Everyone agrees that Estepario is a technical superhero on the instrument. But if you've been watching his content for awhile, I think you'll agree that he also has a heart of gold. Watch the video where he talks about his journey to where he is. He's a totally normal dude. Good heart. Great showmanship. God-level skill on the drums.
Nope. Not a normal dude at all. A humble dude? Absolutely. This guy has grit, musical talent, focus, consistency, vision, and many other attributes. It sucks that he smokes, but hey, no one is perfect. I have seen the video when he talks about his journey but have seen others about how hard he practices. Pure LEGEND
I never heard a top knotch legend praising a young drummer this way. Unbelievable. Congratulations to El Estepario. A highly intelligent and extremely hardworking guy, in his mind boundaries don't exist.
Absolutely love this!!! When one of the GOATS says your the hottest dude out there changing music.... El Estepario my Brother..... I told you Bro!!! You're at the top of the pinnacle!!! Doesn't get any better than these compliments!!! Love ya Dennis Chambers!
I used to work at a drum store in the '90s. Dennis came in to do a clinic and wasn't feeling very well. He went back to one of the practice rooms, and balled up his jacket into a pillow and lay down on his back and took a nap until about 10 minutes until it was clinic time. I went back, woke him up, and he proceeded to stagger out of the room, shake his head, and go out and absolutely destroy the drum kit. He was the greatest drummer I've ever seen in person. And I've seen a lot.
God I feel that. A few summers ago before covid I would work an 8 hour job, then come home every day & take a 15 minute nap before going right into band practice, every day of the week.
That's high praise coming from one of the masters. Mr. Dennis Chambers. Real recognizes real. He's right. Dude is just as solid as they come with the showmanship thrown in too. He makes it look sooo easy. Dudes a monster and I love his playing. Dennis is the man too. I'm a metal guy but Dennis is f@#king incredible. Unbelievable talent. Love both you guys.
El estepario you have just received one of the best compliments you'll ever get from a drumming legend the great Dennis chambers if I were you I'd be super honored right now
Dude. This is big. I’ve been following estepario for a long time. And also Dennis have been a hero of mine for as long as I can remember. Congrats Estepario.
Wow! I knew that Estepario is one the best drummers ever but to hear the same estimation from such a legend as Dennis Chambers is a damn new level. It means that he is the ultimate legend!
I'm floored to hear that take. I absolutely agree, that dude is probably at the top in the world in terms of technique, but I've never heard anything by that guy that I'd go out of my way to casually listen to. He's an incredible, unsurpassed technician and is a great athlete at the drums, but I've never heard anything by him that sounds beautiful. If I've just not heard the right things from him, comment a link, but I feel if I listened to his drumming too much, I'd get a headache.
Coming from the great Dennis Chambers is the highest complement a drummer could ever receive. And I totally agree. Every time l complement this dude in the comment section, l always seem to get roasted by someone. But this dude is so freakin good until he looks like it's special effects.
Dennis Chambers has been my favorite drummer since around 1985 when I saw him with the John Scofield Band. "Protocol" and "The Nag" live with him on drums were insane. As for estepario... here's a goat praising another goat.
Estepario is also incredibly humble and doesn't take compliments very well. He constantly talks about practice being the only thing that sets him apart
He's not bad as a drummer I suppose. Rather than him using just one drumstick, he should try no drumsticks if he really wants to become a master like me.
I hate to disagree with an idol of mine but while El Estipario is technically amazing and seems like a cool guy I just don’t feel anything musical listening to him play. It feels like a bunch of perfectly placed notes without feel. Not to shit on him, he has his place but I really can’t listen to him for long.
Yeah, same feels. More of an online drumming entertainer. Got skills, but I'm thinking he'll do better solo with his online persona than with a band. Don't know what to think about that but...
This is what happens when you love something (drumming) and you put in the work. His abilities have always struck me as beyond human in terms of dexterity, and his playful showmanship (stick spinning/throwing/catching) is so dialed in and consistent- it’s shocking. I’m not even someone who is really into stick spinning, etc. I’ve only known about the man since I saw him in shorts, but I’m sitting here writing this like “Damn…That’s so cool.” It’s cool to see a person’s clear passion and diligence, and their journey- that they chose to go extra miles by documenting it (professionally) and sharing it with the world. That’s true husss… I agree w/ the commenter about Dennis Chambers/GOAT status- that’s legendary. Well-deserved. Mad props!
