What a brutal first issue (Issue #19) to the new Fortress Vader arc in the Vader comic series! The Eeth Koth aspects were really good, but the parallels and connections with Koth and the attempts of Anakin were my favourite parts of the issue. I have some additional videos planned for this issue, but the Inquisitors, Vader, and of course the ancient Sith Lord Momin seem like they are going to make the upcoming issues of this arc incredible! I’d love to hear what you thought of Issue #19 and I hope that you all enjoy today’s video. :)
I think it showed the brutality and indifference of Vader on an entire new level. At this point Vader is Truly consumed by the dark side. It's hard to believe he sees the light again at all. Still Anakin is my favorite Star Wars character. I like Vader, don't get my wrong. But the tragedy that lead Anakin to become Vader hits home very hard for me. Honestly after my son died I felt like "turning to the dark side." But., Vader kind of keeps me in check in a way. Showing me that anger is not the right path. Great videos my friend, I love your dedication to your work. Thank you greatly.
Am I the only one who feels that Eeth Koth was kinda wasted? It's not that I dislike the direction this issue took him and I am in fact really interested in just why he was kicked off the High Council, but he's a named, known character and Jedi Master who deserved more; certainly more than Ferren Barr from the Mon Cala arc. So, somewhat torn on this issue. Liked it, really did, but Eeth Koth wasn't exactly the man I would have used for one single issue of "Here's a Jedi, now he's gone"
Imagine if this is just a set-up for Marriss Brood being Eeth Koth's daughter, setting up a canonized version of TFU content, with Shaak Ti turning Marriss to the light (Watch Ti's canon death be retconned... again... like for the 5th time). Think about it... a female Zabrak infant. TFU takes place 16 years after the events of Order 66, and this issue is... what? months after? While Marriss WAS a former padawan that survived Order 66, this could still work, seeing as how she was still clearly very young.
Next to the Thrawn Alliances novel, this is the best thing in Star Wars right now! They're hitting all the right notes with artwork and storylines! Thanks for the breakdown and have a great day, SWRC! 😊
Sports By The Gram He says the Jedi kicked him out. He and Mira must have had a secret relationship during the Clone Wars and the Jedi must have found out. That is the most probable explanation.
Raghuvar Vasudev he didnt say anything about being kicked out and he was the only jedi who was aloud to have relationships it was part of his zabric race to do so and really i thought sidiuos cut him down durning the Mace Windu dual
Sports By The Gram 1. Koth explicitly states that the Jedi Council kicked him out. 2. You're thinking of the Cereans (Ki Adi Mundi's race). 3. The Zabrak Jedi that Palpatine killed was Agen Kolar, who replaced Koth on the Council.
I kinda like it. It's more realistic. Sure they were jedi, but they're also people, people who arent perfect and who may find love or turn dark. They adjusted to the new world, believing that the jedi order was truly dead
Cool video👍 but vader didn't kill the 2 inquisitors because he hates people that are in love. Like vader said to Sidious the two inquisitors were traitors, the female inquisitor was trying to build a coalition against them, plus she and the other inquisitor had attachment for each other which is a huge weakness like vader said, something vader was always trying to relinquish from all of the inquisitors so they could become more powerful and in turn making them better jedi hunters but the 2 inquisitors had become somewhat of a problem, so vader had to extinguish the infection before it could spread. Vader and his inquisitors tracked down Jedi master Eeth Koth who was once a member of the Jedi high council, Koth's child was just born when vader showed up, as vader and Eeth engaged in a duel vader told his inquisitors to bring back the mother and infant because they ran but the female inquisitor let the mother and child go she only then snatched the child with the force when she realized the 5th brother saw what she did, even though she got child the female inquisitor let the mother escape, soon after Vader killed master Eeth Koth but later on the 5th brother told Vader what happened, So vader had major suspicions, when he went and attacked the female inquisitor it only confirmed he was correct. Vader killed the 2 inquisitors not out of jealousy or any other idea but because they were traitors the empire.
[sigh] And another great Jedi is dead. Killing off Eeth Koth like this was one thing, but it's starting to get annoying overall. I mean, are we EVER gonna have even ONE permanent survivor of the Jedi Purge in the new canon? I mean, in Legends someone lived to join Luke's New Jedi Order, and that's just one example. Could we please Please have at least a small number of Jedi who aren't killed off during the hunt? Or at least have some Younglings live, but have to make it on their own?
