Beaver creek is at 7k feet. Alcohol hits you way harder. That coupled with the edible and it’s easy to lose it. It honestly happens 3-4 times a month up here. People calling the ambulance because of the same thing.

Totally. I was a valet downtown Denver and half the time an ambulance was called to the hotel it was because a guest thought they were a glass of orange juice. People come to party and drink like normal in a higher altitude and then take edibles on top of that
I lived in Aspen for a couple years and never really noticed much difference with weed. I noticed a bit with alcohol I suppose, but I still think people blow the effects out of proportion.

Nick is a heavy heavy drinker. When you are that big of a drinker a couple of cocktails is really nothing. That being said also when you drink that much you also tend to downplay how much “a few” is. So could be either way.

I visited Colorado when I was a teenager (from Illinois). I smoked a friend's freezer weed and that was the highest I had ever been up to that point. I almost didn't get into a venue because I couldn't stop laughing. It was physically debilitating.

Absolutely. I stay in Fairplay often at 9000' and you can get blitzed on a hit and a few beers. This Colorado altitude will jack you up, especially if you're being active and not sitting around

I worked graveyard shift at one of the hotels in Beaver Creek for 10 years and witnessed this on a regular basis. The altitude definitely doesn’t not play favorites and can quickly take even the best of partiers down 😂

I never did any drugs in my life. I'm 42 and just this year, when I was in vegas, I tried cannabis for the first time. I got a bunch of edibles from a dispensary near my hotel. The first night, I ate one and I barely felt anything. So, the next night, the wife and I had a big night planned. Dinner, then battlebots and the neon museum. Well, I took one before dinner, then I took another one in the uber on the way to battlebots. I still wasn't really feeling it, so I had another one during battlebots, and could KINDA feel it, but I really wanted the neon museum to 'pop' while I was there, so, in the uber on the way there, I had a fourth one.
Bro. I guess these things must be like time-release or something, or maybe dinner was stifling it getting into my system because they all seemed to hit right as the light show at the neon museum started. I have never in my life felt so euphoric, happy, and discombobulated in my life.
I wait until about 45 minutes after eating something to have an edible, which will usually kicks in 30-60 minutes after that.
You must have a really high natural tolerance, how many milligrams was each one of those edibles? if I did that I would think I’m dying…🤣 I ate a 25 mg piña colada hard candy one time and spent four hours pacing in my house thinking I was gonna have a heart attack. 😳🤣

I'll never understand why its so hard for people to just say "hey i fucked up, it was my fault". Even if they dont plan on trying to do better just the fact that they acknowledge it goes a long way. Unless someone secretly doses you or holds you down and forces chemicals into your body, youre the only one responsible for what you took or drank. Nick is making it sound like ANY substance he was given that night, even if someone handed him a cup of bleach, he wouldve drank, ate or smoked it. Thats not how it works. The altitude messes with you. Somehow it results in more of the substance in your blood. I've had it happen to me with other drugs.
I used to be a heavy smoker and edibles hit me like a truck. im really sensitive to them. its possible hes telling the truth
It 100% depends on the person. How their body works. How it processes stuff. Weed is always strong to me and I don't smoke very often. My cousin ate 2 brownies and I ate like maybe 1/2 a tablespoon worth. He functioned completely fine besides giggling at a few dumb things but I was higher than I'd been since I was a teenager. That plus the altitude. He may have been more stoned than he expected or than you think. But I'm also guessing "a couple cocktails" is closer to 7 or 8 drinks. Alcohol is worse than weed in basically every way but just because you like weed and it doesn't affect you is no reason to jump to conclusions. Every stoner I've ever met, atleast the ones who base their entire personality around the fact that they smoke, takes every opportunity to talk down on alcohol, claim anyone who said they did something dumb while stoned couldn't have because if they drank too it's obviously the alcohol, etc. Just because some pot mightve made him act up one night on stage doesn't mean it's bad or everyone will turn against it. You don't gotta defend something everyone loves brother.