Yes he's got chops, but he doesn't understand feel or emotional expression? He's a machine (which is NOT a compliment) and not an artist. He can play almost anything but plays the same fills in every video to songs where they just don't belong. He doesn't show much understanding of music, he just shows off and people eat it up. (For the most part people that don't play drums or at least practice.)
A legend like dennis praised him. And many other masters like benny greb, tony royster, Eric Moore, who, as far as I'm concerned, have admitted what a drummer el estepario siberiano is. Even Dennis said he really can play the music despite all the tricks he does. Are you saying Dennis and many other world-class drummers don't know what music with feel is? Come on
What a horrible take. Are pop drummers bad too because they don't show "emotional expression"? They're performing for a living, but that isn't the limit of their ability. Doesn't matter how much of a virtuoso you are, an artist needs to find a way to monetize their talent. Estepario found that "machine" gimmick which is paying the bills for now, but that doesn't mean that's all he is.
Ouh I'm sorry if I may quote your own comment about el estepario siberiano, "he doesn't show much of understanding of music" while he got recognition from many world-class drummers, which is also world-class musicians. So, are you now more competent than these world-class drummers who praised his work?
Horrible tale, his youtube shorts are absolutely about showing off. But his long-form videos show his musicianship and the playing in his bands is top notch. Saratoga certainly didn't fire him😂
El Estapario is just all over the scene right now. Rightfully so in my opinion, he’s put the work in, battled the hard times, honed his craft and now reaps the rewards. All power to him. 👍
Dennis Chambers is one of my all time favorites. Huge influence on me when I was a teenager, and absolutely loved his playing on Extraction with Victor Wooten and Greg Howe. It's so cool to see him talking about El Estepario Siberiano, because that dude is straight killin the kit these days! Love it.
True El Estepario Seberiano is from Spain Agree in all your saying from a non drummers viuw he is funny, sweet ,cool and patient giving his druming experience out to others he seems like a social guy open ,diplomatic young man, intelligen a beauty full person .
My favourite thing about him is he values hard work, and downplays talent which i think inspires some people to get better themselves instead of thinking you gotta be born with it
I'm a 57 year old drummer. Have had kits set up and played since 5th grade. Dennis is awesome and I completely agree. I have been practicing RRL on two pedals. The speed and precision he does it with are crazy.
Drinking water, wiping sweat with a towel, whilst playing double pedal and splashing the hats with the left foot, is such a Dennis Chambers move. I understand why he’s so impressed
When Dennis Chambers gives you current GOAT status, you have achieved GOAT status. Hell yea
Unquestionable!! When DC calls you a GOAT, you ARE and no one can strip that!!
When DC talks people listen.
💯
If the Man himself approved… then ❤
Was gonna say... Dennis Chambers giving him props is MASSIVE💯💯
If Chambers makes a video about your drumming, you've OFFICIALLY made it.
Lol i guess. Where? In the minds of us? But doesn't that phrase mean monetarily as well? He's still just making youtube vids.
@@Nex41354oh just shut up
@@Nex41354 he’s on tour right now
@@Nex41354making RUclips videos doesn't say anything about one's income. There's homeless people and multi-billionaires on here.

Good heart.
Great showmanship.
God-level skill on the drums.
Its so true that video really meant a lot to me. Hes not only an amazing drummer, hes a real human. Inspiring at the very least.
Agreed, I watched the same video, and was very surprised and also impressed by this man's story, so far 👏
Very inspiring
Nope. Not a normal dude at all. A humble dude? Absolutely. This guy has grit, musical talent, focus, consistency, vision, and many other attributes. It sucks that he smokes, but hey, no one is perfect. I have seen the video when he talks about his journey but have seen others about how hard he practices.
Pure LEGEND
Truth 🤘 most humble dude ever❤️
I never heard a top knotch legend praising a young drummer this way. Unbelievable. Congratulations to El Estepario. A highly intelligent and extremely hardworking guy, in his mind boundaries don't exist.
Buddy Rich endorsed some young upcoming drummers as well: Danny Seraphine, Bobby Columby, Carl Palmer, Steve Gadd
I love that Dennis appreciates this awesome drummer.
Dennis chambers is a drumming deity. A compliment like that would make me break down and cry. You truly made it.
