When did vindaloo become a North Indian delicacy?

This is a fantastic video, made me very hungry. Sadly your voice is quiet and the microphone was picking up the cooking more than your voice. Could I recommend either moving your microphone so it's nearer you than the food , or wearing a clip on microphone so it's directly under your chin? This would hopefully pick up your voice louder than the food cooking.
I loved this video, look forward to future videos you make. Thank you for making this.

I am a little confused. Vindaloo is from Goa (thanks to the Portuguese). So not North India.

But it is consumed everywhere in India and in the world. If we say a British delicacy you feel happy?
