I am new subscriber and i am glad i found your channel. I have been struggling with homemaking since i am a single parent and feel like i will never get to be a wife with a house full of kids, to whom of which i could homemake for. It has left me feeling bad for wanting to be a homemaker(its my hearts desire), but in todays world, nobody wants or value that anymore. So i feel so out of place and had given up on the desire. But now i just want my home to be a haven instead of a burden. So thank you fir the videos. Much love and support to you and yours. 😊❤❤
Oh my heavens I am so so happy you found my channel. Girl I can so relate to this! I got married a little later in life (well, in my culture! Haha) and I remember it being so hard how badly I wanted to be a homemaker but felt like I had no one to make a home for. So I started doing it for myself as an act of self-love/love for my home. I figured I’d just start becoming the homemaker I always wanted to be before I even got to “be her” in the traditional sense of the word. I’ve found so much joy in homemaking, and I’m so so happy to connect with someone else that feels the same way. Creating a haven on earth, especially with all the craziness in the world is truly a beautiful thing! 🥰❤️

Please don't get your feelings hurt, because that's not my intention, but that music is driving me crazy, lol. I finally turned the sound off to watch the rest of your video 😊. The only reason I even mention it is because I do want to continue watching. Otherwise, I would just scroll on by and never comment. That would be so unfair to you. I wish you the best, and will watch silently if I must. But, if it's all the same to you...change the music or eliminate altogether. You are certainly worthy of watching all on your own 😊.

"domestic darling" is brilliant. I'm a homemaker and also a guy. A lot of the female-oriented language feels off-putting in communities like homemaking. Right off of the bat, your channel feels more welcoming than most. :D
Oh my heavens welcome!! It makes my day to hear that! It was inspired by the phrases “Domestic Engineer” or “Domestic Manager” that I’d hear growing up. But I still love feeling dainty, so finally landed on “Domestic Darling.” For the Vintage vibes. 😅🥰

The music is very distracting. Maybe use music with no lyrics.

I agree! It made me sick to throw away so much. Since this video was recorded I was able to implement a much better system of cooking meals so that I could freeze leftovers to eat later. I was a newlywed when recording, and NOT used to cooking for two instead of my family of six. 🤣😅
