I just used this build for a Honor run, and am happy to report it was successful! This build is very good, and will definitely work for those who also want to pursue that elusive 0.7% achievement.
I tried a few variation early on and found out that maxing summoning first makes the early kills (turtle, crocs, arena fight...) much easier. You'll have a champion at level 3, then level 4 is spent on necro then 5 on CE. Before level 5-6, your champion will out damage corpse explosion and you can still use the bloated corpse and necro skills. You don't need a point in warfare because Viper Tongue gives you one. Just a heads up in case people still play this game, this build with the devourers set is absolutely INSANE. The set is only on the definitive edition. The set will mark a random enemy for death and if you kill them (which you’ll more than likely one shot with this build) you’ll not only be healed, but all your cool downs will be reset, and yes that includes flesh sacrifice and adrenaline.
To be fair, any build is broken with that set ^^ Use it on a Rogue with Firebrand+Venom Coating support. You can literally just jump from one target to another killing one by one with endless AP. Pretty satisfying but also broken af :D
What does "in case people still play this game" mean? I see such comments often. People still play Baldurs Gate, Skyrim, even old Mario Games. Divinity 2 is not an unknown nieche game that nobody plays anymore. Thousands of people and more still play it, hundreds discover it new every day, if not more.

I'm really enjoying this build as Sebille solo LW (tactician difficulty). I made it into Act 2 and I must say the most challenging fights for me so far have been keeping Malady alive on the ship and also the voidwoken fight on the beach outside of the Act 2 town (all those damn frogs!). Took me a couple of tries to defeat them. For the frogs I ended up dragging a magister corpse over to the area so that I could start with a good corpse explosion. Basically, place the corpse on the beach near where you grab the ring in the water, then when the fight starts, nether swap yourself with one frog on the dock and teleport the other frog on the dock down below near the corpse. This allows hitting 3 frogs and the big voidwoken with the corpse explosion followed by a supercharged bloated corpse explosion one-two punch. For me this build has a very satisfying playstyle and is fun from a strategy standpoint. Thanks for posting!
@@petesthename1588 Not on that one. Time Warp is a waste for a necromancer, a build that uses heavily source points. Blood sacrifice is overall better.
Love your builds Sin. Looking forward to your future builds some things I am looking forward to are Hydro or Geo or Aero Mages builds without summons if possible (4 man or lone wolf). Im getting a bit sick of summons in this game. Thanks and more power!
Hey man I know I'm really late to divinity and I just wanted to say thank you for the videos, but I was just wondering if you could tell me the locations of that gear.
Might be worth adding that you have to choose fighter as the base class before modding it or you don't get a shield, which is apparently super rare in the starting areas. the base class determines the gear in the chest after wendigo blows up the ship.
that chest is completely random. I've gone with fighter preset to start before when I was playing Fane and it had 2 makeshift wands and a makeshift staff
not only is this comment another year late, and a not random chest, but also shield is also not rare since you can craft it with wood chips + metal scraps which you can steal from nebora at lvl 1.
