But I Think it's weird that Vader tries to hide his old identitiy. I mean he only got into the suit because he nearly burned to death. If he wasn't on Mustafar he would look like before and eveyone would know him.
He hates himself for what he's done and is psychologically distancing himself from his identity. One may argue so far as to say that he's forced himself into having dissociative identity disorder.
Anakin was a passionate, caring individual who, throughout his life, had everyone he ever cared for taken away from him one way or another while more or less not having real choice in the matter. Then, he turned to the Dark Side trying to save the very person he cared about the most and try an exercise control of his situation for once. Then, in a fit of rage, strikes out at her when he thinks she too has betrayed him, then has his Ultimate Duel with his former master who he also thinks betrayed him, loses horribly, and gets painfully restored in a clunky cybernetic suit as literally half the man he once was, and told that he killed his own wife in his rage.
Anakin felt so lost and betrayed by everyone that he ultimately betrayed them back, went full monster, and then when everything calmed down, drowned in the horror he'd become. So he latched on to the Vader identity Palpatine gave him, shoved Anakin in a dark box in the corner of his mind, and became the villain we recognize today. Any reminder of his life as Anakin Skywalker brings pain and anguish for what might have been, and he lashes out, desperate to deny he is or ever was Anakin, the hero who went so wrong, so fast.
That's why he doesn't let people see his face or know his real identity. He won't be pitied. Pity is for weaker creatures. Pity is for Anakin, who he is 'not'. He is stronger than that, he is 'Darth Vader'.
If vader did not get burned he would have probably worn some sort of Sith mask because he would not want to be called by his old name.
True but let’s think about how when Luke said his name Vadar said anakin was weak, to me that’s true he gave his whole life up and the order just for his wife
@Anthony Tsatsis if I'm not wrong, Vader long before that knew Palpatine wasn't his friend nor mentor, so knowing palpatine lied to him on Padme's death probably wasn't a huge surprise to him.
Vader was just tolerating palpatine BS, just because he knew he had to wait for the perfect time to finally kill him and become the new emperor, I think that was Vader's biggest goal, at least, before he met Luke.

Edit: typo I meant Vader knew that both Thrawn and Tarkin both new the he was formerly Anakin Skywalker.

@@realkoryheard Actually no, Vader did not know that Thrawn knew. Had he known, he would have killed Thrawn. Thrawn did know that he was Anakin Skywalker, but he didn't tell Vader, instead he trolled him about it. There was a time Vader nearly was going to kill Thrawn just for suspecting he knew, but I'm assuming since he wasn't 100% sure whether he knew or not and probably because Thrawn was an accomplished commander, he never killed him. However, Vader never officially knew that Thrawn knew about his identity. Tarkin I believe did know about it, but he was safe because he had Darth Sidious's grace and one the most respected Generals. He also fell under the direct command of Sidious, not Vader, so if anything, he wasn't Vader's to kill.
Imagine if all the star wars fans teleported to vaders room and we all called him anakin.

The gun she had was a Lightsaber Rifle. She had to load in her saber as ammo, which made the rifle fire an incredibly powerful laser, but also destroyed it in the process.
A typical lightsaber would only grant the shooter three shots before it was permanently destroyed by the sheer power of the weapon.
So it would destroy the lightsaber and the rifle because of how powerful it was?
Probably the single worst concept for a weapon I have EVER heard.
Many years after his death, the entire galaxy would find out about Darth Vader’s true identity as Anakin Skywalker, through an old recording that the late Senator Bail Organa had left for his stepdaughter Leia. It also revealed that Leia and Luke were both Children of Vader. Thus, Anakin’s reputation as the greatest hero in the clone wars would be tarnished with the galaxy knowing that he has become Darth Vader. The entire Skywalker bloodline would be despised by the entire galaxy because of the atrocities Darth Vader committed over the decades.

in legends its known be atleast some outside characters if i dont remember wrong, but we never see people hating the skywalker bloodline, luke is a realy respected person, leia is at some point heads of state and have a lot to do with the politics all the way, not even when her first son falls to the darkside is the family truly hated, its some emneti amoungs some people towards luke for failing to see it happening but thats realy it. nothing towards Leia and Han. ofc its admiral dala but she is basicly hating on all the jedi order, not just a couple of characters

during the original trilogy it gets apparent that many imperial general don't believe in the force, the clone wars already being partially a legend in the outer borders of the galaxy and some not even knowing that Vader is a real person. you sure that "information" which might as well just be a regular scam/legend would get much attention?

weird, when order 66 came into effect. The 501st followed Anakin to the temple massacre. If the clones have already been cleared that Anakin's not a threat like the other jedi, I would've thought the other clones would behave the same way as the 501st did.
Yes, you're right about the 501st following Anakin into the massacre, but that isn't what Fox did. Fox commanded the Coruscant Guard, which is a completely different legion of clones out of 279 known units.. The 501st were basically the Navy Seals of the Republic. They were much more loyal and efficient, which made them very hard to get into. They were Vader's fist.
Also by that point he had become Darth Vader, and identified as such by those soldiers.

Vader/anakin got revenge for fives if you really think about it he killed fox which was the clone that shot fives and prevented order 66 from being uncovered. edit : thank you for all the likes usually i don't get that many

That explains alot to me, I have always wondered why there were not more siths after the Empire rose up. But knowing that Darth Vader knew he would be replaced if the emperor ever started a new sith order or find a new apprentice it makes more sense that Vader would always destroy any tracks of force sensitives or destroy any who could challenge Vader.

Even in these actions, Anakin is protecting the balance of the force. He does it out of hatred, malice and self serving reasons, but ultimately he protected the future of the force.

Edit: the clones there were corusant guards most likely so they were unaware Vader was Anakin but the 501st knew and were still loyal to anakin as he was no longer a Jedi

@@dangerousfreedom5340 the weapons don't determine the color, the gas used in them does. Red is a cheaper gas while blue is more electrically charged and thus more effective against droids. It's also more expensive. Once the Clone Wars ended they definitely would've switched to the cheaper red gas since the Droid Army was no more.

simple: Operation Nightfall was the most top secret military operation of the entire Clone Wars era and only the 501st and Vader himself were aware of it.

Vader is actually a good guy. He walks a fine line between Sidious and the Jedi. Both are corrupt. They wanted to go after innocent children and would have, had Vader not stepped in. Vader works within the system and normally makes the correct call. At least until he meets Luke. Then things change.

Operation Nightfall was a top secret Black Op effectively. and Vader's public existence was also kept secret for a fairly long time after the Clone Wars ended.

that wouldn't make sense. Because he walked with thousands of troopers inside the temple as Anakin skywalker. So it wouldn't make sense that the clone would do order 66 on vader
In clone wars its described as there being a list of Jedi to kill in the clones inhibitor chips. Ahsoka wasn't a Jedi but she was still hunted by the clones because she was on that list. I'm certain that Anakin wasn't on the list, as Palpatine had always planned for him to be his apprentice.

the jedi had fallen so far at that point. they glorified their actions and defined everything by what they thought was right, when in reality, it was very wrong. they were too scared of the dark side rising that they didn't even realize they were encouraging it to rise in the first place :') both the jedi and the sith are messed up
