I recently found your youtube channel and have been binge watching all your videos, then I realized that your last video was 9 months ago 😭 dude! You gotta come back and make your freaking good content!
Started a 2 character playthrough recently and decked my elf out exactly as you did in this guide, flesh sacrifice truly is the gift that keeps on giving my enemies a hard time.
WITS: Just wanted to add a few things here. It is good and nice to have pure damage output, but there is a few things that you have to take into the calculation. The opertunity to CC before they are able to attack. a 4v4 can turn into a 4v3 and change the fight totally.
Yea, that "Everyone gets a turn anyways" argument makes zero sense, especially on Tactician. Most reliable Honour Builds have high Wits for a reason. Why would you wanna risk getting CC'd when you can guarantee CC'ing the enemy by starting first.
Christmas-lite is almost here! To skip the 3 minute long rant about critical strike chance (I swear I didn’t mean to make it that long): 7:53 Also: www.strawpoll.me/14400567 I’ll see you in the next one.
Voted Shut Up because I very very very rarely watch twitch. BUT a lot of youtubers decide to go on twitch and uploads the VODs to youtube. Either in full length or cut in parts (parts better i.m.o as the full stream can be viewed on twitch if one likes to bench it for 3 hours)
Arrow Storm is good Arrow Spray can be good, if used as a shotgun skill on large enemies (hit with 80%+ of the arrows on the same target) Far Sight is a joke.
I love how you got into the mechanics of the game and what to and not to do to min/max. Alot of builds ive seen dont go into the small min/max details like you did. GJ
I'm in desperate need of your comeback... you drop these great videos, tbh If the case is that you play other games these days I would like to see that. Just give me anything with puns senpai!!
10:57 I really enjoyed my executioner huntsman on my first playthrough, was just so satisfying to finish off enemy after enemy from high up while dealing massive crit dmg.
Waow just started the game and lookedfor builds found your vids, stoped playing the game to watch your videos, you got to make a comeback whit thouse dank puns.
There's also the "Hehehe imma sneak attack u, kill 1, then go to stealth, then kill 1 more, then gtfo, then return and do the same until ur all dead" build
I actually use the lizards fire breath as a zoning tool for when I don’t want enemies to get close to me because enemies tend to avoid walking on fire.
wits is important for finding secrets as well. You can drink potions for a few more points when needed but you kinda have to at least have some points in it.
yeah meet him at a discord server he was a real douche tbh instead of explaining why he stopped making videos he was trying to explain why he isnt MR Ping from Kung Fu Panda for some reason
I'm just now playing this game with a friend of mine & we are running a lone wolf playthrough. I must say Apotheosis veil > Time Warp > Daggers drawn > Skin Graft > [ Crazy ability ] is amazing.
I went with Ifan as a ranger during my first playthrough, and it was awful. However, once I took your advice and spec'd him in summoning, I started having a lot of fun! Summon-Da-Rangement build ftw!
You could really cheese the game with summoning, sneak and assassinate. Not time prefficient but it's an option. Basically have your ranger or whoever you want to cheese with, make their move but leave over at least 1 AP so you can run. Have a character with summon (who is not in the fight), summon a creature outside of the fight and make the creature attack someone to join in on the fight. Now go back to your 1 AP ranger and make them run (there's a talent that allows you to run at anypoint in the fight). Come back, sneak, assassinate, finish the summons move, attack some more with your ranger but leave over 1 AP and repeat the cycle.
Tell me, how are you planning on fighting Dallis or killing Slane without the initiative? Additionally, ranger has a lot of powerful single target attacks, you can just go in, kill someone in the first turn and then run/turn dead. Also you can't use evasion/invisibility as effective withiut initiative, as delaying your turn will no longer help you as much. Ofc. Finesse will maje you deal more damage, but as you said, it has a cap and everything left afterwards is crit. Stench is not working btw.
Except you forgot that you can easily get 100% crit in this game with the ranger. And thus, there won't any comparison with Finesse vs Wit... When you crit 100% of the time your dmg output is MUCH more important than if you had more points into finesse but did not crit 100%. I'd strongly recommend to nearly max WIT.