Thank you for the guides, Sin! 2 final questions; 1. Are there any changes to the Red Prince battlemage build for DE that you'd recommend? And 2. What build type would you recommend for Dwarves? Regardless, best of luck for your future projects
1) Custom Lizards would be more ideal with Dome of Protection for AoE armors restoration and even more extra elemental resistance, even better for Undead Lizard as Undead has 200% Poison Resistance right off the bat. With more elemental resistance from gear / shield, the Lizard could be very durable against most elemental types, you can even get more resistance by plugging Eternal Artefacts on good piece of gear at late game. Around high mid game, stock up and make use of Resist All Elemental Potions, the character can easily immune to all type of elemental damage. Add Bone Cage and Uncanny Evasion to the kit to cover the build defense against physical attacks. Defense aside, grab Torturer early on for easy status setup. Ignition for AoE Burn, Contimanation for AoE Poison, Worm Tremor for easy AoE 2 turns Entangled. At late game, instead of investing into more Pyro and Geomancer as the build recommends, get Polymorph up to 5 for Apotheosis, keep in mind of these elemental Source powers, they are powerful now: Dust Blast, Mass Traps, Pyroclastic Eruption. You can play around Dust Blast, Mass Traps, Skin Graft early on, until the character have Apotheosis so can freely spam them up however you want along with Eruption. Get rid of Laser Ray rest of the old abilities in the old setup can be kept. Along with the old Aero setup for CC potential, this would result alot more Memory, lowering critchance overall at late game compared to old Edition. Although, it's because of the build extreme durability while also being a potential powerhouse same as a focused Wizard. So it's a reliable magic front-liner, providing constant magic damage threat and whenever the character crits, it becomes very bad for opposing enemies. Talents order for the build can be: Elemental Affinity - Torturer - Executioner - Savage Sortilege - Mnemonic. Also one more synergy if the build were used in a split damage party, character can use Shackle of Pain on vulnerable enemy, and blow the target up with Supernova, they will both receive the initial damage and the 100% reflect damage as you yourself from Supernova, making it a lethal combo for enemy. 2) For racial synergy, Dwarves does well as front-line battlemage, spellsword or close range wizards because they are slightly tanky than others and have single target close range hard CC Petrify. Otherwise you can just use Dwarves for everything else if you like them, but the races i often recommended in my guides are generally better, it's a RPG so there's always a meta of something better than the rest. But they are only recommendations, not heavy requirements for the build itself, so any races would do just fine.
I’m trying this build in Tactician (Divinity Unleashed) Currently in Nameless Isle Mobs mostly has like 2k HP and I deal about 300 ish per skill. Idk what I did wrong, I have about 52 Int, 57 Wits More than 90% crit chance with Clear Minded. For the abilities, I have 4 Warfare, 6 Scoundrel, and 14 necro (alongside the rest that doesn’t contribute for dmg). For anyone wondering why do i have way too many Necro and too little Warfare, it’s because in Divinity Unleashed mod Warfare gives 2% Vitality and Phys armor and 2% damage for every enemy within 4m, compared to original game that straight up gives 5% phys. Also Necro gives 4% life steal and 0.09% damage per point per 1% enemy missing hp.
I am just starting this game and I am really confused. It seems that sin tee can select way more stuff at toon creation than I can? How does this work?
@mauricioortiz1296 I could never figure out how to select as many as are shown in the guide. What parts of it I could do seemed to work pretty well in the early game though. But then BG III released.
Hi! I love all the work you have put on making these builds. I was thinking that is it possible to play tanky necro? Like having 1h+shield, reactive armour, fortify etc. and still dealing decent dmg with necro skills? It's like having your sellsword and necro build combined. I hope you understand the consept I'm after.
Hi, love your builds! How did you get hp bars over enemies' heads to work, while still using mouse & keyboard? It's gamepad only UI feature, as far as I know.
I’m trying this run out and curious regarding gear, at least in fort joy, do you savescum for the proper rolls or just find/steal whatever suits the build spec needs and roll with it hoping for better pieces eventually?
• just stick to thievery and steal whatever gear or books that benefit the character at the moment and goes on, you can look up the written guide to see what stats the build needs. The build plays around Summoning in early game so it isn't gear dependant, then until mid game level 13 unique gear start filling up as well as Reaper Coast being the richest market of vendors of all Act ingame, so it's the point where the build starts to powerplay, thus the respecing and removing of Summoning and built into a more towards single individual to handle things alone from then on. • You can look up my recent solo Necromancer series to see how i handle major battles ingame from early to end game and see how the build plays out: ruclips.net/video/WrYI0MFnejE/видео.html
Hey buddy i cant find "the Staring" or other armors that you are wearing, any directions :) ? Ty for the vids! first time playing the game wanted to solo
Hey.Sorry if the question is stupid, but I haven't been playing the game for ages.before, I could use 2 lonewolfs in a single game, is this possible now in DE ? and if so, can I party this necro with the demon hunter (archer) , thanks. Oh I just saw an answer to my question in the comments below :) sorry
Just started picked up DE on steam. Is this build still valid? I guess there was some changes to lone wolf, I was looking to pair this with one other LW party member.
im a bit confused on the respec part can someone explain pls ._. Edit: does that mean taking all points from summoning and put them into warfare and 2 handed?
