- Small boats run Haulover, I've been collecting these small boat video clips for over a year to make a special small boats only video. Who says you need a superyacht to run Haulover, little boats can hit the waves and get the girls too.
Boats in this video.. Williams Ribs, Highfield Ribs, Mako, Boston Whaler, Carolina Skiff and more!

You mean normal boats for normal people??
3.5 to 7 meters . . And having fun too :)
Better captains than 95% of the big boats with million dollar price tags
10/10.
They are forced to be good, can‘t get away with incompetence in boats this size.
Boat size is directly related to the time spent on the water. Small boat captains always have much more engine hours at the end of the season 😁👍
@@mds-lf3kl they can afford to fill the tank more often.
They better be.
Nice to see boats I can actually afford!
You mean only just about afford. 😆
We are in the same boat. Loved it.
Lolz
Don't worry most of the people in the high dollar boats can't really afford them and have notes stretched out for 10 years
Uh, have you priced a Boston Whaler? They only LOOK affordable.
@@posest yeah but a 16’ whaler rides like no other boat I’ve been in at that size.
Hats off to the Carolina skiff duo! Great example of putting pride aside for safety’s sake. Lots smarter than a lot of boaters in similar circumstances. 👍👍
attitude before altitude.
I won't even bother
...the kids putting the their PFDs on before they get back to where the parents are.
Classic 👌
If they were my kids they would have "Some explaining to do" After I spent so much money on stylish white water PFD's with knives and whistles.
Too true... that cracked me up. Those jackets are total crap, so I guess I can't falt the kids that much. Their parents should have made them buy better PFD's.for their boat. But that's just my opinion. I see that the blue top legend dad makes them were PFD's in the inlet. It's good to see them set a good example for other youngsters.
This is what we want to see every now and then. :)
Love the small boats fleet being showcased. Thank you.
Haulover Mosquito Fleet. When I get my superyacht, I'm going to name it CHICKEN, so I can name the tender CHICKEN TENDER.
Now that's gold right there
Thanks, Shecky! "I'll be here all week, try the veal!" lol
Are you in OC this week for the white marlin. I heard 444 boats registered and the prize purse is $9.2 million.
Well now I`m hungry :p
i named my fishing boat Small Fry. When I win the lottery and buy a Beneteau Baraccuda 7, I will name it "French Fry"
Most Mosquito fleet captains are badass and fearless skippers!! They are sensible, skilled, know how to "operate" their gear, read the waves, how to maintain speed, to be safe ❤️🌹
Moral of the story, Boston Whalers are badass little boats
1:46 is my favorite. She is absolutely having the time of her life sitting so low to the water at that speed with the wind in her hair and her man in control. Love it.
1:45 that guy was the smoothest captain by far, surfing the wave with an 8hp like a madlad
We are not millionaires, we need more small boats :)
Sold all my big boats kept my 13 ft Boston Whaler with 50 hp Yamaha. Best boat I ever had. No repair s minor maintenance no yard bills .
How does boston whaler handles chop? I heard their nose dives in and has issues with enginr transom leveling?
@@ia6980 jumps chop if on the throttle with big 40 HP .
Transom perfect in my 1976 13ft.
Need wedges to mount newer motor on curved transom.
Not bad .
Never came loose.
Those RIBs are just spectacular boats in this or any environment !
Right! I want one!
Ah, good old 14ft aluminum with a 25HP Evinrude. Simple, reliable fun. Good driver, too.
Very nice assortment of small craft. The small ribs sure do look a whole lot more versatile than jet skis and almost as much fun.
I was thinking the same thing!
and could still fish from
@@marksallai2289 shit off mate this is interesting
Trained a little on a zodiac when I spent some time on a fire department..best week of boating in my life! 12 foot boat with a 40 hp tiller ..talk about fun
Love those Boston Whalers!!
Captains on small boats have a much better understanding of the capabilities i think of their vessel. Thats why they judge the situation much better
I was wondering if it's from more immediate/responsive controls and better immediate feedback. It seems like a night and day difference between the two categories based on this genre of videos anyway.