You are missing that finesse also increases your crit damage. Lets say for example that your base damage is 10. At this point 11 points in finesse would increase your damage by 55% and you would hit 15,5 every time. At the same time increasing your wit by 100 (almost ten times more points) would help you crit every time, but as the crit modifier is 150% (assuming no points in scoundrel)you would do only 15 damage per crit. So only 11 finesse would be better than 100 wits.
If you're comparing things with only a single shot, of course it's better to get more Finesse. But if you're comparing on the reality of the game, let's say 5 arrows total or 10, make the calculation of 10x 100% crit shots minus 10 pts (for example) in Finesse, compared to 5 crit shots + 5 normal shots with +10 in Finesse, and you'll see ;) And if you're making this calculation with the entire shots you'll be doing in the game, it's even more obvious.
The difference between 100% crit chance and 50% would be 50 pts in finesse or wits, not 10. So lets calculate what your finesse would need start at in order to make those damage numbers equal. (X = % modifier with the start finesse) 10 Crit shots = 5 Normal shots + 5 Crit shots 10 * X * 150% = 5 * (X+250%) + 5 * (X+250%) * 150% 15 * X = 5 * X + 5 * 250% + 5 * X * 150% + 5 * 250% * 150% 15X = 5X + 1250% + 7,5X + 1875% 15X = 12,5X + 3125% 2,5X = 3125% X = 1250% To get a finesse damage modifier of 1250%, one would need to have finesse of 260. The simple fact is that the crit % from wits is way too minimal to make a difference. If the attributes would grow large enough, it would be eventually better to take some wits over finesse, but as the game works now, that is not the situation.
I'm not a huge fan of summoner on ranger because the few attacks they get scale with intelligence and ranger tree doesn't have a unique summon. What I do instead is stack scrolls and arrows on my ranger and use them as an unreachable nuker
any clear and written guide? im pissed for my character... I cant even remember what did I chose for them since you cant see in inventory profile! only their skills and im a newcomer!
the thing about criting is its actually better to get more damage on that one hit if it means you get the kill that hit. Think in pokemon flamethrower vs fire blast
Yes, I see your math on wits vs finesse for damage, but let me raise you this: Bold of you to assume everyone gets a turn. lone wolf talent, elf. Be the buff boyo(fortify/frost armor/haste/evasion/regen/first aid/LoTE/etc)on the charisma person talking to a potential(more than likely) combat encounter. Preparing the battlefield pre-emptively, summoning your dude, completely buffing him with whatever element you prefer (#bloods), then starting combat using the talker. Now your archer goes *first* a majority of the time (first opponent who outsped me was alice, and ended the game with 67 initiative due to maxed wits and armor buffs, which I dont remember anything outspeeding me at that point) allowing them to set themselves up, flesh sacrifice, bloody arrows, adrenaline, maybe a ballistic shot due to how OP it is, skin graft, adrenaline, flesh sacrifice. Haste yourself, and that combined with flesh sacrifice will allow you to actually have ap the next turn. Do what you want, and finish the turn with a chameleon cloak. Pair this with a crit chance bow/crossbow, and your dps is amazing, even at 50% crit chance. Having used your entire first turn to probably kill 1-2 enemies, with which I love Execution over The Pawn for that 1 extra shot, if not at least knocking them down with knockdown arrows. THEN YOU ALSO HAVE YOUR INCARNATE FULLY BUFFED TO ALSO DO KNOCKDOWNS. Really combines well with my Dagger/Shield tank that suffers in damage (the backstab crits help loads) but is great in CC. This was how I got my way through Tactical Honour mode. Pretty versatile, can be used for any situation, really, even the random fights you usually outspeed the enemies allowing you to create some protectionary countermeasures. Stats were something like 14(2)str, 40(20)fin, 10(0)con, 20(5)int, 40(20)mem, 40(20)wits without gear and with gear, and certain choices raising finesse and wits well into the 50's and 60's. Melee build also had its fair share of buffs etc, but she was mainly the support with at least 1(=2LW) point in every skill, focusing on summoning (maxed with armor bonuses on top), ranged, scoundrel, and warfare in that order while he worked on CC until she could start picking off the enemies one at a time. Edit: I should note that this build was VERY glass cannon. You needed to play VERY carefully. Constitution was a dump stat for it, and I chose to give up con for wits, as well as flesh sacrifice taking more and more con as you level. If you do not CC properly, or evade trouble properly, *you will die*.
