I put a 200 on my 1999 champion 202 only after following your channel. Tell Suzuki that. I didn’t want the extra weight on my older transom, and at 66, speed is not my top priority, dependability is. It is absolutely the best motor I have ever owned. It is wonderful.
I've been running a 2021 DF300B on a custom 28' Aluminum boat offshore on the coast of Oregon. We are at 470 hours and I am blown away by the performance of this motor. The boat weighs about 7500 most days and we run it hard chasing TUNA! and most anything else we want to fish for. We burn 87 octane street gas and have not had any problems.
I bought a new 25 hp Suzuki 4 stroke FI. 5 years ago. Love it!!! Replaced a 40 hp johnson. (My boat is rated for 30hp) got it on a 15 foot Express john boat. My wife and I fish a lot here in Alabama. Flawless motor, gets great fuel economy.
I watched a couple die in a boat that was 10HP overpowered like yours. They put those ratings on the boats for a reason. Admittedly this couple did something stupid (hard over giving full throttle - boat flipped over) but we do stupid things sometimes. The 2 young children on board lived because they had PFD's on but now they have no parents.
When my Optimax blew up, I repowered my 2013 Triton 21HP with a 250ss. My local Mercury dealer started selling Suzuki. I chose to go with Suzuki due to reliability. There is not a lot of setup info for my combo and no one in my area running a Suzuki on a bass boat. It took time and a lot of props to get it right. Thanks to your channel, I ended up with a Scorpion prop and swapped out the inlet screens. I lost 3 mph but I have seen 72 with the Suzuki. If I had it to do over again I would go Suzuki again and again. Thanks Team Marine for your informative videos.
From what I read on the Spec sheets Suzuki usually gears the lower units with more gear reduction so finding a prop they like is much different that a Merc, tohatsu, or other
I used to run a 2007 Suzuki DF40 and I only have good things to say about it. It had some issues, but they could have easily been avoided with proper maintenance. The issues that even the repair shops couldn't solve(but happily took my money) made me take matters into my own hands and fix it, and it was very easy to work on. When it ran as it should, it had astonishing fuel economy, extremely low noise level at cruising speed and an amazing amount of torque for a 4 stroke of that size, due to bigger displacement than the competitors even to this day. I used to load up my 14ft inflatable with up to 9 people, and it would pull us up on plane with the standard prop and it still operated within recommended WOT rpm range. It made a nice growl too, being a 3 cylinder. Even though I ran Hondas, Yamahas and Mercs, there was something about Suzuki that spoke to me on a different level, and it may be subjective but if I was buying another outboard, it would most probably be Suzuki.
Comment below on it you're running a Suzuki Outboard and let us know if our videos either persuaded you to buy one or at least go check them out. Thanks everyone.
I repoword my 1990 wellcraft v20 with a new suzuki df225 in 2015. I know its not a bass boat. But I absolutely love the motor. Could not be happier with it. It will push my heavy boat in the lowe 50s.
I’ve had a 2020 Suzuki 200SS on my 2002 Ranger 520 DX for 2 years. Lost speed from 62 down to 49 from my old evinrude ficht 225 Rude Ram. Love the Suzuki but hate I lost that much.
Love them Suzuki outboards! Thanks for all the help with getting mine propped correctly! Made my entire boat perform better. Solas Amita4 4 blade is the best thing that ever happened to the tin boat platform. Got my first one from Andy and it lasted 6 years (thank you river gods) before I “found” some rocks with it last weekend. New one came in two days ago 😂
I owned a rib in the Mediterranean with two Suzuki 300 ap and I have done almost 500 hours without a single problem. Now I went for a bigger rib, about 12.5 meters and I decided to go again with 3 Suzuki 300 apx. Always used Suzuki and I will again and again
great video andy , telling the truth in a world full of lies, you are the "scotty kilmer " of the outboard world and i absolutely love your coverage of that SUZUKI 250SS BEAST !
I have a 2006 Df140..I'm pleased with it. Very quiet and reliable. I have it in a 2006 Key west Bay Rrrf 196. I get up to 40 to 45 mph with trim tabs and correct trim level. Hopefully motor will last. I use amsoil products with gear oil and power head oil changes.
