    Chicken Lazeez BIR Style is on the menu this week.
    This recipe is so simple yet so delicious, once you’ve tried this you will want it again and again and think why have you not had this before. Lazeez chicken is medieum spiced dish but as you will see you can always spice it up, I’ve used Chicken Tikka but you can use pre cooked chicken, pre cooked lamb, veg, prawns, potatoes etc.

    Nice recipe brother, got another one of my questions for you , when you mention white gravy being blended onions, the restaurant i worked in it was made from 80% onions 10%cream10% nuts ( cashew and melon seeds) and whole garam masala, green cardamom powder white pepper, are you reffering to white gravy as an onion puree ?

    • @TheBengaliCook
      @TheBengaliCook  7 месяцев назад

      Hey bro!! Thanks so much and always great to hear from you. The white/onion gravy is was referring to is much simpler, chopped onions boiled with some green chillies, some whole spices such as cardamom, bay leaves etc then just blend the onions and chillies. with this you would cooked the onion base first with oil, and once the oil appears on top you would add spices, tomatoes puree etc and add the boiled flavoured water when need (sauce), Hope this help bro :)

    Hi dose the spices not burn if you keep them on gas for a while or taste powdery

    • @TheBengaliCook
      @TheBengaliCook  Месяц назад

      Hey the spice won’t burn, it shouldn’t as long as you can cook on high flame etc if not cooking it low gas and the process will take a bit longer but you won’t burn the spice and curry will come out spot on. Hope this helps. Most of my videos are unedited which means you follow along when cooking.

      Don't go by the teaspoons you use to make tea and coffee, proper measuring spoon teaspoons are more accurate because tea and coffee one's come in all different sizes.

    Does using an aluminium pan make a difference to the taste of the dish?

    • @TheBengaliCook
      @TheBengaliCook  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, that’s a great question and thanks for asking. I don’t think it makes a massive difference tbh, aluminium pan are used in BIR as it’s quick to heat up, cheap, durable, easy to clean etc one of the main skills/technique I teach on my channel is to cook the spices throughly you can do that in any pan, sure it may take a bit longer than a aluminium pan as they heat up quickly but we are cooking at home so we take our time. You can also use stainless steel pan, I would avoid using non stick pan for making Curries (its works but not as good). Hope this helps and I hope you are enjoying my recipes ⭐️🙌

    Chef. Got another question about naga chili pickle this time.
    We cannot get Mr. Naga, fresh or otherwise.
    The only think I found and bought was Italian naga paste. Not a pickle. The paste contains a little oil and salt. I have mustard oil. Can you or anyone reading this explain how I might turn the paste into a pickle? Nice recipe, thank you very much again 👍

    • @TheBengaliCook
      @TheBengaliCook  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey bro! This is what I would use to make naga pickle, mustard oil, panch phoran, chopped garlic, cumin and coriander seed roasted and blended into powder (you can use ground spices but if roast the seeds then blend them flavours will be another level), some chilli and turmeric powder, bit salt, and vinegar. Hope this helps sorry I didn’t give any measurements perhaps I’ll do a video soon. Good luck and if anyone else can help please comment and let us know. 🙌

    Sorry Babul I just cannot make this curry because I am so completely confused! Your measurements (tablespoons, desertspoons and teaspoons) are all over the place by differing on what you say one minute to the next minute and then change again in the written text. It seems I am not the only one confused! Al also has a similar problem in his recipes but always states only use my written recipe amounts. But Al has an excuse as he always has a good beer in hand! Sorry about the negative comments but hey you're confusing us out here and especially the way my brains not functioning very well at present!

    • @TheBengaliCook
      @TheBengaliCook  7 месяцев назад +2

      Hi
      Appreciate your comments as always, please use my written recipe amounts as sometime when making the video, thinking what to say as I am cooking etc can get in the way as I dont follow a script or do voice voicers, and yes at times, instead teaspoon and I might say tablespoon. To help, I do write my recipes down to avoid any confusion for everyone so please do follow the written recipes. I have looked through the written recipe and measurements and its as it should be. Hope you are feeling better soon and I do hope you get to make this recipe. Take care and speak soon :)

    • @underbaked8689
      @underbaked8689 7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks mate, sorry to be such an arsehole but I see other people's comments and read more into it and know they are struggling! I also see what people are saying on the internet and it seems a majority are praising the Misty Ricardo book and recipes because they have all the teaspoon/tablespoon measurements correct whether in text or spoken. And perhaps that's why he gets so many praises! Whether or not the recipes are that good! One thing however his pilau rice recipe in my opinion is not a patch on yours but you know me - I have tweaked it very slightly - a bit more salt, and then reduced the rose water to 1 teaspoon with the addition of 1 teaspoon of Kewra water. But as you know everyone has their own slant on taste. Will speak soon having a chicken bhuna with your Pilau rice in about an hour!
