Excellent! This is the only video I have come across that actually solved my problem! GE couldn’t even tell me this! This dishwasher has a very poor design and poor quality
I think the quality is very good. Mine works great. Probably the best dw I ever had. At least the top dish rack has a meaty bracket and doesn't collapse under weight. The lock switch leaves a lot to be desired. It's a pita.

I have a love hate relationship with my GE Profile dishwasher. Buttons are too sensitive. Loaded the dishwasher and accidentally touch the Control lock button..Been fighting with this for hours. EXCELLENT! We had been struggling for 2 days to remove the LOCK. Owner manual says to hold both DRY BOOST and SANI / STEAM at the same time - didn't work. Correct method is to hold ONLY the SANI / STEAM. Worked perfect! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

My dear husband and I live in an older home and had a hard enough time finding a dishwasher that is open at the bottom. We had a difficult time getting the hoses to attach, and now we're having this same issue with same model only we don't have a child lock on ours. I wish I could shove this new technology right up the behinds of the intelligent folks who create these new products that must be made to keep the average handyman or handywomen from installing they're own products! Reminds me of when you use to could work on a vehicle before the new computer technology came along and made it impossible for someone to work on their own vehicle without relying on a mechanic with the special computer testing equipment. Hope we can figure this out because this is day two project of what normally would have taken us less than an hour to put together!

thank you for posting this. I tried everything to get the lock feature off. I bumped something and that's how it came on. It's 11:15 pm at night, and I so needed to turn the dishwasher on. I miss my Maytag, I should have repaired it rather than purchasing this GE dishwater as the GE leave spots on the bottom of cups and bowels which the Magtag never did. My model is the same as yours except the last for digit are different, N3FS

Thanks you so Much You saved the day I was so frustrated after shutting off the power for a few minutes to re clean the filter and it didn't reset!! I had some anger management issues. I miss my Maytag, I should have repaired it rather than purchasing this GE dishwater as the GE leave spots on the bottom of cups and bowels which the Magtag never did. My model is the same as yours except the last for digit are different, N3FS
