You were definitely busy! Gotta say though… it was kind of painful watching you ignore all the more expensive butterflies especially since Flick was on the island!
Also… I would count the bug and fish models as DIY. You need to collect the supplies, you just have to give them to Flick to craft.
(Also don’t forget some of the really big fish like the sharks will come in more of an above-ground pool which could make for an interesting build)
Only for Clay(or Bob) will I say something. Clay is the freaking cutest little guy EVER. I love him so so much. I found him on an NMT search and as soon as I saw his face- that was the end for me. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ He and Robert can’t ever leave my National Park Island. ❤
So when you acquire another top 50 villager- will you give them a special build too? And break up the neighborhood?

You have the DIYs you need to make a good pottery studio! That could be Erik's business, or just somewhere else on the island.
I’ve never really planned out an island like this, as bad as I am with being creative this is a big help lol
Before I did RUclips, I designed my island like this with the symmetry and the in game paths on a grid. It’s very satisfying!
You land on this lovely island and are excited to see what it has. You approach the info building and see the worker behind the desk. His nametag says... Stinky. And he is truly the island representative
I am LOVING this series! Also I really like how you are laying paths first, I've never thought of that and it feels like it would make it easier for my brain since I've never been able to fully decorate an Island. I always get stuck. Thanks Dan for doing this challenge! It's a lot of fun to watch and look forward to every day!
it's really too bad that the Kapp'n islands don't have a villager on them. We only get to one a day, so I feel like it would be balanced enough if we were able to recruit a Kapp'n island villager the same way we can recruit campsite villagers.

If Ive said it once, I'll say it again, watching you do this is a HUGE help to me doing my island as well. As far as villagers are concerned though, I have two top 50's so far, Shino and Marina
I love planning the layout this way as well. I move things out of my way for the paths, buildings and villager homes and then place rivers, ponds, cliffs, inclines and bridges around them and then decorate . It’s always turned out beautifully for me. This island is looking fantastic Dan! 👍🏼👏🏼

You absolutely can get crops on Kappn islands without cooking. I haven’t learned cooking on my R2R island and I have found crops on my Kappn visits! I guess it’s just luck!

I haven't unlocked cooking yet (for the reason you said, I am trying to get more DIYs first) and I have found crop Kapp'n islands.

I see we still haven’t noticed the path the shop removed. You wont be able to replace it, you can’t place path up to the entrance of the nooklings
He’ll have to move the nook’s cranny somewhere else, place the path, then move nook’s cranny back. 😭
I honestly think it's a missed opportunity that you didn't call this series the DIY-land series.
The normal trees arent as valubale as you might think, you can get them from leaving old money trees
you could save cooking for the last 7 days of the challenge
Not as much as 10 days but still enough to learn some recipes and have fun with the ones you get

hate to throw a wrench in the works, but you did not craft the paths...wouldn't you need to replace the dirt and stone paths with a custom path?