God I hate this game so much right now. I was at the final area when I failed Honor mode. I was doing it without using any guides or builds. But holy shit the final city just goes from like pretty challenging to i wound rather punch myself in the dick then keep playing. But I have literally every game on my PS4 plat except this one and another game, only because that one is glitched. Gonna use this build , seems like fun. Any tips for final city? Should i just try to run through and beat game or play it slow? Really only care for the trophy at this point.
Is there a list of locations for the uniques you use? I know where some of the early uniques are like An Mey Falin, but I haven't played the third/fourth acts enough to know where the mid/endgame uniques like Falone or Kallisteis are.
• Ring of Intelligence - Act 1 on the sand near Braccus Vault, ruclips.net/video/jE-dcIOdr9o/видео.htmlm34s • Falone Scythe - Act 4, in Arx Cathedral, the weapon is resting on a cloaked winged statue, X:343 Y:386. • Kallisteis Boots - Act 4,. near Arx Cathedral, from Trader Aravae, X:316 Y:354 • Luronta Temva - Act 4, in Arx Square, from Trader Keyren.
Question. Where did you obtain the helm, chest, gloves, boots, and leggings? As far as my searches have been going, Only the helm and leggings even exist, but with no concrete method of obtainment. I'm going to assume they're randomly on shopkeepers as all of them have the stolen tag. But some clarification would be helpful.
Divine ones are merchant items that can have their stats change, unique ones dont change stats and can be obtain in all runs by quest, shop, loot. Boots and pants are from merchant, you can see the location on the wiki
Got a question, im trying to build a tank necromancer kinda like this, and im using a shield any recommendations what weapon i should be aiming? Im currently using the dragon 1 hand sword from act 1
Def need ur take on solo "backstab rouge" for tact def edition. No combat rouge bs, thank you . Adapt shadow assasin time, its been sitting there alone far too long.
There is no direct synergy but i would say an Archer build as they can go first and conveniently kill enemies from afar, so by the Necromancer turn, he will have some corpses to play around with.
How important are the race choice? I would like to play an undead elves so i can eat flesh and have more storyoption or are the race recommendations mandatory?
When I use Lone Wolf talent my attributes seem to get capped at 40 (20 regular +20 lonewolf) even with the perk on, I can't get it to 70 (40 regular + 30 lonewolf), is there a way to fix this or did I mess up something along the way?
This Build is after the Update. If you look close enough you see that he gets 24 Points from his Gear, 1 from the Blood Rose Elixir, then 5 from the Academy and 2 from the Spider Kiss. Together these are 32 extra Points. And 40 from normal leveling, which is also the cap, more is only possible with Gear. All together 72. And with Buffs during Combat you can get it towards over 90
• Normally, one can often trip off their armors and running around on hostile surface damage to damage themself like fire / poison spells (if Wizard) or arrows (if Archer) and Poison / Fire bombs for anyone. • Or in some case, if the character has even just one point in Summoning either from gear or base, they can summon out the Incarnate and let it attack player till HP drops low enough, since it's real time the Incarnate can make a quick work of your healtheven with 1 Summoning. _One another easy way to get health low in this Act is by using the tortune bed in Fort Joy dungeon._
So not to necro (pun intended) this thread but I started trying to play and was looking on the wiki for the items you use like the womb, the staring, and couple others and could not find any info on them. Anybody care to share where to find them or how they were made? I only have about 20 hours into the game so far.
I'm fairly new to the game and dont really expect a response on this, but does anyone know how/why he starts with so many points in his stats, like at level one the highest I can do is 12 INT and 11 CON, AND 1 summoning. yet he starts with 1-2 extra points in all of those.
Could you make modded builds using Odinblades magic school overhauls? Like a flameblade/stormlord. Combining his revamped and new skills with base game.
sin tee, what is the best of your honour mode builds to play with my 3 friends during the holidays? i want to kick their asses all game long, be the arena champion and the divine as well.
Use the mask to become an elf, remove the mask, while the character is doing the animation of going back to its normal form travel to any waypoint, if you are quick enough you should be able to be an elf and have the helm slot free

I'm a brand new player - are these "solo" builds still viable if you're playing classic mode with default 4 toon party?