I’m going to pick up a Gator Trax center console 21 foot with a Suzuki 250SS on Wednesday. Really excited about it!! Your videos were the main reason I chose Suzuki. I’ll let you know how it does after I’ve ran it for a while.
I’ve owned Suzuki since 1995. I just traded in my 25hp short shaft electric start 3 cyl ,three carb which had siix yr. Warranty that I never used. I just bought an 2021 -4 stroke 25 hp. short shaft electric start with power tilt and trim which has an 5 yr warranty. I broke it in this last yr being my first 4 stroke that I have ever owned. It’s so quiet with no smoking at early morning start ups. In my two weeks fishing at our yearly resort this 4 stroke used about a third as much fuel as we have been used to going thu. Pulling the grand-kids in tubes is nice that I can actually hear them screaming while having fun.😀
My family purchased two different 115 suzukis about 3 months apart. One ran 43 from the dealer with a 20p. Put a 24 on it and raised the motor 1 3/4 and its now running 54 on the limiter. We told the dealer we wanted to try a 26 and they told me I was crazy. They had never heard of a 115 with a 24p wanting more prop. For a 115 there pretty damn impressive to say the least.
I had zuk 75hp ran it for 9 years plugs lower unit oil and water pumps only maintenance ever needed used it mainly Texas but from Mexico to Canada on fishing trips great motors
I repowered my last boat with a 2019 Suzuki DF200. Amazing engine, plenty of torque, more than doubled my fuel range from the Mercury 2 stroke 150 it had. Very quiet, and easy to maintain. Would buy another one without even thinking about it. Also like the fact there is no timing belt to seal with
100% agree! I just purchased the 200 HP. 2 people test gets 5800 rpm. Then 4 people test only 5200 rpm? Not even try 6 people and contacted the dealer. I want my engine at 6000 to 6100 rpm loaded. Ends removing the propeller 3x16x23R and requesting 3x16x18.5R , I still waiting on the mail to arrive. I feel sorry for the customer without the knowledge and experience when the dealers are doing repower living the customer with a new engine and poor engine performance.
Running a 2013 df175 on a 22ft supertunnel with a little over 900 hrs and have never had a problem or been left stranded. I am a maintenance maniac , remember too change those anodes..my boat only runs in salt in south Texas
I had several Suzukis. DT4 - perfect little trolling motor! Shame it drowned. DT30 - corroded away even in brackish waters, but it was a beast of it's own time. Great oldtimer... DF50 - sweet engine. 3 cylinder... and just check it's compression! Never, never run a low octane on such compression engine. It will knock and it will overheat. Is you are not able to get the boat on plane fast, or you want to pull another boat ashore for prolonger time under load - it will overheat.
the Super-Six DT150 had the dual plug heads . Not talking EFI, but the early ones had I.C. Ignition then the floating-timing curve MicroLink system. Both were very easy to work on once you understood how they functioned and extremely reliable in my opinion. The sensors were all so easy to test, and as long as the ICU had power, it just worked. Ok there were a few failures early on, but again super advanced for their day. As far as carbs and CD ignitions go, even to this day I havent seen a more advanced system being fully digital. The 2.7 liter blocks were easy to make a 150 into a 200, and made huge torque.
Hi I am a Suzuki Dealer in the UK. I see you don't like the rigging grommet and I agree it is a pain. I have an answer for you which I hope will make your life easier. Check out 67300-90J00 for DF70A to DF140A and 67300-93J00 for DF150 to DF350 Thru Hull Hose Attachment. They just leave a big hole which is what you wanted. They are shown on Page 33 of the current Suzuki P&A Catalogue. Always like to check out what you guys are doing over the pond. Keep up the good work.
LOL, I have a 2003 DT150 (2 stroke) and still running strong(ish) Looking to repower in a Zuki 150-200hp with drive by wire (throttle and gear selection only) The fact that this 20 year old 2S is still running is a testament IMHO, its just that critical parts are getting impossible to find and I have killed all the mosquitos in 1 square mile with startup insect fogging LOL.