1% crit chance does not actually mean you get 1 proc every 100 or you'll proc it in 100 attacks maximum. 1% crit chance mean in every attack there is a 1 in a 100 chance that you proc the crit. It's like every time you attack you dice a roll with 100 sides with only 1 side leading to your reward.
No clue if you're still reading comments but your content was a winner and is much needed, pls come back bb!
Wait, you recommend an elf and THEN change his name to Ifan ben-Mezd? xD
yeah such bullshit right. i noticed that too.
Elfan Ben-Mezd
I recently found your youtube channel and have been binge watching all your videos, then I realized that your last video was 9 months ago 😭 dude! You gotta come back and make your freaking good content!
Your rant was absolutely fantastic, it helped a lot in understanding how Warfare interacts with your attributes.
WHERE'D YOU GO QUACKSTACK??
For those who are a bit late to the party, the source skill with 15 arrows is awesome at point blank range
Started a 2 character playthrough recently and decked my elf out exactly as you did in this guide, flesh sacrifice truly is the gift that keeps on giving my enemies a hard time.

I liked the rant part. Detailed and you got your point across to the one paying attention at that part (at least I hope so :s).
haha very funy guy
rip this channel
Arrow Storm is good
Arrow Spray can be good, if used as a shotgun skill on large enemies (hit with 80%+ of the arrows on the same target)
Far Sight is a joke.
If you can aim that fucking inconsistent Arrow Spray, I swear to god that shitty hit detection is out to get me.
I love how you got into the mechanics of the game and what to and not to do to min/max. Alot of builds ive seen dont go into the small min/max details like you did. GJ
not even a minute in the video and already more puns, than I need for a week :D
ONE CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY PUNS!!
This way to talk about divinity is gold thank you. Great advice and funny. Your effort with the warfare vs finesse was lit. Thats dedication man
Here i am, re-watching every video this fella made, 7 times a week. Please return!
For those who don't know, Ifan is a Welsh name and the f in Ifan is pronounced as a v. E-van
I'm in desperate need of your comeback... you drop these great videos, tbh If the case is that you play other games these days I would like to see that. Just give me anything with puns senpai!!
When you find a great RUclipsr and see their last upload was a year ago
*ohno*
In my experience, combining stench with glass Cannon makes this build really good in a full party.
Waiting with immense anticipation for your BG3 class guides
hey quackstack, hope you still come back one day. we miss you
10:57 I really enjoyed my executioner huntsman on my first playthrough, was just so satisfying to finish off enemy after enemy from high up while dealing massive crit dmg.
Really miss you dude, you made some phenomenal content that was witty and hilarious. Hopefully you can find time to come and make us laugh again!
Love your content, mate. You're probably the most naturally humorous person I've seen on YT so far.
Man... I just got into Dos2 and these guides are hilarious. Wish I was here when you were mate. Hope all is well.
thank u for all your divinity videos!! they’re rlly nice to watch as i play thru the game for the first time :>
Waow just started the game and lookedfor builds found your vids, stoped playing the game to watch your videos, you got to make a comeback whit thouse dank puns.
"I'll see you in the next one" :,(
Dunno why but i love all of this channel content
The humor and the quality of editing is just really good.
Hope you come back from the dead bro
0:48 good you put a pause after that, otherwise I'd had to pause myself
I hope we 'll see you again when the divinity 3 hype beginns, can't wait for your Comeback!
Baldur's Gate 3 first I think ;)
Idk if you come back and look at these comments but this is one of the best guides ive seen on a video. Comedy and straight facts
WHERE YOU AT BRO???
Chapter11 yeah, it looks like he's a funny RUclipsr and the best Divinity original sin 2 build guide maker.. There's so much he could've done
The arrow recovery bit was gold, did not expect that at all subbed immediately.
There's also the "Hehehe imma sneak attack u, kill 1, then go to stealth, then kill 1 more, then gtfo, then return and do the same until ur all dead" build
Please correct this if I'm taken by mistake, but the critical multiplier is applied to ALL final damage, not just to the bonus damage.
I actually use the lizards fire breath as a zoning tool for when I don’t want enemies to get close to me because enemies tend to avoid walking on fire.
Came for the builds, but stayed for the puns and the math.
