How long does your dishwasher operate before the heating element kicks on? On mine, now that I have the motor fixed, Running Heavy cycle with Boost and Steam turned on, it goes for about 30-40 minutes and 5 Gallons of water before the enclosure gets hot. I'm just curious if that's a normal is all.
It could be an initial rinse cycle. Maybe there's another mode that skips it? If you want to dive deep, check out Technology Connection's video on dishwasher soap :)
I had the same problem, I replaced the door latch assembly, 25$ish part. That fixed it after I went to the breaker and flipped it 4 or 5 times lol... Literally made no sense

The control board is probably different for each dishwasher (you should open it up and find out). My part number was WD21X24902. I wanted a no-hassle return in case it didn't work, so I went with Parts Dr. partsdr.com/part/wd21x24902-control-board

I can't provide a link here, but the part number for my dishwasher is WD21X24902 and I ended up ordering it from Parts Dr because they had a good return policy. However it was a little more expensive than other vendors.