I'm putting a new 30 HP on my rebuilt 16' SS StarCraft. It's been on back order for 3 months. I think they don't need more dealers. They have their hands full getting motors to Coastal Asia and Africa.
You guys are the best RUclips channel. You are also THE reason I purchased Suzuki outboards(90 Tiller and 9.9 power tilt). They are starting to make a real showing in the Pacific Northwest.
You're spoiling it for me, lol Pacific Northwestern here and I bought a Suzuki because this is Merc and Yamaha country and I didn't want to be like everyone else.
Having used merc and johnson for the last 35+ years, i was very happy when i upgraded to a suzuki during the lockdown before prices went insane on everything.
Hey Team, I have a Suzuki DF90A on my Stingray 182sc. The package is a 2020 year model. I only have around less than 25 hours on it. I’ve had it in the water one time this year and 14 hours on it in 2020. I got hurt in March of 2021 and was unable to take it out that year and most of this year. But so far I have to say that I really like it!
I have a 1989 seaswirl 17' Tempo out here in the PNW with a mint 120 johnson. If I had to get new motor I would really like that 140. Glad to hear it is a beast of a motor.
Buddy is running a 250ss on a 1999 tr-21 triton, just swapped to the new atlas hydraulic jack plate, it bent the old one rated for 300hp, loaded with poles, 36 altex runs 78-80 depending on conditions
Nice info. I hung a DF140BT on my boat this week and have the rigging tube/gromet to deal with tomorrow. Going on an old 354V Ranger should be interesting what it runs. Had an XR6/150 and would run right about 60 on a cool morn. I am thinking 53-55. We will see.
That rigging tube is communist. @@sha6mm I am late with this, lol, but it ended up @53mph. Propping these is very diff. The gear case ratio is very diff. I expected to us a 23p based on Yamaha and Merc experience. Man was that wrong, I am running a 26p and hitting 6100rrpm WOT. I am very pleased, the hole shot is great and the fuel economy is outstanding. I did the Engine Interface cable to bring the engine data to my Garmins. Shows everything from hours, fuel consumption water temp, motor trim position... and a krap load more.
I both sold and setup Suzuki's and I run a 2019 200 on a 2002 Nitro. Setup is very much a science experiment and I still tinker with mine. Pontoons and tinners are no problem. I'm pretty sure I know what I have to do to get the most out of mine (a bravo and a hydraulic plate). I just have to bring myself to spend the money to do it. Right now - 25p Suzuki 3 blade, 3.75 below pad on a 10" slidemaster gets me just about 59mph before I hit the rev limiter. The boat is still picking up speed and lifting when it does.lol I know my boat hull is a turd and only adds to the puzzle, but man what a motor. Ive been out of the marine game since 2016 but we were selling a couple truck loads of zukes a year back then and almost never saw them back in the shop. The Bad? Suzuki only manufactures a predetermined amount of outboards per year and once they sell out- thats it. Buy them early as trying to find one midseason can sometimes be a chore. You dont often find blow out pricing on year ends and non-current Suzuki's.
You nailed that. Got a 2018 Ocqueteau Ostrea 800 with a Suzuki 200HP 2.9L 4 cylinder and I cant find a dealer who will set it up properly. I wanted a better top speed and higher cruising speed so wanted to change the prop.... Can't get any help so now Suzuki sucks....PS went through 3 dealers trying to get a service done.
Andy was an influence on me when I purchased my 2020 250SS. I had an Etec 225 on my 2001 203 ChampioN at the time. I have owned Evinrude, Mercury's and Johnsons and Yamahas outboards. I still own a Yamaha and a Merc. So I can say the Suzuki is the most fuel-efficient, and the quietest I have ever had. As per performance goes, well I just did my 300 hr checkup and have had no problems with the motor other than tearing the skag off when I hit something under the water, When my insurance adjuster looked at it he could not believe the gears were in great shape to his surprise. I have good top-end speed @ 71mph. Most people know the Champion is the best riding boat ever made but not a speed boat like Allison. To the Na sayers, I will say u don't know what u don't know!
I am highly considering getting the Suzuki 9.9 for my next motor. It is a simple upgrade to the 20 from there. Which will push my 1436 Jon to about 34mph max... but can cruise without trying at 20mph.