Don't give up on us dad. You're the chosen one.
Honeydew is delicious. If you buy one and cut it up yourself, it's great.
9:36 was this supposed to be funny...???
That "joke" = inadvisable
Can't wait for you to return man. Content is on point! Hope everything is ok on your end.
Thanks for the video. Whats keeping you from making more? I would be interested in BG3 guides
nice job man, even here in Brazil you are famous :)
Maycon Barroso Lima Brazil!!!
Just found this channel. I really hope this guy comes back...
Pls do more! Your humor, content and quality editing man! Waiting for more
Can someone explain to me the stuff at 2:51 please ?
I just found these and they are amazing
I came for the dwarf dance, but I stayed for the rest of the video... Wait.
wits is important for finding secrets as well. You can drink potions for a few more points when needed but you kinda have to at least have some points in it.
Great D-OS2 vids. How do you record your Gameplay for D-OS2? By chance, do you use OBS?
Hey can you please do an updated guide list for every build . I know it's been 5 years but worth the shot . Ty
what is the point of weapons: single hended, bows? etc
is it better to put your points into skills?
Come back quackstack, youve got a gift for this! :D naturally funny is hard to come by these days
Can you do a group build? Love all your guilds, but would love to hear how you would compose your group.
Just startet playing the game . what happemd to this channel ?
Trying to grow channel... Stops making content. :P
yeah meet him at a discord server he was a real douche tbh instead of explaining why he stopped making videos he was trying to explain why he isnt MR Ping from Kung Fu Panda for some reason
I'm just now playing this game with a friend of mine & we are running a lone wolf playthrough. I must say Apotheosis veil > Time Warp > Daggers drawn > Skin Graft > [ Crazy ability ] is amazing.
Hell yeah. Just got this game and am Gunna run this build on tactican mode!

Bro you had me laughing so hard. Good shit
are you the same guy from casually explained?
Question, Why would you put more points in Warfare rather than Range?
Your videos are SO good! Please make more! :D

Stench is not working btw.
So… what ratio should i have finesse to warfare on a ranger???
this is what my life needed you are like a sunburned albino but for divinty gr8 m8 thank you
Except you forgot that you can easily get 100% crit in this game with the ranger. And thus, there won't any comparison with Finesse vs Wit... When you crit 100% of the time your dmg output is MUCH more important than if you had more points into finesse but did not crit 100%.

15 * X = 5 * X + 5 * 250% + 5 * X * 150% + 5 * 250% * 150%
15X = 5X + 1250% + 7,5X + 1875%
15X = 12,5X + 3125%
2,5X = 3125%
X = 1250%
To get a finesse damage modifier of 1250%, one would need to have finesse of 260.

Still not my point but anyway :)
In this game you can go to 100% crit anyway without maxing WITS and maxing FIN at the same time so who cares :D
I'm not a huge fan of summoner on ranger because the few attacks they get scale with intelligence and ranger tree doesn't have a unique summon. What I do instead is stack scrolls and arrows on my ranger and use them as an unreachable nuker
Boring
@@SeventhheavenDK BIG Damage Isn't boring 😎
The sarcastic humor is on point in this vid perfect
X-Mas came early, as did I when I saw this up.
Addendum to your elf ranger song: forget about your worries and your *strafe*
Dude ur so funny, subscribed! :D
Are you gonna do any videos on Baldurs Gate 3?
Your commentary is awesome props for the spaceballs reference

I wasn't sure what you actually sttarted with. Any idea for creatiton?
Your puns have won you a subscriber sir! 😂
Loved the elf jokes! Thanks for this! Just started playing DOS2 and I turned Sebille into a Ranger... No regrets so far!
Ifan is my ranger on my monk build
I am interested in his story as well! But I'll probably save his quests for my subsequent playthroughs...
Best blink in the game. Are you a dota player?
When will Quackstack come back?
Papa, please come back...
Should I be adding to warfare or ranged first?
Oh man i just love coming to a good channel that has died... -.-
1% crit chance does not actually mean you get 1 proc every 100 or you'll proc it in 100 attacks maximum. 1% crit chance mean in every attack there is a 1 in a 100 chance that you proc the crit. It's like every time you attack you dice a roll with 100 sides with only 1 side leading to your reward.