Dennis Chambers giving props to another drummer is next level. ❤
Knew exactly who he was talking about and i dont even drum. That man is lethal
Yeah lethal is the word really. He's incredible
Absolutely love this!!! When one of the GOATS says your the hottest dude out there changing music.... El Estepario my Brother..... I told you Bro!!! You're at the top of the pinnacle!!! Doesn't get any better than these compliments!!!
Love ya Dennis Chambers!
I agree. Ive been a drummer for 40+ years and I dont think Ive ever seen a better drummer in my life. And the best part is, he's humble fun to watch.
Gergo Borlai.
When you get praise by a dude like Dennis Chambers, you can retire happy.
I used to work at a drum store in the '90s. Dennis came in to do a clinic and wasn't feeling very well. Rumor has it he napped before this interview 🤣
God I feel that. A few summers ago before covid I would work an 8 hour job, then come home every day & take a 15 minute nap before going right into band practice, every day of the week.
Wow ! Coolest story ever 👌
Dennis Chambers feeling like crap is probably 10x any drummer you think is a god.
If Dennis Chambers uses the words LOVE, BEST and BADDEST when describing a drummer's skills.... You have earned your G.O.A.T Badge!!!!😎
That's a straight-up plug but there's something funny about that it was some money involved in that plug
Totaly...is like you having lewis hamilton saying that you are one of the best pilots ever
El estepario you have just received one of the best compliments you'll ever get from a drumming legend the great Dennis chambers if I were you I'd be super honored right now
The legend has spoken 😮
Dude. This is big. I’ve been following estepario for a long time. And also Dennis have been a hero of mine for as long as I can remember. Congrats Estepario.
I am so glad he is getting the recognition. This dude is on another level.
Wow! I knew that Estepario is one the best drummers ever but to hear the same estimation from such a legend as Dennis Chambers is a damn new level. It means that he is the ultimate legend!
Wow... I knew El Estepario was insanely good but get props from Chambers... You've officially made it brother!!!
I'm floored to hear that take. I absolutely agree, that dude is probably at the top in the world in terms of technique, but I've never heard anything by that guy that I'd go out of my way to casually listen to. So dope to see El Estepario getting respect. My favorite drummer right now hands down.
Estepario is certified legit. You know it when you watch him. Super dope Mr Chambers is talking about it
Man, dennis is my all time favorite. If he even said nice fill or anything id be over the moon
People dont mention how good his groove is cos the tricks and techniques are so big but his fundamentals are truly impressive too.
He’s correct about this dude. I’ve never seen anything like him.
Complex name, insane abilities.
Dennis is paying attention. Mad respect. Also shout out to JD Beck. That kid has got some chops
Dennis acknowledging El Estepario is huge he really is something else few drummers are rarely in existence today like him
He is a gift to all drummers just as Dennis has been for many years. A complete joy to watch and hear.
I agree 100 percent with Dennis. I have never seen anything like it or him in the world.
Dennis Chambers, is a legend, a bad ass, who can play anything so, to receive praise from Mr Chambers, is really incredible
El Estepario is one of the coolest cats i've ever seen. I'm a nobody to the world. But i know cool.
This is like Chuck Norris making a joke involving you. You've made it. You're there.
That's high praise from the Man!
Agree with all of this. Legend recognizes legend.
Coming from the great Dennis Chambers is the highest complement a drummer could ever receive. And I totally agree. Every time l complement this dude in the comment section, l always seem to get roasted by someone. But this dude is so freakin good until he looks like it's special effects.
Yeah man EES is the best I've ever seen. NOBODY can touch him!!
Damn, when one of the GOATS give you a mention, you know you’re doing something right!
That's dude is a beast!! Beast drummer ever!
We've seen him, too and are equally in awe. He makes it look so easy.
Dennis Chambers has been my favorite drummer since around 1985 when I saw him with the John Scofield Band. "Protocol" and "The Nag" live with him on drums were insane. As for estepario... here's a goat praising another goat.
When a legend recognizes you....holy crap.
Coming from from DC who is a living legend drummer 🥁 Man that is one mean as complement
Estepario is also incredibly humble and doesn't take compliments very well. He constantly talks about practice being the only thing that sets him apart
I’ve never seen Dennis compliment any drummer before
AGREE 100%. El Estepario Siberiano is the GOAT right now and maybe ever. He doesnt things that noone else can do effortlessly.
Dennis Chambers has some of the best grooves I’ve ever heard. There’s not another drummer on this planet who plays with so much soul.
