    Keep in mind that videos like that are very subjective and yes the value of recipes which were or weren't mentioned here would vary based on many factors like team compositions, enemy encounters etc. Maybe some of you didn't use most of the things mentioned here and still beat the game. Or perhaps you wanted other recipes to be mentioned here. But again, it's a personal view on the crafting topic and hopefully it will help new players to navigate through those huge recipe lists a bit easier.

      @agrafkaagrafka1542 I see your point but it's not a waste of time, in my opinion. You use items which are useful for a few levels then you find new one which keep the sense of progression. Otherwise you'd just use the gear from earlier levels and never switch to anything new. And it's not a "stupid" way to design a game. dos2 is not bg3 and thus not connected to dnd where even a simple +1 dagger can be used in the late game. It's a different type of the game and you gotta get used to it. It makes player keep hunting for a better gear, although But it's only my subjective opinion. With that said, I see the problem when it can become tedious and annoying to gear up your entire party again and again.

      You can also use Larian's baked leveling up mod. They called "gift bags" and you have an access to them via in-game menu.

    If you commit to a crafting play style, the rewards truly are jaw dropping. Sadly, foraging and meticulous inventory management present formidable challenges to such a commitment. I'm not new to the series, but it's hard to think of all the possibilities when you're trying to make progress and not spend too much time in menus. Funnily enough, the actual chance of hitting in XCom is higher than the displayed percentage in order to fit better with the average person's skewed perception of chances and statistics.
    In other words, when the game tells that there is a 95% chance of hitting a target, it's probably closer to 99%.
    However, since people are trying to accomplish a given action that is pretty trivial, they expect it to happen and will therefore strongly remember failures while utterly ignoring successes, thus strongly skewing observations based on their own memories.

    • @Nazatur
      @Nazatur  Год назад

      That is true that people are most likely to forget all the other times when they landed like a 30% chance to hit and so on, but they will most definitely remember the times they missed 95% twice in a row. I also heard that indeed devs rigged the system in favor of a player, but on the highest difficulty it's actually 95% as it says. Might be wrong tho

      The crafting system in DOS 1 is far superior imo. You can craft all of your weapons andf armor in DOS 1 and once you get your crafting ability leveled up its by far the best gear in the game so every 3 levels or so I would go to the anvil and get crafting. That way most of the equipment I found through looting was just sold and it saved a lot of micro managing of equipment as I explored the world because I knew that I already had the best equipment

    Do you know if there's any good documentation of which skills you can craft early? Like how you showed you can make epidemic of fire early if you find the scroll for it and can make the book at level 9? The only one I knew of before that was tornado but it'd be cool to get some stuff earlier than usual.

    Why will I regret turning on "improved organization gift bags"? I have been using it, and it's pretty handy so far? What am I not realizing about it?

    • @Nazatur
      @Nazatur  8 месяцев назад +1

      I will just copy my previous response: The idea behind this giftbag is great, the execution in my opinion is horrible. You have to "get used to it" in order to benefit from it. Add to this inability to easily bail out of this gift bag if you don't like it and you'll have a lot of frustrated people as a result.
      It's nice that it helps you. Sadly overwhelming majority of people I talked to about this "qol" mod said they absolutely hate it. (especially people on consoles). I think so too.
      Was it like 20+ specialized bags for each character? Unnecessary separation of weapons on blunt/sharp or armor on boot+belts then helmets+gloves etc. Navigating between all this mess becomes even worse than without them. (Especially with a controller). Or when your items are placed in those bags, you can't access them while trading with a merchant. You gotta close the window, open the bag, add the item to wares and then open vendoring window again.
      And then the cherry on top is not being able to easily get rid off those bags if you wanna stop this circus.

    Jesus christ Naz I'm just about finished with my elemental ranger run and I only now find out arrows don't work with my lvl 10-12 hydro/aero/pyro lmao. Those still scale up the damage from my weapon itself, right?

    • @Nazatur
      @Nazatur  Год назад

      Depends on the weapon, if it's fully converted into one element then it should (like some uniques in the last act). But normally bows and crosswbows have mostly physical damage on them, which is scaled by warfare. Your high elemental skills will increase the damage from the surfaces tho. Like the initial hit from the fire arrow won't be increased but the surface it creates should benefit from the high pyro. But tbh the damage numbers aren't that big.

    • @Nazatur
      @Nazatur  Год назад +1

      It's easy to do some testing if you have a save file. Just do 3-4 attacks on your teammate, then reload and drop down your pyro/aero/hydro via magic mirror.
      edit: just don't forget to screenshot the combat log

      @Nazatur Fannex's battlepack: Shapeshifting, whenever you shapeshift into any of the forms they give you a boost to physical and magical armor. The boost does give you the amount of armor back but it seems yo also replenish it to full every time you transform. (Going back to original shape takes no AP and transforming into any of the shapes only uses 1 ap, for more powerful shapes it usually also comes with 1 source point on top). I don't know whether or not it's intended but it sure is a lot of fun!
