- I'm finally back and so ready to start on this concert setlist! #FirstTimeReaction is to #DarkChestOfWonders by #Nightwish and while I have heard the song with Floor this reaction is a first with Tarja. So imagine it's Wednesday, sit back and (hopefully) enjoy!

This Planet Hell is unmatched

I LOVE TARJA'S VOICE
First time hearing Tarja sing this song, have only heard Floor’s version and I did enjoy it. All I’m sorry for is only discovering them probably about a year and a half ago. I have heard their 3 singers and enjoy them all. However I have a preference for Floor. Glad you are doing this concert, as it will give me a chance to enjoy Tarja. These days with RUclips I get to discover so many artists unheard of here in Australia. So many great European metal groups, I’m discovering. I’m in my 70’s, so I wish I had discovered Nightwish earlier but at least of have found them. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺

The best live of this song. I specially like the beginning...so grand opening....band is playing furiously and the entering is maybe the most "sunshinish" than ever. Sad that those smiles disappeared after the concert.

This song is perfect with Tarja's voice, sounds so much better.
After this concert you should go back even furhter and do "From Wishes to Eternity" from 2000, a too often overlooked concert, but their most "magical" era IMO. A lot of the great songs from that show are only reacted to from the 2018 show now. The 2002/2003 tour would also be included in that era, but there are ony a few low quality full concerts out there from that tour.

@@Stanzishouse thanks! You definitely won't be ready for how much Diana's vocals have grown. All of Diana's fans are still in shock. Diana in a new show, 9 new songs in 9 different genres. There were already 2 showdowns, Diana surprised us both times, we expect even more in the next episodes.

Oh you stopped listening NW after this concert (Tarja's last one). So how did you listen them, back when there was no video tube sites yet? Did you go to concerts or was it records you bought?
Interesting that microphone development thing. I thought the big change was starting to record from the mixing board There's BTW nowadays plenty of Tarja era videos that fans remastered: very nice quality.

Tarja doesn't match the microphone, the microphone waits to see what she's wearing then magically changes colour! 😁

A little much for me. But all my respect for Tarja.
I am sorry, but after I heard this one with Floor this is not realy working for me.... There is other songs in this show that are amazing but this one nah....

I do understand - it's almost like two different songs. For me, in this performance, I was loving hearing the "Nightwish-sound" I was more familiar with in my teens. Tarjas voice and the sound of the "boys" instruments was very nostalgic.

The song is better on tarja's vocals. In fact, all the old songs are better with Tarja. NW sounds unique with Tarja's voice and now its just a band like many others.

Without wanting to start a discussion, for me her voice is clean operatic quality but there is no dynamic nor emotion in it.

Sorry to much over the top with Tarja for me. Must stop listening. I did not hear this song before Floor arrived. So Tarja is for me just wrong on this.
For me it's almost vice versa. I love Floor on many of these songs, but as I have used to hear these with Tarja's operatic vocals, it is very weird to hear them in any other way. I also love Tarja's staccato vocal parts, which Floor doesn't do at all. But I don't like everything Tarja does either. On some parts she really overexaggerate her vibrato, which sounds pretty horrible.
"It is very weird"...I meant that it WAS. It's not weird anymore, but I still tend to prefer Tarja. Love and appreciate Floor too.
