I've seen a number of people claiming he died of COVID. I really hope not. I hope he's ok. But apparently he stopped posting everywhere, not just RUclips. That makes me think that unfortunately, the rumors are true.

I feel like the reason Bad Batch retold the events of Order 66 with Kanan was to retcon the old comic since the comic's portrayal of how Grey dealt with it doesn't fit any other example in canon at all. I don't think Grey should have been able to resist, and I don't think he was supposed to be able to, out of universe. So they took the chance to fix the error.

I miss this. By far my favorite youtuber. Easily the best star wars channel. I used to watch swrc videos when I got home from work and watched his live streams also. Now I have a small library of star wars novels thanks to Glenn's passion for star wars.
I've heard he became one with the force. I hope not.
I wish there was a way we could find out he's ok.

They probably were no longer under the direct control of it after a certain period of time.
Instead, most were probably under the psychological control of it long after. Self-justification and all.

hi i had an idea for a video! something about how exactly sifo dyas was convinced to order the clone army and why dooku wanted him dead? or just connecting sifo dyas, dooku, jango fett and the clones, to the pykes on oba diah and stuff? (season 6 of clone wars) i've been trying to piece it all together and also did dooku give the inhibitor chips to sifo dyas or directly to the kaminoans? like i've been dying to know the exact process of how it all came together.. its just really interesting to me and idk if theres any part of the eu that adds to this but yeah sorry for the rant (and confusion)
I never liked the idea of the biochip implants in the Clone-troopers as it came across as a blatant retcon.
The inhibitor chips is one thing canon got right. Legends version of clone troopers is so dull.
Agreed I never liked how in legends it was extreme loyalty to the supreme chancellor that caused the clones to turn against the Jedi

I don’t differentiate between legends and Canon it’s still Star Wars I like them both they both have good and bad elements
The inhibitor chips were one of the worst things that Clone Wars ever retcon. I don't know how anyone defend that shit. And I hate the revision of people memories, forgetting clones that freely disobey order 66.
No. It makes them perfect soldiers. They're just bred for war, Not to care. It's colder in legends. It's ridiculous in Disney canon.

In the films, some extra audio like “I’m sorry General” would have been very tragic. (And maybe preventing more tangled lore)

It's kind off cool how the last several years of SW has made Order 66 not merely 1 of the key events of the end of the war, but the axis point on which the the galaxy's main power turns from the Republic into the Galactictic Empire.
They've turned this into the moment that allows this paradigm shift to occur rather than just another factor.
It's kind of like Order 66 is the Aegon's Landing of the new cannon & I kind of love it xx
Disney doesnt get that credit, it was already the "axis" or "tipping" point before Disney ever bought star wars, you're too young and or dumb to know that
The force push on both commanders might have knocked and damaged Grey's inhibitor chip which made him later questioned order 66.
The first two episodes of the Bad Batch were great to me. Although the retcons were quite intriguing, especially how they made Captain Styles and Commander Grey one person. But at the same time, we could’ve had seen Order 66 with a different Jedi Master and Padawan.
But overall, I’m loving the series so far! One of my favorite part was the food fight in the mess hall.
Who is to say Styles wasn't somewhere else other than the front lines on Kallor, maybe at the base camp?

This makes me wonder... what if a clone commander was asleep while the order was given, or if their coms were not working so they did not hear the order. I wonder if it could only be triggered once, or after the fact in cannon.
It could be triggered any time as shown in the vader comic whe a Rouge jedi expose vader for being a former jedi and ordered them to execute order 66, they tried and well obviously died

Troopers could not go directly against Order 66 but apparently could act to sabotage it indirectly.
A trooper could get he was under control from an external force and undermine indirectly Order 66.
To be clear: normal people is very good at sabotaging themselves when they believe they don't deserve something or they don't want something. They find a way to fail.
The same is for clone troopers. If a clone believed, even unconsciously, something to be wrong, he had a lot of ways to fail creatively.

It's been obvious for a while now that movies and TV series supercede every other media in terms of being canon, but I do find it annoying. For all preaching about their new continuity, Disney still cares little. It was never going to be perfect, but changing canon for the simple sake of a Kanan cameo... leaves a bitter taste in my mouth

Unpopular opinion : It was better without those chips back then and in legends. They think and make the decision depending on their experience with the Jedi or some of them felt so sad like Bly and 327th that they made sure their Jedi would get a quick death. I think this was darker and more emotional.

The short answer is they weren't. Though the Bad Batch for the most part didn't get their chips activated until later.
