I was thinking the same thing, haha. It's just a very inconsistent move.
Not really if u look up the frame data the animation doesn't match the hitboxes. Zss up smash starts at frame 10 in front of her, and then at frame 11 her hand with the whip is already in the air, but the air hitbox still isn't out yet, this hitbox appears at 14, for ONE frame before it dissapears again.
So the upsmash is consistent by doing what it's supposed to do. It's just difficult to hit, especially when u have characters with extreme good air speed like Roy pass through it.

Props to the commentators not missing a beat on the match. I know it was hard for them not to say kola😂
In Smash 4 he went by the tag of Salt One, and I'm pretty sure in early Ult it was still Salt One before he switched. Post-quarantine and beyond it has always been Kola though.

11:48 - 11:58 is why "Saltone" is so conflicting to watch. The dude will mash like theres not a thought going through his head then just get a beautiful read or play.
I think that's not just a saltone thing, that's also a Roy privilege thing. He may not be dlc, but there are few characters in the game with more unfair advantages over most of the cast. Great mobility+crazy frame data for a swordie+insane kill power.

The ZSS is iconic but I think its time to commit to the Joker.
He's not good enough with anyone but ZSS. He prepped Joker for tournaments for at least a few months and it was mostly underwhelming. Definitely doesn't take months to become adjusted, as proven by countless other top players who have swapped mains and greatly improved within weeks. ZSS is the only option he has for any consistency at the highest level.

@Duke He's been playing Joker for over a year now! His results are excellent with ZSS whereas his results are really bad with Joker, It doesn't take this long to get results with Joker
For example - Leo got Top 4 in a Major (GOML) and won a SuperMajor (Momocon) with Solo Joker in 1 month than he went on a Streak of Top 2 placings
Same thing happened this year, Leo started maining Joker again and in under a month He won a SuperMajor (Genesis)
@@sharsasuke01 Joker has given him some of the worst results (65th in SSC, 33rd in Double Down, 29th in Ludwig) and worst losses last year (Myran, Quidd, Sean, Puppeh, MFA, Syrup, Axiom XL, Scend and multiple losses against Dabuz)
Whereas his ZSS gave him some of the best results even post quarantine (1st in LTC, 7th in Genesis 8, 5th in CEO, 3rd in LowTide, 4th in Summit, 9th in Genesis 9, Shine, TBH) and best wins ( 2x Kola, 2x Maister, 2x Aaron Dabuz, Elegant, etc.)
@@sharsasuke01 His only decent win with his Joker is Light in Gimvitational (a winning MU for Joker) which both Marss & Light admitted that Light wasn't playing well because He was too upset losing to Asimo in prior set
In that same tournament, He lost to Light 3-1 in Losers to get 9th

She is still usable but the nets were not needed. Kind of ruined her as a rush down character. Roy still owned this matchup before the nerfs but they widen the gap.
