If I had to right now, Apache is selling used Paulsons from a casino in Luxurious Gary Indiana for less than 1 dollar a chip. You'd have to delouse them yourself. Big fan of the nexgens. I wish I would have picked up a set of blank ones and made custom inlays for them back when they were popular and under .20 a chip. They're a lot sturdier than one would assume. I have a stack that shuffle and drop daily and they still look and feel great. My local room uses ABS plastic slug chips. They have huge tamper proof inlays that make the look a lot better than they have any business. I know you're the "home" poker chip guy. But it would be cool to see you find the weird poker chips that some places use like Borgata (Bud Jones I think), Orange City/Daytona FL (ABS slugs) etc.
@@chasehorton2324 Is it illegal? Probably depends on the state, but I know in at least some places, it actually IS LEGAL as long as the host doesn't take a rake.
I have that exact KEM set of playing cards and was shuffling the black deck as I watched this video! I really like them because they are plastic (cellulose acetate), you can practise card tricks without the fear of bend or rips to your cards. They are a great option for playing with new people not used to handling cards or with children or for use in unclean table environments because they are quite wear resistant. I would recommend them to anyone wanting durable cards for games or practise (to get most shuffle techniques).
I thought after watching your poker chip adventure and all the information you have provided, I would've been able to narrow down what I like and skip buying most samples... Instead, your videos made me buy even more samples to play with. I'm curious if you would ever review card molds ceramics in the future?
Here’s something to keep in mind with the premium chips: they’re an investment. I bought a set of CPC Atlantic clubs and when I put my sample set for sale on pcf it sold literally a minute later. China clay, metal slug, those are all sunk costs. Buying a rack of hsi $5 chips for $180 seems crazy but when I realized I couldn’t use them I listed them on pcf for $200 and they sold within the day.
Thank you so much. I’m looking for a set to get for Christmas because I’ve been playing with “dice chips” for a while and wanted an upgrade. This video was supper helpful. Happy holidays
Great Video! I have been progressing in my Chip sets I started with Dice went to better slug chips (Outlaws) then to China Clays (Dunes) and will probably get a set of ceramics in the near future. I don't play enough to justify the expense of a set from Classic Poker Chips but they are on my wish list. Paulson's are great and if I can get a used set in decent condition for under $2 a chip I might go for it (wishful thinking), thanks for all your advice.
I lived in China for a few years and some coworkers and myself had a weekly home game. Call me a purist, but I didn't join them unless proper chips were used. On a trip to Singapore, I got a set of ceramic ones (Lucky Dragon). I love the feel of them, the different colours, the sound. Seeing all those chips piling up in the middle of the table, shuffling them is as much fun, or more, than the game itself.
Am i the only person who likes nothing on my chips? i feel denomination chips feels so.....limited, i hosted a 25 player tournament with rebuys! 1000 chips i bought in 2004(the standard) we were able to upgrade the chips by rotating to have 3 colour chips, whites became 500, red was 1000, and green was 5k. For me i wanna buy a 600 or 800 set of Full Clay(no metal insert) 11.5g or 13g but my problem is most have the denominations on them, I WANT THEM BLANK! lol and affordable too lol
Thank you for this I've liked & subbed 👍 Over the last year I've been completely obsessed with getting good and learning NLTH... Along with that I've become addicted too collecting Playing cards & Poker chips 😅
To anyone interested in the cheap dice chips, the set sold at Walmart “Cardinal Classics” brand is an even cheaper product than “real” dice chips. Those dice chips are made by various manufacturers but usually are made with a clay composite, whereas the ones sold at Walmart is made with what feels like straight up plastic. Even when they’re cheap chips, if it matters to you, be aware of that difference and make sure your set says it’s clay composite.
So on classic’s website, would their stock real clay American eagle series be better quality or Apache’s heavily used majestic Paulson chips be better?
Just got my first custom order from Tina in a month ago. It is so much nicer to have your own custom chips and not even give people the temptation of cheating. Plus its just really cool
Hi, and thx for the videos. I had many years ago some ceramic chips in the size of 39mm. Now I will buy new one with my own design . Now I see that nearly all ceramic chips have a structor on top. My old one was simple flat. I don't sure I like it. Now I have found a producer that makes ceramic chips that there are flat, without structure. I like it more. Is it a problem with flat chips? Or why all sell with this structure?
Looking at getting a set of 1000 chips and your videos helped me decide on mid-ranged china clays. The problem is that there seems to be one or more denominations out-of-stock for what I need regardless of brand (Milanos, Majestics, Dunes, etc.). How often do places like Apache get new stock in for those chips? Was hoping to get some close to the 9.5g weight if anyone has suggestions!
Hi, I need some help about this and your advice will be much appreciated. Im about to buy a new set of 300 chips. And Im trying to customise it. Ive choosen: 25 - 5000 $ 50 - 1000 $ 50 - 500 $ 75 - 100 $ 75 - 25 $ (starting stack is 20k) Now I must add one roll of 25 chips to the set but I cant decice whether it should be 100 - 25$ and 75 - 100$ or the opposite. There are 5-6 six people in my group playing this game. Can you please suggest me anything about this ?
25 definitely. 6 people with average 16.7 smallest chip per person > 12.5 smallest chip per person. it's just less hassle when people don't go around breaking their chips more often. Ideally for me it's 20 smallest chips per person minimum.
Yo man I need some help so years ago I found a poker chip thinking it was fake so i kept it in my closet for years. Now cleaning out my closet and I found it again and I was wondering it was real or not because it has $5,000 on it but I have no way to knowing its real and how I could redeem it. Could you help me figure this out? Thank you
Never gamble or play poker but always have had a fascinatingly love for poker chips.