I have an old 15'8" aluminum traveler. ('90 last year of production). It's rated for a 60, has a huge tunnel. Has Evinrude's 48SPL and have been wanting to upgrade ever since the ETEC's came out. That old 48 just won't quit. Now want a 50 or 60 Suzuki... darn Rude won't quit. Can't justify 7k on a boat that ain't broke.
I own the white Gatortrax 21' Strike, with 300 Suzuki they posted in March. Sea level, I rip the 27p Scorpion 6200+rpm, and mid 70mph. 4800' elevation, and I run 5600, and mid 60's. Not shabby for a 3k+ pound aluminum battleship!!
My boat yard was selling a TON of Suzukis and had lots of problems in the 300hp class. The 250’s though hav been bomb proof, I just had to change out the Internal Air Controller almost from start. It was under warranty but never threw a damn code for 3 years until i got it to finally show long enough for the boat yard to be able to warranty it.
Yes your videos 💯 made me buy a Suzuki!! The first one I ran was a 150SS I put on my Stratos and it was love at first key turn. Then I got a Falcon with a 250SS and I freaking love it. I won’t own another outboard unless Suzuki really $hits the bed! I top out at 70MPH with a 27” scorpion which is great because I might get 3-4mph more with a Merc but I don’t want a POS motor just for a couple miles per hour.
I have a 2020 175 on a ranger 692. 50mph@6000. Absolutely love the motor. I have factory 3 blade prop. It struggles a little bit to get on pad with 2 guys fully loaded. Would really like to play with some different propping
I bought the 250 SS after watching your videos. Its been great so far. Awesome hole shot and mid range power. Haven't really ran it wide open much but can easily get the mid 60's on a Nitro Z-9. The new water grip prop works great.
Hello. Just re powered to a 2022 DF 140. Went from a Honda 90 to the 140. Still in break in period, under 10 hours but over 4 or so. My set up from dealer non existent! They basically matched the height of the 90 and threw on a prop and said I was good to go. Didn’t do any sea trials as I really wanted them to do this to make sure it’s right. I think I need more height. Haven’t had it wide open yet so can’t really comment on that. Motor is on a 18’ Hewescraft aluminum boat.
Recently purchased a Suzuki 150APX , Team Marines videos basically sold me on a Suzuki instead of a Merc as a run a single engine setup on my offshore centre console and reliability was the number one priority. Take delivery next week and cant see how it goes compared to the old 130hp Honda I had on it before.
The 2006 DF25 3 cylinder motors would vapor lock like no one’s business. Dad had one on a Lund and couldn’t drive down the lake if the temps were above 70 without continually pumping the primer bulb. Spent more time at the dealer its first 3 years than on the lake. Lower unit locked up in first 10 hours, second lower unit ALWAYS leaked water but passed both pressure and vacuum tests.
I know a inshore guide down here in Texas who just replaced a 7 year old 300 suzuki that had 6500 hours. Motor still ran fine. We went with another 300 suzuki.
The old Exante....12 NGKs and DT 150 Bass. Late 90's early 2000s we had a ton of Commercial guys on the DT V6s and we rebuilt a ton of them. Would love to find a Cherry DT30 3 cylinder- best tiller jon boat engine I ever had.
I thought it was funny he had ZERO actual complaints about the DT v6 motors. he literally made no sense. I suspect he personally has no idea how they work , thus the outcome of what he said. the reality is those motors had a STELLER service record. so good, in fact, Suzuki doubled the warranty to an unheard of 3 years in 1987, just one year after introduction. ask yourself this: the same basic design remained virtually unchanged up to stop of production. thats a testament to the design, and is obviously the motor that allowed them to pursue 4 strokes. if they had been a failure, Suzuki would not be in the outboard business today. fact. 99% of issues were with the idiot owners. i bet your commercial guys got over 2500 hrs out of them easily.
Instead the outboard companies idling their larger motors down enabling them to troll, they should simply put two forward speeds in the lower end, one fast and one bull low speed for trolling. slow trolling at 1000 to 1200 rpm'. I do it with trolling bags. Great video by the way. So far we love our Suzuki. Interesting how Honda is rarely mentioned in these outboard comparisons anymore.
