You need to have it in deeper water when you're running it in a tank like that. The water pump should be submerged as it has a hard time self priming itself if it's not submerged. I have a 2021 9.9 h.p. It's being a great motor so far. 56 hours on the clock.
Great video - definitely gonna get one for my 12 ft rib - motor definitely sounds quiet and they seemed to be priced super reasonable - Thx for posting.
Motor super easy, very portable, crazy how light that is, its pretty light, def not too heavy" = moment later we see 2 guys lifting it and transporting it. Lol. I know that its heavy and cumbersome to move around odd shape 100lb of weight
Not at all. We were just trying to get it out of the crate and all the packaging off without scratching it. I carried it all across the yard and have moved it several times myself with minimal effort
When you pull the throttle back, will it stay wide open if you take your hand off? Also I currently have a small electric start mercury that I want to replace with this same engine and was wondering if its a nuisance to pull start?
Fantastic video! Just what I needed as I am awaiting my 20hp Suzuki with power start. I am thinking it will be slightly heavier, but am encouraged to try to install on my own. Now could you have swapped the Galvanized bolts for stainless steel? Also I read about a transom saver , is that advisable, understood this is not a very heavy motor.
Stainless Steel would have been fine. I have never used a transom saver and never had any issues, my trailer has enough clearance that I can keep the motor trimmed down though so that does play a factor
my 15hp 2 stroke yamaha is being replaced with one of these this week. my decision was based on the weight of the suzuki, its close to 30 pounds lighter than the new 20hp yamaha or honda.
No need to add oil to the gasoline, correct? I have an old Evinrude that is past due for a replacement and it would be great not to have to fool with the oil/gas mixing. Enjoyed this video very much, thanks!
nice new engine bet it pushs your vessel over 30 w/ just you. I think the bolts are in backwards. what type of paint are using on the hull? do you have a paint sparyer gun?I'm wanting a 20hp but will have to get a 9.9hp bc I want binnical an 25" shaft.
Sounds nice. I used an air gun paint sprayer and total boat aluminum boat paint. It's great wherever I actually let it dry. I had to fish a tournament before the bottom had totally cured and some of it peeled off so I have to touch up some spots. If you follow the instructions it works great though
Just bought the 20 merc 2024 i was thinking about buying a suzuki 20 but i wanted 4 bolts to hold the motor because of the trim but i hope it runs good
Just absolutely loving it. Ran out in the bay and got some good ones this morning. It's running like a champ. The only thing that irritates me is it instantly throttles down if you take your hand off the tiller, there's no slow throttling down. Probably a great safety feature, but it is mildly irritating. Love everything else about it though
Online Outboards. They're based in Tennessee. Blown away with them. If you end up grabbing one tell them Emerald Tides sent ya. Maybe they'll give me some kind of branding deal 😂
It's got a handle on the mounting bracket. It's only 100lbs so I just grab it there and let it hang or reach my other hand around to the back of it and support it there too. It's not bad to move
I don't know which country you are in and not sure how to find link to where you ordered it but I would love to get one for that price. In Canada about 2 grand more sadly.

That makes sense. Thank you so much! Gonna stick you at the top so everyone can see this explanation
20 suzuki rm2000😅🙏 mersing
Beautiful motor. I am considering one myself. Congrats!
Thank you! I'm loving mine!

I appreciate the encouraging words! I hope you love yours too
Great video. Very detailed and demonstrated. Thank you for this video. This is the only good video I can find about this motor
Thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful!

Yeah I have it too, definitely not easy to carry around at over 100lbs but manageable as long as you don’t constantly take it on and off

Yep. No mixing! It's so much more convenient!
Awesome video, very informative.
Glad it was helpful!
Fancy!!
How’s it run?
Nice rig!
I love it. Thanks!

Good job on you video 👊
Appreciate it!
So now that you have had it for a month or so. what do you think? Any additional thoughts?

@@emeraldtidesoutdoors you can change that on the bottom side of the tillerarm
Do you find that tiller vibrates excessively on lower speeds?
It's got some vibration but I'm not sure if I'd call it excessive.
I hope you put in gear oil too
It came prefilled from the dealer I got it from
20 suzuki mersing rm2000😊
Nice motor. How much does it cost please ???
I spent $2800 total
Bro, where is the details on that deal?
Online Outboards. They're based in Tennessee. Blown away with them. If you end up grabbing one tell them Emerald Tides sent ya. Maybe they'll give me some kind of branding deal 😂
Its quite heavy, how to carry it

Did you get the deal on outboards online? 2700?
I did! They were great to work with
@@emeraldtidesoutdoors good to know man I definitely gotta get on that deal!
Bought an 8hp tahotsu overstock deal from online outboard.
I don't know which country you are in and not sure how to find link to where you ordered it but I would love to get one for that price. In Canada about 2 grand more sadly.
I ordered it from Online Outboards. Not sure if they ship to CA
Can this engine charge a battery?
If you have the electric start version it will. I got just the pull start as it was a bit cheaper
bounces around a lot for a 4 stroke efi
What do you mean?
Y not tohatsu 20?
The suzuki was cheaper and had better specs, also seems to have better resale value, in my area at least
Put some alcohol free gas in that motor, it will run better.
👍
