- Twelve people have been arrested in an undercover operation targeting child predators in Polk County, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

I have vivid memories, as a young child, of men that would make sexual comments, would flash themselves, would be masturbating, or the time a man was caressing my shoulders when no one was looking, etc. This is a MAJOR problem in society and it's not addressed enough. Why? Because young children often don't talk about it, because children are afraid to speak out- they are a vulnerable population that is PREYED upon, and need our help. Exactly let's not be forgetful, bias or prejudice against just the men predators. Up here in Ohio a mom only by birth thought it would be a good idea to prostitute her 10 or 12 year old daughter to fund her drug habit but the only good that came from that situation is she got sentenced to 50+ years. I wish more police departments were like these guys.i do feel for them due to what those officers have to watch, listen, read what those predators are describing what ugly things they want to do to a child that doesn't know any better and thinks they know everything at that young age. I'm sure it takes a tole on them and it's messed up that they even have to do what there doing just to keep everybody's kids safer, but I do appreciate it and I'm with him on the cell phone and internet thing I have 6 kids and I stay at home my husband works and we did not buy ANY of our kids cell phones we have a home phone and 1 computer in the main room in the home and I was always doing something in that room where I could easily see that computer screen. But when covid happened it changed alot I used to be able to take the internet away as punishment and with schools switching to devices and online learning I can no longer really do my job all my kids have these devices and I have to have internet in order for them to do there homework and it really made my job a whole lot harder with 6 kids and a home to run and a husband and if I use the hotspot the school provides its not enough data for all of them and lags so bad that my kids are literally just sitting on the kitchen table fighting or playing with each other instead of actually learning something. The high school my kids go to literally rely on the students having a cell phone for there math, photo classes and mine do not have phones and I tell the teachers at the registration day I'm very involved with my kids lives and my kids do not have cell phones I drop them off and pick them up from school, practices and games due to talking time with them and in the car they can't walk away from a conversation and they can't avoid a conversation due to a phone in there hands and it's worked great for all our kids so far still got 3 left in school and at home I do feel bad sometimes due to the teachers at the high school telling the students to pull out there cell phones to use the calculator for certain math stuff or to take pictures on there cell phones for their photography class or for the school yearbook committee and my children are being stared at like there weird or to poor to have a phone, it's not even like that kids these days don't want to even talk to people anymore they want to send a text well guess what it's called sending a letter it may take longer to get to the person but it's the same thing and it's actually cheaper then a text message.
Sending an electronic message is cheaper and faster if you have a cheap phone. And it's better for the environment because you don't have a giant mail truck filled with handwritten letters. I understand not wanting kids to be super immersed in the internet. I grew up with the internet and I had to learn the hard way how to avoid scams and messed up situations by myself for the most part. We just need to educate everyone on how to be safer
I highly recommend homeschooling. Best decision I ever made. My kids are so happy, learning well, and plenty of time to play and spend with friends and in sports.

It shouldn't even be necessary to explain why that's ridiculous in every sense. And it's apparent he believes his officers can do no wrong period and even since that's been proven wrong.

When I was 12 years old, our family was on vacation in Daytona Beach and some guys tried to kidnap me. Thankfully, a man named James who worked at the hotel we were staying at, helped me from being taken. Parents, don't let your kids out of sight! I was just going back to our room, and was followed and cornered by one of the men, and the other two men were in a van with the side door open, ready to take off with me. I'm sure your kids might think you are being over protective, but that's ok, because there is reason to be.
That must have been so horrifyingly traumatizing; I am so very sorry....and thank God for James, your rescuer. Have you made contact with him since the abduction attempt? Were the men caught?

I may be wrong in this situation, but generally you do not make contact with anyone after the fact. Shitty as it is to say, if that’s all that happened that day, those guys almost certainly drove away without a second look from anyone. This stuff happens way way too many times per day, & nobody bats an eye. Even then, they don’t have much to get them on that point unless they literally seen it. Majority of these guys that do this shit do not get caught. It’s just that simple, as bad as it is to say it’s true.

When my kids were still underage, the only computer we had was mine and it was in the living room facing towards the seating. They didn't have phones until they turned 18 and bought their own. Their friends thought I was too strict and a killjoy. I don't regret it for one minute.

So far in the past 12 months, I have seen over 30 videos of Sheriff Judd and his team expose Pedophiles and Murderers. Again, this saves potential victims. It is truly heartbreaking that these sickos have made many into victims.
The scary thing about it is that if 12 got caught how many more are still out there. No such thing as an overprotective parent. Parents have the rights to know what’s going on at children’s schools, their online activity, and during their after school programs. The predators are right in front of the kids.

This Sheriff is a true example of how a law enforcement officer/deputy is supposed to be. One that actually cares about his or her job, going after these criminals and sickos as we have here and holding them accountable for their actions.
