Just got a used DF 30 A looks new supposed 23h run time...Its in White /tilller with elec/tilt trim/long...Havn't even mounted it yet..Got some welding to do on my Alum 16 54 jon to do first
I have owned over 15 outboard engines since 1979, from a 15 hp to a 115, 2 stroke and 4 stroke. Johnsons, evinrudes, Mercury's, Yamaha, Honda, Suzukis. I currently own a 2019, 90 hp Honda, an amazing engine, a 2021 ,50 Mercury....made in CHINA, and a 2022 , 25 hp Suzuki. My 25 suzuki has electric start, rope start, power tilt and trim. Its a strong 25 hp , 3 cyl, 30 cubic in engine. When it comes to performance, their simply is no replacement for displacement. 3 cyl are stronger than 2, 30 cubic inches are stronger than 25. My 25 Suzuki has a top speed with 2 adults, full (TOO MUCH) gear of 28 mph on a 14 48 G3 jon boat. I'm running a 12 pitch prop. I'm very pleased with it......also it was thousands less the the "almighty" Yamaha. Reply
Hello, I've just ordered a Suzuki DF 30hp ATHL and I need to know big should I do the transom?? Can you tell me the lengh of yours?(if you have a long shaft type) By the book they say 508mm, but I ve mesured with a Suzuki 5hp and it has almost 590mm. I can't find a 30hp to measure. Can you help me figure it out? I need a lengh of your boat transom. Thank you
Where did you end up with the cavitation plate in relation to the keel? Parallel? A little above? I'm in the process of mounting the same motor to the same boat. Thanks!
First, I used reverse transom wedges because the mounting plate is flat and the transom is slightly convex. But the cavitation plate is almost parallel but slightly below - maybe 1/2 inch? I think if you're close to parallel, it should be fine. Hope that helps!
@@ckopchick4 Yes sir, that helps. It's right at parallel but was considering moving it up a notch. Gonna leave it where it is now. And I've got a local metal guy fabricating some wedges to fill that void between the mounting plate and transom. Thanks man, happy boating!
Was it was easy to hook up to the pulley steering? I have a vintage boat that I am looking to repower but want to keep the existing pulley steering system. Any information about the bracket and the steering connection you used on your new Suzuki would be much appreciated!
I actually made the bracket myself out of a piece of aluminum. It's 1"×3"...I think it's 1/8inch thick. I tried using some old OMC parts initially but they didn't fit. Hope that helps!
I am in the process of restoring a 1963 13 Whaler, will be ready in spring. Looking for info on were you purchased the motor, online or local. I'm in the Pewaukee area. Thanks.
Haha...I made it. I tried using some old OMC parts but they didn't fit the zuk...I'll get you my measurements. I searched high and low on this too, so I'm happy to help.

Amen! It's a great motor!
All talk no show.
Thanks.
Here's the first start. Maybe that has more of what you were hoping to see. ruclips.net/video/xWcdKZDr2yc/видео.html
Just purchased new 2022 Suzuki 15hp efi (white motor) and looking forward to getting it!
Nice! I love my 25!
That is nice bro👍
Im puting my 30 White on a 16 Starcraft.👍
That 13 is cleeean. Nice boat , nice motor. Hey whats the top speed?
Thanks! The boat definitely shows her age in some places, but don't we all lol?! Tops out at 27mph. That gets us to the sandbar plenty quick!
How’s it on fuel ? I got a new one on the way replacing a 83 Johnson 25 myself lol

The transom height is 20 or so inches. I bought a long shaft (20 inch) model.
Thinking of selling mine before I even start it. New tohatsu is 30 pounds lighter. This thing is so damn heavy!
Wow, 30 pounds?! That's awesome!

@@قيصرقيصر-ح7ل I would suggest looking on Suzuki's website and using the dealer locater feature

Outboarddirect.com. Good luck and nice meeting you!
How is it with 3 adults then 4 adults? Im ready to repower my 69' whaler.
Can't plane out with 4 adults. It's more of a tender in that scenario.
Do you have the part number for the bracket on the motor to accept old school steering. Currently rigging my 2020 df25 to my 1959 feathercraft boat

@@ckopchick4 thank you so much. Will fab up myself as well
You bet. It's just a 3" x 1" piece of aluminum that has three holes. I made a couple different versions and that worked best.
do you have a tach on your boat i have the 20 hp remote i cant seem to lacate the sender wire i checked the control box is it in the motor
I don't. There's a whole mess of wires I have packed and waterproofed.
