Just a suggestion from a retired Fire Chief, it would be wise to brush back your tree branches to about three (3) feet from your chimney stack. Other than that, well done young man! 🚒👍😎

Dan, mix baking soda with cooking oil to make a paste to remove the sticker residue. Let sit a few minutes and it should come off easily.

Hi Dan I love following your adventures and that of your family. Maybe you already know this but if not I am sure this will interest you. Johnathin from Lost Lakes lives up your way and is a bad ass when it comes to out door adventures. Your brother Pete will probably find the photograph in Johnathin’s video amazing. I hope you check this guy out. Keep the videos coming.

Dan, please consider putting some kind of coating over the can that you have between the two log chairs. That way you will have it for many years to come. It’s a cool looking can/table and I would hate to see it rust away.

Just curious Dan. Wouldn't it be easier & safer to cut back some of those pines so those needles won't give you that mess (hopefully) on your roof? Also, less chance of a spark from your chimney setting the needles on fire? Just a thought, as we had an issue similar to that and just cut back a few trees. Take care you and your family. Down here in OH sure enjoy your channels. Hope your parents get back on again soon.

That birch tree is amazing with its curling bark. Nice job on the roof. What we we do without our blowers? Smart idea for the needles. Woe it’s blowing. I love those log chairs. Your cabin is getting better and better.