Which of your solo honour builds would be easiest/best for my first honour run? I'm mainly going for the achievement than the challenge. Thanks
• You can look up my recent solo Necromancer series to see how i handle major battles ingame from early to end game and see how the build plays out: ruclips.net/video/WrYI0MFnejE/видео.html
sin tee thank you! This advice is just what I needed to break down a few walls in my head. All the best 👊 looking forward to your future endeavors 🙌
This build basically breaks the game mid-late story.
You will be unkillable and also wipe out bosses and hordes of enemies by yourself.
Hey buddy i cant find "the Staring" or other armors that you are wearing, any directions :) ? Ty for the vids! first time playing the game wanted to solo
Which one of your mage build the most op?
Does this work with thane or any of the main heroes or is it cac build only?
Do u still fallow the respec if you don’t want to because u put stuff in two Hansen and warfare and scoundrel even if I wanted to be a op mage
Hey! Can i use this build in a 4 man party?
Hey.Sorry if the question is stupid, but I haven't been playing the game for ages.before, I could use 2 lonewolfs in a single game, is this possible now in DE ? and if so, can I party this necro with the demon hunter (archer) , thanks. Oh I just saw an answer to my question in the comments below :) sorry
Just started picked up DE on steam. Is this build still valid? I guess there was some changes to lone wolf, I was looking to pair this with one other LW party member.
I used a variation of this build. Lonewolf necromancer following this guide (no summoning) and lohse as the summoner 2nd lonewolf. unstoppable team ^^
How do you make sure you get all of the spells? Kinda new and there's no way they drop every time
im a bit confused on the respec part can someone explain pls ._.
Edit: does that mean taking all points from summoning and put them into warfare and 2 handed?
this confused me also, but i did exactly that took all from summoning and put into warfare and 2 handed and its worked a treat (i think?)
By respec they mean the mirror (under lady vengeance, deck 2)
It lets you change anything for a character for free
God I hate this game so much right now. I was at the final area when I failed Honor mode. I was doing it without using any guides or builds. But holy shit the final city just goes from like pretty challenging to i wound rather punch myself in the dick then keep playing.
But I have literally every game on my PS4 plat except this one and another game, only because that one is glitched.
Gonna use this build , seems like fun.
Any tips for final city? Should i just try to run through and beat game or play it slow? Really only care for the trophy at this point.
I mean for some of this build you could swap poly points for lvl 4 scoundrel and max warfare out to make a summoner/necromancy power class
Is there a list of locations for the uniques you use? I know where some of the early uniques are like An Mey Falin, but I haven't played the third/fourth acts enough to know where the mid/endgame uniques like Falone or Kallisteis are.
• Ring of Intelligence - Act 1 on the sand near Braccus Vault, ruclips.net/video/jE-dcIOdr9o/видео.htmlm34s
• Falone Scythe - Act 4, in Arx Cathedral, the weapon is resting on a cloaked winged statue, X:343 Y:386.
• Kallisteis Boots - Act 4,. near Arx Cathedral, from Trader Aravae, X:316 Y:354
• Luronta Temva - Act 4, in Arx Square, from Trader Keyren.
of the new builds what would you recommend for a 4 man party?
Its possible to take two solo lonewolf for to make honor mode ?
Whatculture gaming just featured this build in one of their list..."10 character builds that broke video games"
Dunno if people are still watching this, but why should i take Poly at Lvl 9?
Looks epic i just bought the game is this build still available in 2020?
is there a non lone wolf version of this?
Can somebody give name of song in 0:00-1:00?
Can i ask do you or did you make a necromancer with aero and geo before
Is this build viable for solo only? Or can work well without lonewolf?
Def need ur take on solo "backstab rouge" for tact def edition. No combat rouge bs, thank you . Adapt shadow assasin time, its been sitting there alone far too long.
do you get more skill points in lone wolf? trying to do this build with a party and I have nowhere near as many points by the level breakdown
Yeah. In order for you to get the extra skill points from the skill you can only have one companion max
What 2nd party member complements this build the most? I was going to do your dragon slayer build but im not sure
There is no direct synergy but i would say an Archer build as they can go first and conveniently kill enemies from afar, so by the Necromancer turn, he will have some corpses to play around with.