Hey, great video. Very informative. I bought a 2022 Suzuki 200 APX fly by wire. The only issue I have so far is some proper chatter. Other than that, the motor seems great. What is your opinion on this motor and is there any issues I should keep an eye out for? Thanks.
Suzuki needs a better dealer network. Id consider them if they had partnered with any boat brands around here or even had a dealer that sold them/serviced them
@@TeamMarineService We were just cruising between 45-55, that SeaArc is a big boat. You could tell it had a lot more though, and it would power through turns with ease (weaving around stump fields on Fork)
You definitely hit the nail on the head. My first Suzuki was a 2017 175hp on a 20' Shallow Sport saltwater boat here in Texas. A year and a half ago I purchased a 24' Shallow Sport boat with a junked Yamaha 250' SHO and knew that a 250ss was going to replace that motor. That's when I found your channel was was told to purchase different intake grates which I did before the boat ever got home from the shop. Other than propping the motor (the shop sure isn't going to help) you definitely can't go wrong with the Suzuki. Every weekend I get to the Texas coast, I see more Suzuki's and less of the other brand and coincidentally less break downs on the water!!!! Keep up the great channel...
I have 2021 DF70a on a 87 StarCraft mariner 180 cc... Fabulous motor. Already put 300hrs on it and no issues. Quiet, good on gas, amd torquey. I was told the df70 and 90 are the same motor its just a ecu upgrade. Can anyone confirm this?
Purchased a 250ss for my 2013 bass cat cougar ftd. Team marine definitely persuaded me to get one. Pros on my boat. Mid range and holeshot is great. Cons lost at least 5mph very limited on propping correctly
Well… I’m about to do some testing of a new Suzuki 50hp on a 17’ duck hunting boat this fall. Should I install a jack/ kick plate? Semi-v, step transom 17’ 56” across the floor with a 68” beam, tiller drive. What should I expect speed wise? Mid 30’s is what I’m thinking
GOOD: 1. Price point. 2. Warranty. BAD: Lower unit gear ratio. Sensor failure. From idle speed to WOT, the engine hesitates. UGLY: Outdated styling. My review is based on two years of running a 2019 Suzuki DF140A.
Finding comparable boats to prop against is the bad in my opinion. A merc 175 runs 25p prop and due to the gear ratio the suzuki needs much more. I currently bounce off the Rev limiter with a 27p. When I got the money I'll try to run bigger props.
I looked for my new 2020 boat with a Suzuki on it because of you. Love it but I'm thinking I need to tweak with the prop. I have a 175hp on my 219 Sea pro and only getting 5400 RPM trimmed about 30%.
I have a 2021 9.9 Suzuki 4 stroke..no issues with it at all, very quiet, great on gas, fresh water only. The ugly..it's heavy 105lbs with electric start I purchased it for my dinghy but it's too heavy to man handle off the swim platform onto the dinghy. I have it on a 15' aluminum fishing boat..
I just got a used df140 put new harness to the front of boat but can't get to start all it will do is back fire when you first try to start. All I have is a key trim and shifter switch hooked up at the dashboard. I'm I missing something that is needed to run the motor
Suzuki certainly has taken over the off shore market. tons of boats in flordia have em. tbh i didnt see a single boat with mercs way down south. yami and suzuki
Suzuki doesn’t want that many dealers, they want you to have a boat line. There’s more service shops than boat dealers. Been trying to get it for a few years. I’m a been to Suzuki school in GA.
I have a 175 on a 22’ bay boat and i have the wrong prop. My RPM goes to 7k. I obviously never run it that hard, the one I have now is a 3x16x21.5 any clue which I need? My goal is top end speed
In the uk nearly all boats run in salt water, suzuki seems to have an issue with internal corrosion, great for me, pull the heads, tig up rebuild all good to go. Do you guys see any internal corrosion out there?
