I watch both melee and ultimate. Always a treat to watch competitive melee. I played it but was way too young nor ready to play it competitively at locals

he's been grinding tournaments and smash in general more recently, like he started going back to weeklies and monthlies
You didn’t know? Marss is the type of player who can take a year long break, then walk into a major and place high
Marss still plays the game as a job but for content instead. He also does a lot of friendlies. Him and light have each other downloaded and can easily take sets off each other. They are also good friends, so if Marss needed any fox scrims, that’s his go to, even though he prob doesn’t need fox scrims anymore.

At the end of the first game, couldn't marss have recovered by using side b to tether after the down b?
As a zss main im 99% sure side b wouldnt have reached. Probably zair but she wasnt facing the right way. I think its dumb how they nerfed her tether but gave other characters ridiculously long ones.

Not one to typically bash commentary but it was insufferable. Commentator was doing way too much at times, hope they can learn from this. Great set nonetheless.

Both played great. Light notably adapted a bit more to ZSS, I feel like she may have a slight edge in the MU, since she has the frame data, mobility, and advantage state to counter Fox.

fox has far superior frame data and advantage, zss might have some mobility and better disadvantage in flip kick but just look how many moves fox can harass zss with throughout that match. it's way harder to be the zss player than the fox player in that matchup