If I ever hosted a home game where someone wanted a written 'contract' you can bet they are never getting invited back to my home game.
Yeah that’s bizarro world. It’s like when someone says they’re not a cop before buying weed
For real, before we start this illegal game, can I have proof that you were here with a signature, yeah I’m good lmaooo

I have some Ravenor I've been meaning to pull out. I am most likely going to avoid reviewing the card mold group buys. We'll see. Thanks for watching!

I never usually participate in the cards but I had J2 off suit. I'll take that as a sign
We need you playing Jane
Classic poker chips are undoubtedly wonderful quality, but I prefer the paulson feel for sure.

It is very fun! Best of luck!
which is more premium, clay or ceramic?

Just a warning, after about 4 years my red and yellow Majestics are crumbling to dust. All the other colors seem fine, so far.
Uvažuju o nich, strašně se mi líbí design. Jak je využíváš po 8 měsících? Neleží jen na poličce (což je něco ceho se lehce obávám)?
A diky za video!

Where did you get your custom chips from?
have you already made a video about the "port royal"? the chips come from Australia. would love to hear your opinion on this.
Do you have ?
Some places I get chips:
Apachepokerchips.com
bbopokertables.com

@@ebbflow9686 I'd contact the vendor. Apache has always been really good at responding to questions.
nice video, would be cool if you added sections to the video so you can skip to the part thats interesting for you
Do you know what kind of chips the Linq & Cromwell use? I went a few weeks ago and everyone else seems to use Paulson except them...
Here is some good information. Icon? www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/different-casino-chips-cromwell.21512/
Thank you!!
Thanks 😊
Can’t there just be a video that says, these are the closest thing to a classic paulson chip! Done
Been looking at the Kings Casino chips.. it seems no one is reviewing them. Any bad news on those?

What are your thoughts on the Milano chips vs the majestica?
I like Majestic more, if they are in stock, in my opinion.
Where are the Tigers at?
lol wow I haven't heard PDEs in so long.
I’m thinking of getting majestic but why doesn’t it have 50$? 😢
Casino chip denominations are 1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 25000, 100,000. I don't think you'll ever find a 50.