I'm on vancouver island, biggest thing I see with Suzuki is lack of support. I dont even know where I'd buy one from, im sure I could Google it. If I need a merc I know I can go across the road and find one. I'm sure its the same with parts. I'm real jelly of them guys running the 140... that thing looks deadly
I like Ymaha and suzuki but i used to run a 32’ safe boat that had a pair of 4 stroke hondas and let me say those things are tanks. They are not fast but dang do they last and we ran those things like a street walker trying to come up with rent money. I believe we had about 3k hours on them before we had any issues and i think if i remember correctly it was a thermostat that went out on one.
I put a 200 on my 1999 champion 202 only after following your channel. Tell Suzuki that. I didn’t want the extra weight on my older transom, and at 66, speed is not my top priority, dependability is. It is absolutely the best motor I have ever owned. It is wonderful.

250 SS on a Manitou pontoon 2022 best engine I have ever owned, starts every time quiet and powerful
Awesome James!
You did push me the Suzuki direction as a result of you comparison reviews

90 or 90SS I'm looking for a great motor for my tin rig

what about the props for the bad or is it only applying to motors
Love them Suzuki outboards! Thanks for all the help with getting mine propped correctly! Made my entire boat perform better. Solas Amita4 4 blade is the best thing that ever happened to the tin boat platform. Got my first one from Andy and it lasted 6 years (thank you river gods) before I “found” some rocks with it last weekend. New one came in two days ago 😂
Bought a new suzi 115 feb 2020. Through 300 hours it has been great in every respect.
20hp Suzuki on my 14 Starcraft. Gets my family out fishing and learned about it here. No regrets love the time with my kids and wife
90 tiller here. Had a remote 90 before. Love that motor. So quiet and civilized running motor.
140 Suzuki, 2022 definitely wanted a Suzuki from watching you guys Yamaha was second pick, very happy with my Suzuki turn the key and it goes.
We still run a 2006 DF150. ~2K hours currently. It’s bulletproof. Quiet, efficient, reliable. Liked it so much I bought a 2009 2.5 for our dinghy. 😊
I have a 05 Johnson which is a Suzuki engine and it still runs great with one turn of the key at 1700 plus hours on both engines.
I owned a rib in the Mediterranean with two Suzuki 300 ap and I have done almost 500 hours without a single problem. Now I went for a bigger rib, about 12.5 meters and I decided to go again with 3 Suzuki 300 apx. Always used Suzuki and I will again and again
You videos are the reason I went with a Suzuki outboard for my bass boat!
DF140 is best engine I’ve ever had. I sold the boat and motor years ago. Motor outlasted the boat!
great video andy , telling the truth in a world full of lies, you are the "scotty kilmer " of the outboard world and i absolutely love your coverage of that SUZUKI 250SS BEAST !
Love my old 04 Suzuki DF115! Bullet proof, easy to work on, was designed to be easily serviced, and it’s been so bullet proof!
I just wished they used anodes inside the powerheads like Yamaha
200 on GT 20 ft. 1 year only 0 issue with motor. Limited service support in California. Chose it because of you and Tom.
Typical that dealers never fail to fail when rigging a boat.
I had zuk 75hp ran it for 9 years plugs lower unit oil and water pumps only maintenance ever needed used it mainly Texas but from Mexico to Canada on fishing trips great motors
I have a DF-140 since 2004. Great Motor, only oils change and minimum maintenance!!!
Hello from the US Gordon! You understand the pain. Thanks for the tip buddy
I have a 1999 DT115 Suzuki on my 1999 duracraft funster still runs great wouldn’t change for anything
Where are all you Suzuki fans at out there?
People just don’t know……… YET! You’re helping change that for the better
Suzuki #1
True dat!
I own 2 Suzuki outboards on 2 different style boats and they are excellent on both platforms. Highly recommend Suzuki to anyone looking to repower
I moved from a Merc pro xs 2 stroke to a 250 SS because of Andy!
Smart man!
I have a 2022 Suzuki 115SS on my alumacraft pro175 and I love it. Not getting enough rpms though. Probably a prop thing but I still love it.
I have a 1989 seaswirl 17' Tempo out here in the PNW with a mint 120 johnson. If I had to get new motor I would really like that 140. Glad to hear it is a beast of a motor.
