as an italian, I don't understand how I never knew about this before. This is epic.
It's a song from Maury Yeston's musical Nine, based on the Fellini film 8 1/2
This version/adaptation sucks. The actual movie, Nine, was infinitely better. I would recommend you buy the DVD. This song was so much better in every aspect in the film.

An entertaining number in its own right -- thank you, fellers. I was expecting a bit more twist to a song that richly deserves a parody. On second thought, the original is a parody itself, so all these guys could do was a better version of it. Bravissimi!

Reminiscent of the original Tommy Tune choreography however he can’t beat the powerful voice of the late Kathi Moss. They did upgrade the tambourine routine and I think it works much better than the sand used in the movie.

I am a bit let down. Actually not sexy or sensual at all. There is nothing forbidden or subversive, which the original has and what one would hope from something like this kind of re-imagining. More cruise ship that theatre. And it is very entertaining and somewhat titillating. There is nothing more revealed by having this particular group of men doing this number. A nice Disney like, technically well executed rendition. What still shines through is the writing.
