Thank you so much for these videos. I just picked up an E90 that has a number of issues. Your videos have been awesome in helping me get the car sorted.
I would suggest a backup in case you got a bad SP-Daten. The process makes a folder with the date of the backup.
Kind of at my wits end here. I have watched your video several times, updated per instructions via coding tool, but no assembly data show, only blank field. I tried importing using Winkfp upper tool bar. It runs to 94% three times, which appears to be updating, but when finished still no assy data. I checked the ediabas and nfs and the files are present, but winkfp stills shows no assy data. Any direction for me? additonally I tried installing entire bmw tools set on an old laptop, made it through entire installation and everything except winkfp seems to be working. when I start the program, i get an "coapikflit:initialization error 1020, 1040, 3017, and 9960. please help if you can. Much appreciated.
I have used ncs expert many times, but to day, I got a lot of error cods, fault vin, following feature is invalid for FA $829, I delete this,sometimes I get in some time I don’t and coapi 2021 data transmission interface/control unit disturb CAS. Plz help me out
I did the bimmer lab flash on my 325i and I keep getting the signature verification error. What am I doing wrong?

Legend! Thanks Dean. After our chat about ISTA P and better to use NCS expert. I had got so far with the learning, but when I tried to write to the car it didn't work. Now download sp daten to update.
It’s not to do with Datens mate it’s to do with your software itself I have came across many many many people with that same exact issue that’s the common one will not write to the car

@@TheJanakev to be honest mate I try and limit the information given as you are probably aware I have a brain box filled with bmw tech and what to do how to do it work arounds the lot but given that kind of information out is what can kill my business running out of RUclips I have a few videos up already which I have which im thinking I gave to much away and thinking if to post or not to post as this info is valuable and just like you mate there is 100s wanting to try the same as me thats why I keep the knowledge I learnt to myself and don't share

Awesome video, this really helped me out a lot. I was trying to code a '11 E70 X5 with NCS, and I kept having an issue where it would only read a small selection of ECU modules, but even when trying to code those few it would open, it would just throw a CABD error. Hopefully this works!
Hi there, thanks for the videos. I have an e85 and I believe I have the daten files updated. I'm trying to get into the DSP_E85.C02 module and I'm getting a COAPI-2041 error when I try to read the ECU. I can read the DSP_E85.C01 just fine. Any ideas that could get me going in the right direction? Thanks!
Any help please? I have a 2007 BMW 530i Manual. was trying to update the EGS in winkfp but before I can do that I have the UIF up and it does not show the EGS. I have updated all daten files thu bmw coding tool. I’m lost please help! Thank you in advance.
Hi, thank you for the video, after getting the Daten files, and updating the computer (NCSExpert etc.) how to go about updating the modules (in my case, a 2010 E60 build date sept 2009, i'm trying up update the CIC to the latest version, i do not have the "update software" in the iDrive), is the icom a must ? or can it be done through the K+DCAN USB wire?. thanks a million.
Hey brother why is it when I try to go to choose my datens no matter what I try it tells me invalid Daren folder
I'm able to run an update, but I only have E89 chassis code daten, because I have an E90, but when I look in my NCSEXPER data folder and EC_APPS daten folder, they're not very populated like yours. My theory is that I don't have any of the correct daten files as I only have just the single E89 daten file, no others. Have you seen this issue before? and do you have any recommendations? Thanks

i am replacing my e60 egs module and it is not visible in inpa when i search the UIF. any idea how to make it show? i tried 3 egs modules, my original shows but others do not.
where do i get the sp daten files for the e92?
when i try to connect to my e61 in acs expert, it only reads my car vin but not my fa, the error code is $724

Hi there, been trying to get my ncs working so I can change vo from auto to manual on my e46.
When In ncs expert, load profile - choose chassis- choose ecu -
Then I get error
“faulty vin”
COAPI-2000 :fehler in EDIBAS etc
has loads of writing underneath. Repeating the COAPI - 2000 .... at the end each one has kmb - ews etc after each one is this a daten file problem?

No it is not this is not for tuning for that you need different software
once you get the latest version of sp daten files of the net and unzip them, where you do put the folder of unzipped dates files. You have to find the updated files in order to update?
If your using zipped daten files mate trust me that will brick your Ecu’s if you don’t believe me go and use them the Datens that are free online are extremely old I’m talking about 10 years old Datens should not be in a zipped folder

Having a problem reading the vin on ncs expert, it’s giving me an invalid vin message. Followed your update procedure of the daten files , and it’s saying it’s not a valid sp daten folder when select from my c drive . Thanks in advance for your help

I replace my bad ecu with a used one .I an getting the following error message when completed "ews immobiliser protection against tampering Response implausible".I also did a cas alignment and that did not work. it is an 2011 x5 33i twin turbo. e70 /N55motor can u help me solve this problem. thank
Mate you will need to send your cas and dme to me to have it done I can do it but not something that can be done on the car you cannot just swap a ecu from any car it doesn’t work like that it has to be paired with the car and all has to be done on a bench you cannot do this with your average software
Hi there, i keep getting vin faulty error and a few other copai 2000 errors. Soon as i select the CAS this error comes up. I have updated the Daten files like ur video shows. Any other thing i should try to get rid of this error

Is it a Tool32 you are using here? If so, my coding tool looks completely different from the one that you have. Could you tell me please, is it a different version? My version 4.0.3.
It's the bmw coding tool not tool 32. It should be in the main file and likely did not upload to the main screen like the rest do..

I found the latest sp-Daten files and they are .rar type files. BMWcoding tool is not recognizing them. What file type will it recognize?

I just used NCS expert and removed 205 and added $2TB in CAS.. and execute job. Now my RPM milage dont work xD...

so i really need some help if possible. i cannot get into modules on this e46 which is no good because i cannot code any modules. in inpa i can read engine codes but i cannot get into airbag or anything else. on ncs i cant get into anything either says vin is faulty and shows all kinds of errors. but i can walk over to my e39 hook up and everything works perfect.

Ok I can help you remotely if you pay and fix this issue I know the problem but it’s not easy and the standard tools you can’t use for this

yep thats what happens dont tell me you got them from bimmergeeks lol my friend if you did I use to provide them with the files they are out of date and corrupt you will do damage to your car flashing old files to cars
these are not cheap and not free so good luck

hi dean i have found you from nathan workshop usa who i have followed from his early days,, i am in france and work on my e39 525 tds also ae34 tds and am almost there with these cars and want to on to later cars now,,,,i has interest into buying and using software on bm,s and wonder i you could guide me along that road and intend to follow you to get my head round if i will be able use this and use a laptop to load this onto, this is a hobby for me a i am retired and will love to get to use this stuff in your world,,,, what are your thoughts ,, best of luck with your site and will be passing it on all my bmw mates in europe,, check me out on facebook
