I have a 1542 Alumacraft with a 20hp Suzuki and I run a 12” prop also. Great combination. Mine only runs 28mph. Would love to get over 30mph with mine. Your boat is awesome!
Very cool it looks like I need to change my prop I'm using the 10 that comes with it I did notice that it gets up on quick I have the power trim in the electric start but I don't have the Jack Plate
got her running good ….ive got a loaded 14/42 southfork 100 gauge all welded with a new zuki 20 hp …best performance i’ve got is 1 1/2 above bottom ,,5 1/2 inches setback on a bobs machine mini jack ….11 pitch solas at 27.6 mph at 6250 rpm’s @wot
Really like how the grab bar is setup on your boat. Did you build it yourself, or was it purchased from somewhere? Looking to install one on my 1436 as well and mount my depth finder to it
I just bought a 15. What speed were you moving idling in gear? My Klamath 14 idles at 1.9, tops out at 22. Plenty fast enough, but I wish the speed off idle was lower.
I have a 2018 tracker Grizzly 1448 Mod- V that's all welded powered with a 25 HP Evinrude -E tec will do 28mpg with two 200 lbs plus dudes aboard. One person it would easily go over 30mph. To bad Evinrude didn't make it through covid...
I just bought a new 1648 grizzly tracker from bass pro and ordered a 30hp suzuki with electric start and power tilt/ trim white of course! And the best ive gotten so far is 27mph. Do u recommend i change my prop?
Up to you. If you like the way the boat runs then keep it. If you want to get a tachometer and fine tune with different props then go for it. I’m sure you can push out 30+ but 27 is plenty fast
Have the grizzly 17/54 with a 30hp mercury and with a 9.9 13p solas prop it’s going 32mph. Tried a power tech 9.87 12p and was hitting rev limiter, the 13p it’s sitting at 6150rpm at wide open throttle.
From the sound…….you are making enough rpm. That’s about as fast as you want to go in that boat. Trust me on that……The wind would get ya……..Over 35 and uiucatch a breeze your flipping. I would say you have it dialed in perfect.

Check out outboard efi. They claim to tune your ECU to 25 mph. $600. Should be getting mine back this week.
@@5558bobHow did it turn out?

Good performance! Nice setup

The grab bar was bought at a pool supply store. Standard aluminum 24” railing. Through bolted right to the middle seat. So far holding well
B&G! Great people to work with man! I was a sub.
Not too smart having that long of a tiller handle and no lanyard attached
And no life jacket.
Have you thought about trying a perma trim cav plate. I have a similar boat and am thinking about trying that so I can run with the jackplate higher.
I haven’t thought about doing one but they seem interesting. I think I’m pretty happy with how the little boat performs
What brand is the 12 pitch prop?
was watching and noticed my local ramp in okeechobee haha, got the same motor as well running stainless
Any extra noise with a ss prop? What brand? Thanks
A fellow local 🙌🙌
@@WeekendPirate been watching for a while 🤘🏼 once i finish up the next microskiff build we’ll get out on the water
Very nice setup
Enjoying the build. Where are you finding the props on sale? I’m running a 14/36 with 15hp Suzuki and looking to pitch up as well.
Amazon, I just have been buying cheap props nothing crazy and they are doing just fine. The 11p was $70 and the 12p was on sale for $45
Great video, where did you get the grab bar?
@@obageegee Amazon just look around for pool grab bars. I think this was a 24”
i got a hangkai 18 horse 2 stroke on my 1436 tracker and it will top out at about 32mph with just me in it

Honestly I don’t know what speed I’m getting at is I’ll have to check next time I’m out
What hack plate are you running?

Put a tach on it first before switching props.

Could you make a video doing a run down on everything you’ve done to it and the total cost
Yeah I think I can make a short of that. I’ll make this weekend 🤙
@@WeekendPirate much appreciated 🤙
I have the same boat. Tohotsu 20hp with 12 pitch goes 25mph. How are you getting 30? Is my motor to low?
Not sure, maybe it’s the jack plate. Test it with the motor on different trim levels
I'm going to try to copy your set up exactly
Go for it!

Yeah, I felt it. Gets sketchy over 30 so I’m keeping it as is lol
That motor doesn’t make enough power to take advantage of a stainless prop, save your money.
But your bow is “porpoising” that bouncing up and down. Trim is too high. Trim down just a knotch
