    I did it 20 years ago. There is a lot I miss…. And a lot of things I don’t miss.
    If I had to do it over, I would have definitely fled Massachusetts, but I would not have chosen NC (Charlotte area)

    So many people are after all you can still buy homes at reasonable rates and
    North Carolina has a 4.75 percent state sales tax rate, a max local sales tax rate of 2.75 percent

    People always mistake Massachusetts as being only Boston. There's a whole state there. Yes, those of us not in the cities do have salamanders it's not just a southern thing. 70's in Oct is nice but NC also gets hot and humid summers.

      I agree about your Boston statement. I've never lived in or near Boston but my wife grew up there.
      She rarely knows any of the places in central or norther MA, they never mattered to her until she left Boston...now, she'll never go back to living there.
