- Design a brand for a kids clothing brand with me! We are doing brand research to understand the parents and create a psychographics. Then we dive into sketching, logo designs and create cute patterns, illustrations and a visual language for Fox&Bear.

@@Kayla-app I'm using your videos to teach myself in hopes of perhaps making this a career for myself. They have already given me a ton of confidence seeing the process a real designer uses and their real creations and final products.
Along with these kinds of video, I need to learn illustrator and procreate. If you feel up to doing a serious on illustrator to get a novice like me up and going enough to start creating logos like you that would be really helpful. I'm mean like for people who have never even opened illustrator before. That's me!
These simple and informative branding videos are extremely helpful, for someone studying design independently. Seeing your process is a major key. Big W!

Thank you for taking the time to walk us through the process - you kept it informative yet succinct and engaging. So helpful! Absolutely loved seeing the brand come together and the final product was adorable! If you ever have the time, I'd love to see a video on how you created the mock ups (i.e. how you took your pattern and placed it perfectly on the little boy's shirt etc.).

This particular brand is a passion project but some of the brands I share here on the channel are for real clients.The Samsas one for example 😊 Many times it can be tricky to share work for clients with confidentiality so sometimes I create fictional brands to expand my portfolio and have more to share with you 🙌 Thank you for watching!

How we send files to our clients??
In 6:17 how did you reduce the gaps between the letters?
Great question! If you double click in between the letters to place your cursor and then click hold down "option" while you use the arrow keys, you can move right and left to increase or decrease the space. I hope that helps! 🙌

It's called Milanote. I use them all the time for moodboards, organising my business and collaboration 😊

Haha, yes right! I had some in the sketching stage and if I would create a lot of illustrations for the brand it would be really fun to create cute characters 😊 I'm happy you enjoyed the video 🙌
My biggest problem creating logos is managing time and presentation. I fell like I take to much time choosing color and typography and I feel such an impostor. I know how color and types work, but still takes too much time to choose. Sometimes I don't aply for jobs 'cause I feel I'm gonna fail
Hi Marina, I can totally relate. Imposter syndrome is really hard! I think a really tricky part of branding is that it could take really long or go quicker depending on your inspiration and how well you already know the industry. For me, having a really clear process and giving myself more time for projects has been really helpful. I will make sure to include picking typefaces and colours in the series we are making.

If you design something like this for a customer, do you provide one design like this, or do you offer different suggestions they can choose from? I’m always trying to make multiple logo’s but I do like the idea of making one complete thing like this.
Great question! We typically design two or three concepts "fully" not quite as far as this but almost. We have also thought about having just one, but it is always hard to predict which one they will love the most and our clients have really enjoyed being part of choosing the final direction. Since most clients come back for regular work after we create the brand, it feels worth it to explore all options at this foundational stage. I think it all depends on the budgets and your preferences :) I hope that helps!