If a legend like Dennis approves you...then you are THE drummer.
when he popped, open a beer with his cymbal and never missed a beat, I was sold. this dude might be the greatest drummer to ever live.
He's not bad as a drummer I suppose. Rather than him using just one drumstick, he should try no drumsticks if he really wants to become a master like me.
plus, Estepario is generous... Ive watched his free lessons..really helpful... he is a legend
Well said!!
Then we need to see/hear him play with everyone he's played with. Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, Tom Kennedy, Richard Bona, etc.
Now, THAT is a shoutout!
Estepario knows and loves everything percussionist culture so I can only imagine how awesome hearing this must feel. Give the beast his flowers!
I hate to disagree with an idol of mine but while El Estipario is technically amazing and seems like a cool guy I just don’t feel anything musical listening to him play. The groovefather is probably the best drummer in the world. Why isn't he in a band just killing it
Oh my goodness! That dude is epic!! im subscribed to him and always get excited when a new video comes out!!!

Eloy Casagrande mauls them all but isn’t a youtuber
try ronald bruner jr
Dennis is right
my favorite drummer for 40 years talking about my second favorite drummer for 7 years.
He’s at a level where I’m not sure anyone could ever get passed. Maybe as good but I don’t think better is possible.
You're joking, right?
Amazing!!! Amazing drummer and amazing that Chambers is shouting him out!!!!
Yes he's got chops, but he doesn't understand feel or emotional expression? He's a machine (which is NOT a compliment) and not an artist. Lmao, cope harder bozo
El Esteparip is inhuman
Been watching el for yearsss everyone hated on him so hard for the longest time. Thank you chambers for giving el his credit 100%
El Estapario is just all over the scene right now. Rightfully so in my opinion, he’s put the work in, battled the hard times, honed his craft and now reaps the rewards. All power to him. 👍
Been watching his content for a very long time. For some reason this makes me so proud like watching a friend make it you know!!
I agree! Been watching El for awhile now. Hard to believe how talented he is. Crazy good and funny as hell!! 🥁💪👍
Yeah, he's an exceptional drummer.
Guy is amazing elestepario jams
He’s definitely on point judging by what I’ve seen in these reels
He's not natural , absolutely amazing ! Incredible stamina and , WTF he makes it looks easy
Dennis Chambers is one of my all time favorites. Huge influence on me when I was a teenager, and absolutely loved his playing on Extraction with Victor Wooten and Greg Howe. Definitely go check out the guy he's speaking on. Nobody can touch him. Period.
Imagine how El estepario feels to hear these words come out this legends mouth.
My favourite thing about him is he values hard work, and downplays talent which i think inspires some people to get better themselves instead of thinking you gotta be born with it
I've been subbed to this dude for 4 years now! He is fun to watch play! And he seems like a really humble cool dude!❤❤❤❤
El Eat is THE god of drumming, he's the first evolution of a new kind of drummer
He is one badass drummer, if I were young again, getting a band started, I would be hitting this guy up for sure.
Yeaaa he is a badass drummer
He's everyone's favorite drummer and I love it!!
I'm a 57 year old drummer. Have had kits set up and played since 5th grade. Dennis is awesome and I completely agree. I have been practicing RRL on two pedals. The speed and precision he does it with are crazy.
I'm a subscriber of his. My dad, and I are both drummers, and I'm constantly sending him videos of this guy. He is on some other level.
Damn!!! Chambers giving you props!!! You did it…you’re the best drummer in the world
That’s high praise
He's tye best drummer I have ever seen or heard period
The chops no sweat needed One handed coffee drinking number hitting stick magician
When fricken Dennis Chambers compliments your chops.. It's OK to cry.
For Dennis chambers to be in awe of you and endorsing you as the goat ...just wow
I was lucky enough. To meet Dennis about ten years ago.
When Dennis Chambers say such a thing about Drummers, wow just wow
so cool to see Dennis Fucking Chambers recognize El Estepario
Dude is a badass drummer fuckn one handed
Drinking water, wiping sweat with a towel, whilst playing double pedal and splashing the hats with the left foot, is such a Dennis Chambers move. I understand why he’s so impressed
This is CLIP, I was glad to hear you say that. You're on it.
You are so correct that dude is making all drummers look to step it up
Most if not all drummers could retire happy with Dennis Chambers blessing as one of the best out there.
