehicle. Yup, I've seen road rage happen in fron of me while driving on a 3 lane town road. People go absolutely crazy for innocent mistakes.
There was a big 4X4 that drifted over into the lane next to a small car, and the car driver honked at him. Well, the guy in the 4X4 slams on his brakes and swerves back into his lane, then he got behind the small car at the next traffic light that was red. The other traffic was flying through wherever they were going when all of a sudden the big 4X4 crashes into the small car and shoves him out into the intersection and the poor guy in the little car was hit by another car going fast, right on the driver side door causing it to actually bend in half. After traffic stopped, the big 4X4 just drove off like nothing happened. Holy crap, the driver was alive and yelling for help. Everyone around was on the phone to 911 and police and emergency crews were there in 2 minutes.
They caught the 4X4 driver and from what I've heard, the victim has recovered after 3 years of rehabilitation and operations. Lucky to be alive. I dont know what happened with the 4X4 driver, dang it.
I was never called to court to testify against him. I think they had plenty other witnesses that were even closer than i was.