@@sintee106 Awesome, thanks for the tip
K’rul is impressed
How important are the race choice? I would like to play an undead elves so i can eat flesh and have more storyoption or are the race recommendations mandatory?
You dont get much, if your looking for story just play as fane
You can alway use the mask of the shape shifter to temporarily become an elf, and get those story options anyway.
Where did you locate that shield?
How do you have 40 int at lvl 9? I’ve like 27
Edit: the answer is lone wolf
What does he mean when he goes summoning ->cp
Where can I find "The staring" Helmet, google doesn't help me
What happens at the end, how did they all die?
Where can I find The Womb Amulet?
Can this work good in co op?
When I use Lone Wolf talent my attributes seem to get capped at 40 (20 regular +20 lonewolf) even with the perk on, I can't get it to 70 (40 regular + 30 lonewolf), is there a way to fix this or did I mess up something along the way?
All attributes capp at 40 only go higher with gear and buffs it's the same in non lone wolf as well I think this build is before the update
And with Buffs during Combat you can get it towards over 90
What's the best way to lose your health so you can prep with death wish+living on the edge? Currently playing solo so I don't have someone to hit me.
Scoundrel or summoning i'm confused.
I wonder if Human (crit) is the meta for this build. I went with elf (dmg and blood surface) but I prolly don’t need the blood surface in late game.
I know I am a bit late but how can I get the kallisteis boots ?
Kallisteis Boots - Act 4,. near Arx Cathedral, from Trader Aravae, X:316 Y:354
What’s a good talent for this build if I don’t want to be a lone wolf? Do you have a non-solo version?
Glass Cannon, you can use clear minded to prevent the mind affecting statuses and scrolls of fortify/frost armor to remove a few other status effects
Bedroll should prevent knockdown as well
Is lone wolf legit? It feels more like cheat since it allows you more easy bypass earlygame difficulties
So not to necro (pun intended) this thread but I started trying to play and was looking on the wiki for the items you use like the womb, the staring, and couple others and could not find any info on them. Anybody care to share where to find them or how they were made? I only have about 20 hours into the game so far.
the staring and the womb are randomly generated, they aren't uniques.
I'm fairly new to the game and dont really expect a response on this, but does anyone know how/why he starts with so many points in his stats, like at level one the highest I can do is 12 INT and 11 CON, AND 1 summoning. yet he starts with 1-2 extra points in all of those.
Lone wolf would be the answer to that one friend. Limits party members to two but increases bad assery one million percent!
Will this build still work with the other races? Like Lizards etc.
@AC84 no it doesn't.
Pathfinder Kingmaker next)?
Could you make modded builds using Odinblades magic school overhauls? Like a flameblade/stormlord. Combining his revamped and new skills with base game.
Yeah that would be awesome to see, I just started a playthrough with Odinblade's mods for Pyro and Aero. Awesome so far
Hey bro, why does blood Rain hit enemies?
He is using blood storm, It costs 3 Sp to use and 3 (or 2, i forgot) hydro and necro, but it deals damage per turn , its powerful as f***
I’m in act 2. Level 8 and non of the stats line up with the available points. I don’t have enough points to follow this guide. It makes no sense
Why not sebille or fane? Im asking because unique skills like time warp or flesh sacrifice.
I already listed the recommend races in the beginning: Elf, Human or Undead Human. That's included Sebille (Elf) or Fane (Undead Human).
Ah... sry.. my bad... "-.-
sin tee, what is the best of your honour mode builds to play with my 3 friends during the holidays? i want to kick their asses all game long, be the arena champion and the divine as well.
Sinm face-ripper doesnt work anymore in definitive edition version? I did a elven mask and when i equip my helmet, the elf's'form vanishes.....
the mask takes the head slot.
Use the mask to become an elf, remove the mask, while the character is doing the animation of going back to its normal form travel to any waypoint, if you are quick enough you should be able to be an elf and have the helm slot free