Suzuki people doesnt need to talk with anybody, because Suzuki Is best outboard ever , here in Argentina we already know this
Buddy is running a 250ss on a 1999 tr-21 triton, just swapped to the new atlas hydraulic jack plate, it bent the old one rated for 300hp, loaded with poles, 36 altex runs 78-80 depending on conditions
WoW!! I have a 2001 TR-21 with original 250 XB….. May have me leaning to a Suzuki….
Great video Andy!
Thanks!
Nice info. I hung a DF140BT on my boat this week and have the rigging tube/gromet to deal with tomorrow. Going on an old 354V Ranger should be interesting what it runs. Had an XR6/150 and would run right about 60 on a cool morn. I am thinking 53-55. We will see.
How did it turn out for top speed ? I am looking at this 140hp

What prop are you running on your 203 Champ with the 250ss?
@@jawsmod Mercure Mirage Plus 27 pitch. they don't make this prop anymore but you might find one at a prop shop.
I am highly considering getting the Suzuki 9.9 for my next motor. It is a simple upgrade to the 20 from there. Which will push my 1436 Jon to about 34mph max... but can cruise without trying at 20mph.
Thank You for all You do, especially the information you share across America.
I appreciate that J Mac! I do it for y'all!!!
Team marine TV checking in!
Most knowledgeable guy. U can tell by the way he speaks 😊
absolutely love my suzuki 250. thanks for the info.
Speed money no brakes !I love it, best saying In the industry !
Had my Suzuki for 10 years never a problem.
Watching y’all’s videos is a main reason I bought the new 2500ss. Installed on a unicorn for set up 01 x21.
Just purchased a 2024 175. Hope its dependable as everyone claims.
Wow that's crazy.
Thanks.
They are solid overall. Not the best 200 hp option for bass boats but we are working on that issue. Offshore guys are liking them
Suzuki needs a better dealer network. Id consider them if they had partnered with any boat brands around here or even had a dealer that sold them/serviced them
Went out with a crappie guide that had a SeaArk with a 250ss. Thing was so smooth and quiet.
Awesome! That SS move that SeaArk pretty good?
What's up Andy What's up Neil What's up Speed, Money, No Brakes!! 💥🤙
What's up Buddy! Hello from all of us
I love my 03johnson 115 four stroke. Which is actually a DF115
Purchased a 250ss for my 2013 bass cat cougar ftd. Team marine definitely persuaded me to get one. Pros on my boat. Mid range and holeshot is great. Cons lost at least 5mph very limited on propping correctly
Give us a call and lets get that propping figured out for ya. Shouldn't have lost that much mph. Should be within 1 mph or so from a Merc or Yamaha
@@TeamMarineService 👍🏻
Considering a new basscat cougar hybrid. What prop did you end up with and was is your average top speed now?
Great video, now what you think about 2004 SUZUKI 225HP FOUR STROKE OUTBOARD, is a good or bad?
This videos helps me to get my fist suzuki dt30 😅 awesome machine
I have a 2021 9.9 Suzuki 4 stroke..no issues with it at all, very quiet, great on gas, fresh water only. The ugly..it's heavy 105lbs with electric start I purchased it for my dinghy but it's too heavy to man handle off the swim platform onto the dinghy. I have it on a 15' aluminum fishing boat..
Yes, bring on the big three!
What have you guys heard of Suzukis 4-4-2 program?.....can ya maybe do a video on it.....
Yes sir! 2018 Suzuki 150 , super happy thus far. Switching from a 4 blade 23p to a 3 blade 23p. Hoping to gain a bit of top end.
Just repowered with a 115 Suzuki, have not water tested yet
I have a 175 on a 22’ bay boat and i have the wrong prop. My RPM goes to 7k. I obviously never run it that hard, the one I have now is a 3x16x21.5 any clue which I need? My goal is top end speed
Great info! what's the life expectancy on a 250? serviced and well taken care off
In the uk nearly all boats run in salt water, suzuki seems to have an issue with internal corrosion, great for me, pull the heads, tig up rebuild all good to go.
Do you guys see any internal corrosion out there?
Do a video on the 150/175/200 4 cyl VVT offset drive shaft 2.5 gear ratio!!