Yellow flats boat was a Hoog.
Thanks for doing a small boat video. It was a nice change of pace !
I love small boats, it`s such a humbling experience compared to other vessels, it`s like comparing a bicycle to a car, it really connects you to the ocean as you`re open and exposed, you feel every little thing and you know you really shouldn`t mess up.
A 14 footer with a 25hp 2stroke, no console and 10-12ft waves and this little boy is a happy camper ;)
Fun to see some small boats on the channel, good stuff 👍
this is exactly what i have 14 footer aluminium 25hp 2 stroke no console, so much fun we always go in small rivers with friends and try to drift in the turns and always miss the logs by centimeters like we're in dinghy derby
12 foot waves on 14 foot boat! I hope you are joking.
Always wondered how little vessels would handle this inlet and is actually fun to watch. The millions dollars boats just power thru it, the small vessels have to know what they're doing.
Much more fun than the big boats.
Still waiting to see Cleetus in the Mountain Dew Jet Boat......... lol.
ha
Was thinking the same thing!
More like this please
Its interresting to see small engines and boats vs big sea
I have a RIB tender and I’ve had several small whalers. This day was easy for them. I think the only risky navigation here are the alum boats going out. Especially that Sea Nymph. That thing was overloaded with no freeboard. They got lucky they didn’t get waked!
More of these please
Everyone loses it when ppl bring a pontoon out of haulover but a aluminum jon boat w a 15 hp motor is no big deal lol
I would argue that some of these boats were dangerously underpowered for the inlet. I doubt all of them could make it back when the tide is going out. They would end up like the kayakers who try to fight the current and never win.
You can take a Jonboat anywhere
as long as the waves aren't over 1 foot the Jon boat is totally safe, wait, I think Albert Einstein once said, running haulover in a jon boat and expecting to live is the definition of insanity
Trim her up, weight in the back, and keep it at that speed right before getting on plane and you can get a jon boat over some pretty serious stuff
@@andys4971 knowing your boat is crucial for bad seas. Great example. Throttle management goes a long way
Most of these little guys are actually better than the big boats. Drivers have more skill than those larger boats.
That jon boat was me in Lake Sebago Maine. I am thoroughly impressed at what you can do with a 16 foot Jon and 20hp. It was short enough to fit in the trough and enough power to make it over the wave
The Best Video I have seen in a very long time! Thank you for sharing.
Right! Real people!
Sometimes the small boats can be a lot of fun
They are way more fun, like driving a go kart. Big boats are cool to relax on buy you ain't in the water unless in one of these
Who here hasn't done the turn back of shame and fish from shore instead? I have... those waves just look so small from the launch lol.
Love the small boats,
2:01 The reel is worth more than the boat😂😂
Whalers own the day.
cool to see all kindsa regular boats for a change.
I have to say these lil boats handled it better than some big boats
Love the small boats
More small boats!!!
Those RIBS are incredible in rough seas
@everyday tenor hitting rocks or an oyster bed is big no no ith aluminum boats
Wow never knew them whalers were that popular. Must be a good boat... lol
WOW! This is the first video that I've actually seen life vests being used. Not very many but there were a few.
i like the small ones, easy and quick to get out and get back on land, easier and cheaper to maintain, takes up less space.
You forgot they get used more also!!! The bigger the boat, the less it goes out.
I’ve always been a small boat fan, and your vlog didn’t disappoint at all! Great footage, thanks for posting and sharing with us. I’ll subscribe and high five.
them lil center console zodiacs look more fun than a jetski to me
rippin right along
This helps my confidence of taking my Carolina skiff 162 JLS out to the jetties
That's a brave man in that swamp flat bottom boat.
These small boat do it better then the bigger🤣
I just bought a Boston whaler 210 with a 150hp Mercury 4 strokes engines. Marvelous performance
Love the small boats!
Those little jet ribs are pretty cool
Thanks for filming, I've always wondered how a 60hp Tracker would handle that water
I love the mosquito fleet. Its the only one I'll ever actually be able to participate in.
Great to see something different.
Hey, look, they're having just as fun as the big boats.
Baddest boat in this video, Maby, but the baddest boat that kicks all is that girl in the blue top legend....😎
@00:10 No life vests, no worries. We have natural selection on our side.
The Zodiac Pro would be my pick. Look how easily it planes.
Good thing to think at the little and cute boat ! Actually I really love pneumatic boat!!
First dude handled that
THE BEST !
Wish you’d filmed the yellow Cheetah Marine cat coming in at 3.52. She’s a long way from home in the Isle of Wight Uk where they’re made.
It looks familiar I think it was in another video
yay!!! for the small boat show!!!!!
There’s just Something about Boston whalers that i love. These 17’ ones are perfect for the East pass here in Destin
Here in Australia at my local marina theres a Boston Whaler with twin 250hp Mercurys, i dont think its much more than 17ft and it has a nice semi enclosed cabin, its a rocket.
@@bazbbeeb7226 twin 250s on a sub 20’? Hot damn that’s a rocket for sure.
@@huggablycute yeah, you can imagine which id rather have when im trying to get home on my 31ft yacht doing 4 knots in a head wind. The same places it takes me two days to explore he could do it in two hours.
@@bazbbeeb7226 how much do you think one would cost with a center counsel?
such a classic boat
In other news 3 men in a duck boat went on a 3 hour tour, a 3 hour tour
Excellente idée, images toujours aussi belles et avec des bateaux qui nous ressemblent beaucoup plus!
Merci
Boston Whaler, the king of small boats!
0:40 this is what life should be...
Is there something in the background I’m not catching?
1:40 That's how you do it with small boat in large wake. Draw your line and match the speed of the wake. We love surfing our j16!
I like my 16' smoker craft.
Best captains for sure
I loved the jury-rigged yellow suncover/bimini on that Zodiak Pro
The little Avon at 1:30 dudes just got it FIREWALLED... LOL.
The tiny Avon and Highfield console boats did me a solid.
More like this please!
Cant wait to run my small boat through there!
Love seeing the small boats lol 😂 people are crazy
Dinghys rock! Many ocean rescue boats are dinghys. They only go out when the big storm hits!
Man I'd love to take my boat through this inlet! 6.2 lsv would be a blast in there!!
This is relaxing to watch lol
Lots of life vests. And good decision making.
Awesome! I recently purchased a Placom 410 and reinforced the transom. Tested it with a 15hp all went fine. Thinking about putting atleast a 50hp behind it! See how it goes
Do more of these !
@4:20, smartest ones I've seen yet putting on the life jackets !
Nice to see small boats we have a lot of them in holland 😜👍🏻
Very interesting... Are there Bayliners too? I could not remember to see on in all of your videos
I would be scared to take these boats out on Lake Erie lol. When I was a kid My dad had a 28ft all wood Chris Craft with twin inboard V8's. that boat could handle anything.
I dont know but, looking awesome when you use mini boat trough the big wave. Lol
I don't care what anyone has to say.... small boats are by far the most fun and memorable!!!! Give me a 14/16ft over a 20ft+ any day of the week!!
The flat tracker at the end the balls on that one.
Those Boston Whalers are cool
The whalers know how to get it done
So many Whalers!
Greetings from Greece. The only sizes, I recognise :) That was great. The only thing I can't believe exists, is skyscrapers, by the sea :)
id rather live in i.e. Crete than the area featured in the vid. I hope you guys are doing OK. Love from Australia.
Sweet boats I can afford! But definitely rather watch Apache!!!
It’s a matter of knowing your limitations and picking the right days to go out! Calm seas is always a good thing!
+1 for small boats!!
Small boats are fun. So are small cars, for much the same reasons. This is a good thing, cos I can't afford big ones.
